Chapter 263: Farm Turmoil

In the face of worsening environmental pollution, ZF did not dare to move the oil refineries, steel mills and thermal power stations, because these industries were important pillar industries for the local ZF wherever they were placed.

I don't know which brain cramps, persimmons pick up soft pinching, but they raised a butcher's knife to the breeding industry, and put the charge of environmental pollution on the heads of major farmers.

Indeed, some farmers discharge breeding waste directly into the environment, improper disposal of sick and dead livestock and poultry carcasses, etc., which also has some impact on the regional environment.

But why don't those mysterious relevant departments think about the causes of these problems from the perspective of farmers, but simply ban them with a piece of paper?

As farmers, they have long played an important role in ensuring the supply of livestock and poultry products in urban and rural areas, promoting farmers' income, and activating the rural economy.

Although the aquaculture industry was not developed in the past, and the number of aquaculture was much smaller than now, the mountains and rivers at that time were beautiful, and I did not feel that these aquaculture wastes would have much impact on the environment.

An industry that ZF once vigorously developed has become a class enemy in the blink of an eye, and it is forbidden to do this, to prohibit that.

For those farmers, in the case of high prices of grain, feed and labor, how can there be enough funds to build those harmless treatment facilities.

Especially the sick and dead livestock and poultry, the pigs are better, with the intervention of ZF and the insurance company, it must be really harmless before you can receive compensation, so in recent years, the phenomenon of abandoning dead pigs at will has been greatly reduced.

But other sick and dead livestock and poultry do not have this channel, ordinary farmers have no corresponding treatment experience, and for those individual farmers, you let them invest in the construction of harmless treatment facilities for sick and dead livestock and poultry that may occur in a year, which is simply to make them stop raising livestock and poultry.

And for those large farms, where do you let them remove the livestock and poultry manure?

Even if enough digesters were built to treat it, the large amount of residue that could not be decomposed could not be treated, because local farmers were accustomed to using clean, easy-to-use chemical fertilizers, and did not look down on the smelly organic waste.

Therefore, on the one hand, there is a decline in profits caused by the market environment, on the other hand, there is an increase in costs caused by policies and regulations, and the most helpless thing is that some documents require that there is no solution at all, either to relocate or shut down.

However, whether it is relocation or closure, for any farm, it means that all the previous investment cannot be recovered, and years of efforts are only in vain because of the sudden change of policy.

Although they are reluctant to give up, but they take the name of "environmental protection" and hold the blade of "for the people", and the practitioners of the farm can only helplessly suspend all production activities, dispose of some pigs at a low price, and strive to make the appearance of ongoing rectification.

At a time when the whole aquaculture industry was in turmoil, Minsheng Company took action again, and with the consent of the local ZF, they used a vacant land in the sewage treatment plant to start buying aquaculture waste from the whole county.

You heard it right, Minsheng decided to buy the breeding waste from farmers in the county at a price of 100 yuan per ton, and I heard that it was used as a raw material for the production of organic fertilizer.

The price of 100 yuan per ton, although not very high, is enough to cover the freight of transporting these aquaculture wastes to the sewage treatment plant anywhere in the county.

For those farmers, the waste that they are worried about not being able to dispose of finally has a reasonable place.

To tell the truth, in the period of increasingly strict environmental protection regulations, even if the Minsheng company does not give a penny, as long as it comes out and says that it is allowed to clear the breeding waste, those farms will never be polite, and guarantee that all the garbage generated in the farm will be sent to you.

What's more, the company also gave a price of 100 yuan per ton to purchase these wastes, which means that those farms have almost no additional expenses, and only need to buy a set of manure dehydrators, which can effectively reduce the impact of the breeding waste generated by the farms on the surrounding environment.

Since there is not much solid organic matter in the water separated from the waste, it can be effectively decomposed and purified after entering the biogas digester without any impact on the surrounding environment.

Some farms close to the sewage treatment plant, because the freight per ton is not much, even take up the business of buying aquaculture waste from those individual farmers to earn the difference.

As long as the waste they send does not have non-biodegradable items, the water content meets the requirements of Minsheng Company, and even the residue scooped out of the septic tank, it will be purchased at this price.

Those sick and dead livestock and poultry are purchased separately at a price of one yuan per catty, and the carcasses or diseased parts of the diseased animals are sent to high-temperature sterilization machinery and equipment for processing.

After humidification and mechanization, animal carcasses can be boiled into industrial oil, bones can be used as bone meal, and other residues can be sent to biogas digesters for treatment and can also be used as composting raw materials.

This treatment method is much more effective than primitive treatment methods such as deep burial and incineration, and can almost completely achieve the purpose of turning waste into treasure.
