(4) Frugal burial. Economical use was a very important point of view for the Mohists, who criticized the extravagance and waste of the monarch and aristocracy, and especially opposed the Confucian custom of long-term funeral and burial. It is believed that monarchs and nobles should live a clean and frugal life like the ancient Dayu. Mozi asked the ink artist to practice in this regard.
