As a great monk of the previous generation, he not only made great merits, but also promoted Buddhism in these five Indian lands for nearly a century, and once again carried forward Buddhism under the leadership of the king of the precepts.

Looking at the history of the seventh century onwards, it has to be said that this is not only an opportunity for the formation of time, but also destined for the spread of Buddhism to the east. If there was no Master Xuanzang, Buddhism might not have been so smoothly shining in the Tang Dynasty. If there was no Master Jiexian, Master Xuanzang's attainments would not have improved so quickly. All things in the world are intertwined and interlocking. The historical context is always so wonderful and so interesting.

Of course, after paying homage to the Buddha, it is natural to pay homage to the spiritual position of this precept master. After leaving this main hall, under the guidance of Master Mingkong, everyone chatted about it while watching the grand scene of Nalanda Temple. I only heard Wang Xuance ask: "I wonder if the mage can tell me how this master passed away at that time?" ”

"In the four years since you left, in order to allow this Buddhism to continue to flourish in our five Indias, Master, with the support of King Liroja, despite his infirmity and illness, still relied on his appeal to restore this Nalanda Monastery to half of its previous level. One morning, in my fourth year, I went to Master's meditation hall to greet him, and when I opened the door, I found that Master had already sat down. It can be regarded as an end of illness," Master Mingjing also said with a lot of longing for his master.

"In this way, the mage's life can be regarded as a good beginning and a good end, and in the second half of his life, he has exhausted his life's strength for the exchange with my Tang Kingdom" Wang Xuance also replied with a lot of regret.

"Yes, a few days before his death, Master often talked about Master Xuanzang and Changshi, talking about the two of you, one is generous and benevolent, the other is righteous and upright, and his words can't help but show praise. I don't know how Master Xuanzang is in your Tang Dynasty now? As soon as Master Mingjing's words changed, he continued to ask.

"Everything is fine, it is precisely because Master Xuanzang learned exquisite methods in your temple that he once again carried forward the Dharma in my Datang and made the Buddha's light shine." Wang Xuance replied to his words as he walked.

"Alas, this is really much stronger than my five Indias, the long history has come all the way, and you should also know that our five Indias, the Buddha's light, is covered with dust, and today, it is gradually withering and chilling" Master Mingjing's words kept revealing a lot of regret.

Such regretful words have been heard too much since Wang Xuance and others entered the Five Indias. Although he has been following Master Xuanzang for a long time, he does not have a high understanding of Buddhism, so he is powerless to deal with this debate and the theoretical suppression of Buddhism by Brahmanism. Although he is also quite sad about the current experience of Buddhism in India, he also knows that the defeat of this theory cannot be changed overnight, unless there is another master Xuanzang who is proficient in Buddhism, or a great monk who has attained enlightenment, everything is not optimistic.

"Along the way, I've heard more or less about these things; Nevertheless, the master must not be discouraged, and on the basis of training the next generation of monks, he should think more and support more, so that he can continue to carry forward the Dharma. Wang Xuance also said to him seriously.

Before I knew it, I walked to the meditation hall of this Venerable Jiexian. The layout of this meditation hall is not much different from that of ten years ago. The only difference is that there is an Ashoka Hall in this meditation hall. This Ashoka Pagoda enshrines some relics left behind after the death of the Venerable Venerable Priest.

I only heard this Master Mingjing say: "After the Master passed away, I cremated him in accordance with Master's previous will, and then I got these 7,749 colorful relics, the largest of which was the size of a soybean and the smallest was like a sesame seed. ”

Under the leadership of Venerable Mingjing, Wang Xuance took the lead in observing the relics of Venerable Jiexian enshrined in the Ashoka Pagoda, and saw that this relic was as described by Venerable Mingjing, which made people happy. When Wang Xuance took a closer look, many relics were shining with a faint light under the background of the lights. It seems to be telling about welcoming the visit of the deceased, and it seems to be thanking the deceased for being able to remember this old monk.

Wang Xuance carefully picked up the three incense sticks on top of several cases, lit the butter lamp next to him, bowed respectfully three times, and then inserted the incense into the incense burner in front of the Ashoka Pagoda. Then he knelt on the yellow futon in front of the Ashoka Pagoda with joy, and after praying with his hands together, he said in front of everyone: "Master, even if my old friend comes to see you this time, he will report to you the changes in the Tang Dynasty and Wutianzhu over the years. Since Master Xuanzang returned to the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism has been deeply loved by my majesty, so Buddhism has gradually spread among the royal family and princes and ministers of the Tang Dynasty. Since you gave me the Buddha's tooth relics ten years ago, I have brought this supreme treasure back to Datang safely, and now it is safely enshrined in the stupa of my Daxing Palace, bless the peace and auspiciousness of my Datang people with the light of the Buddha, and bless the prosperity of my Datang royal family, all of which are the credit of you, Master. In the past ten years since the opening of the Tang Fan Road, exchanges between the two countries have also increased, not only promoting trade exchanges, but also driving the exchange of visits between monks from the two countries. Pray that the spirit of the Master in heaven can bless the people of the two countries with peace and health! ”

This is the first time that Wang Xuance has told the current situation of these two countries in front of everyone since he entered these five Indias, and sincerely prayed for the old people who had done it. Although the previous sincere salute was nothing more than to bless the peace of the country and the people of Datang, and the wind and rain were smooth, all this seemed calm and cordial. He not only regards Master Jiexian as his relatives and confidants, but also for this piece of sincerity and gratitude...... So, this visit to Nalanda Temple, paying homage to the Buddha, and condolences to the Venerable Venerable Priest came to an end with all the people paying their respects.
