Chapter 905: Like a wise man sees the moon in the water
The Vimala Sutra of "contemplating sentient beings" is a method of expanding from this meditation to a greater reality, not a theory.
Now look at Vimo's answer.
Vimala said: For example, if the illusionist sees the illusory person, the bodhisattva audience is born as such.
Like a wise man seeing the moon in the water, like seeing its face in a mirror, like a hot flame, like a cry, like a cloud in the air, like water foam, like a bubble on water, like a plantain, like electricity for a long time.
These are the metaphors that the Buddha often used for the phenomenal world, and there is the so-called "ten parables" in Buddhism, which are used here. 《
The Vimala Sutra is written fluently, and we often read it that way.
The realm of literature falls on the love of sentient beings, and when a cultivator sees good poetry and songs, he should not be deceived by it, but should read it with wisdom.
On the contrary, it is necessary to study the knowledge of wisdom such as wisdom, but to look at it with emotion.
This is where the ingenuity of all academic achievements lies.
Now the method of metaphor used by Vimal monks is analogy, not true.
But this analogy is true, because it is the state of meditation, and this impression is really reached, and your concentration is enough.
He said, for example, "the illusionist sees the illusionary person", and the illusionist is a trickster.
The illusionist is in this mood when he sees the illusion.
In terms of meditation, no matter what method you use, counting breaths, reciting Buddhas, and visualizing, at this point, the realm of scene by scene will come out, even looking at your own body.
At this point, you should not forget that "for example, the illusionist sees the illusionary person", which is not true.
If you think it's true, you're deceived and you're enchanted.
Is it false? It's not fake, and the fantasy is real.
This one needs to be like this, it needs to be liberated.
Bodhisattvas contemplate all sentient beings, and even their own bodies and minds, starting from the four thoughts.
These four thoughts are the foundation of the Mahayana foundation and cannot be shaken.
Let's say it again: "Thinking about the body is impure, thinking about suffering is suffering, thinking about the impermanence of the mind, and thinking about the Dharma without self." ”
To see that one's body and mind are really like an illusion is to observe the right view.
"If a wise man sees the moon in the water", here we should pay attention to the word "wise man".
Seeing the moon in the water is one of the 84,000 methods of the Buddha.
The patriarchs of Zen Buddhism often talked about walking down the path in the waterside forest, and the Chinese Buddhist painting Guanyin Bodhisattva meditating on the South China Sea is a view of water or the moon in the water, which is a real practice.
However, it is necessary to be guided by the master who has practiced this method, otherwise it is easy to enter the illusionary realm.
Looking at the moon by the water or the sea, it is easy to forget the body, forget me, forget everything, as if the moon in the water is one with my body and mind.
After the contemplation was successful, he left the scene of the Water Moon, and his consciousness was still in the Water Moon realm at any time, and his state of mind was extremely pure and cool, and he was immediately liberated.
But be careful: for example, if the illusionist sees the illusionary "realm", don't think that he has succeeded, then many delusional realms will come immediately.
The more books you read, the more you fantasize, such as Wang Yangming's poem:
The danger is not stuck in the heart, why the clouds float through space? .
The night is quiet and the sea is 30,000 miles, and the moon is shining and the wind is blowing.
Wang Yangming was persecuted by the traitor Liu Jin at that time and wanted to hunt him down. He was studying Zen in the Tendai sect at the time, and he fled to a place to hide, deliberately leaving a pair of shoes at the water's edge, and his pursuers thought he had thrown himself into the water.
At this time, his heart was calm, and he looked down on life and death, and the grandeur of this poem was great.
Flying tin is an allusion to the wise master, the master arrived at Tiantai Mountain, between the two mountains, threw the tin staff, and flew over by the tin staff.
You see, all of you are listening to it with bright eyes, and in the realm of receiving this poem, if you cultivate and meditate like this, you will already be a demonic obstacle!
What is the obstacle? The magic of words has risen.
You said that you didn't have delusions, but your realm is a demonic barrier.
So it's not easy to meditate.
Although you don't have the desire for men and women, and you don't seek fame and fortune, the word demon is also a demon, so it hinders you.
The water moon view and so on mentioned here are all dreamy views, and they are real kung fu.
