Chapter 45: The Worried Führer

Until now, Hitler did not dare to spread the news that this man had betrayed him and was an enemy of himself, because he was very afraid of the powerful influence of this god in the people and the army, and if he concealed this news, he could still use this influence to his advantage.

If the soldiers and the common people knew that even the German god, his most trusted comrades-in-arms and partners had begun to oppose him, what kind of impact this would have on the German Army or in Germany, and what kind of damage would be caused to his authority in Germany and even in the world, Hitler would not dare to think about it.

Those hidden enemies will surely take the opportunity to jump out and slander themselves, and then he will have no power to stop them from doing so, and in fact he finds that even now he does not have that power. According to Heydrich's secret report, all the judicial and violent institutions in Germany are now under the control of Reinhardt's henchmen, and without the help of these institutions, he cannot even arrest an ordinary citizen.

The departments that were still in his hands could be counted on one hand, and he wasn't sure if they would continue to be loyal after knowing the real situation. His comrades-in-arms were now more and more unreliable, and Hitler did not know that there were still a few of them who were loyal to him, and he did not want to take any more risks, knowing that the arrows shot from behind in the present situation were the deadliest. So he didn't contact his comrades after leaving his headquarters, knowing that one of them would have to contact Reinhardt and reveal his position. Hitler was well aware of the apostle's usual ruthless methods, and there was nothing in his memory that the conspirator could not do, and he did not want any accident before he could return fire.

Now that the SS of the National Socialist Workers' Party of Germany had been divided, it was divided into the Waffen-SS, which was being thoroughly army-oriented, and the ordinary SS, which was not even a discerning force compared to it. Unfortunately, Hitler now has not only the weaker side, but not all of it, and he has only a small part of it. Most of the SS were now completely reluctant to accept Heydrich's command because of that damned Himmler. But even if the SS was all in his own hands, it would not make much difference, and in the eyes of that man's army and waffen-SS, they were inferior to even kindergarten children. They can exert some power other than against the unarmed mob or the lowly Jews, and they have basically no combat power to speak of. If they were to engage in an armed conflict with these two violent groups, it would be a one-sided massacre if anyone could have guessed the outcome, and the Army would have dreamed of fighting the SS.

What makes Hitler even more sad is that one of his most admired and trusted comrades-in-arms, Goebbels may have betrayed him, and now the German public opinion organs are all trying their best to praise that person, and now German radio broadcasts recordings of that person's speeches and articles touting that person's merits all day long, while the press releases that glorify himself and those recordings of his speeches that he used to broadcast every day cannot even find a shadow, if these are not helped and approved by Goebbels, Hitler will not believe it.

This series of blows caused Hitler to lose most of his self-confidence. Fearing the terrible consequences he had predicted, he tried so hard to cover it up, that he now did not know who else he could trust and who could be trusted by him, and in this matter he had clearly overestimated Reinhardt's influence among the German rank-and-file soldiers and civilians.

What puzzled him was that his opponents were using the same tricks, and they were desperately trying to cover it up, as if they didn't want the soldiers to know about it. This may be the so-called chivalry, the stupid aristocracy, Hitler could only use this explanation to answer his own confusion.

Hitler had already made up his mind to find a way to destroy this apostle of God. In fact, he had other plans to conceal the news. He was ready to inherit that man's influence among the German soldiers after that man's death, without those soldiers knowing the truth. He will use this influence to start a revolution, and then trample the generals and marshals who have betrayed him under his feet.

This was one of the reasons why he was reluctant to let others know that he was fighting against the Führer, otherwise the soldiers would be the first to doubt him after the man was killed, and Hitler was not sure whether the German soldiers and officers would continue to support him at that time.

He ordered Heydrich to get rid of that person as soon as possible, and everything must be carried out without knowing it, the most important thing is that that person must be completely eliminated from the **, no matter what means can be used, the scene can be faked as Britain, France, Poland, as long as it is not Germany, any assassination operation by any hostile national force.

The intelligence the other day said that Reinhardt was wounded in Poland, and both Hitler and Heydrich thought that it was a very good opportunity, and that should be when that person was at his weakest. Hitler gave orders to Heydrich, he didn't instruct in any details, he knew Heydrich's abilities, he should know how to do it. Heydrich did understand what he meant, and he reported to Hitler that everything was going according to plan, that his men were close to the goal, and that they believed that the results could be obtained within two days.

When he heard the news, Hitler's mood suddenly improved, and he didn't close his eyes all night that day. But two days later Heydrich came back to report that the situation had suddenly changed, that he had lost contact with his men, and that hell heydrich would make it fly away if he cooked it, and Hitler could not believe that Heydrich could be stupid like that. What's more, according to Heydrich's subsequent report, it is clear that he was tricked by the apostle, and after taking in a group of the best agents, he now did not even know the exact location of that person, and almost blew Hitler out of his veins at that time.

Yesterday Heydrich reported that the man had suddenly appeared in Kiel and was swaggering towards Berlin, saying that he was going to Berlin to treat his wounds, but in fact he may have wanted to blatantly seize the capital. This report gave Hitler a bit of a headache, and he was not worried about what tricks that person would be able to do in Germany, after all, the main force of the German Army was still in France, and without the strong support of the army, he should not have carried out such a blatant coup d'état, and the reason for this person's trip to Berlin was more likely to contact his henchmen in Berlin.

He was worried that his assassination plan might be ruined because of this, and he couldn't openly kill this German god of war in front of everyone. Now that he was acting under the watchful eye of all the German people, and everywhere he went, it was impossible to assassinate him in such a situation, let alone the plans to blame the hostile nations.

Hitler was suddenly caught in a dilemma, and he thought of simply going back to Germany and arresting that person in front of everyone, believing that no one would dare to disobey his orders in front of everyone. He still has a group of SS and professional agents in his hands, and he should be able to solve this problem easily, and by that time, the man's army and Waffen-SS will not be able to save him. But then the idea was rejected by Hitler himself, who did not know what charge he should have to arrest him, a man who was a hero of Germany in every sense of the word, and no one would be satisfied with the arrest of him on the charge of betraying himself. What's more, he can't even come up with any substantial evidence of that person's betrayal of him now. Although you never need any evidence to arrest a betrayer, this person is different, and if there is no evidence that the person actually rebelled against himself and betrayed Germany, then there will be a large-scale mutiny, and the final loser will definitely be himself. Probably, before their own SS could shoot the man, the German Army artillery had already blown the Chancellery into a pile of rubble.

And according to the report, the man's guard is a little less, although it may be that the man thought he was safe in Germany and did not bring many soldiers, but the disappearance of the group of senior officers who had been inseparable from that person cannot but make people suspicious. Hitler felt that there must be an article in this, and it was very likely that this was a trap specifically aimed at himself, and if he returned to Germany stupidly, he might not even know how he died, and he would be solved by that guy. Hitler dispelled his idea, whether it was true or not, that kind of stupid thing that he would never do to send himself to his death.

In the end, Hitler decided to go to the front to explore the ideas of the army ranks, although it was a bit risky, but the risk was definitely worth taking, and if he found that the army soldiers still supported him as before, then the rest of the matter would be easier. As long as he finds an opportunity to kill that person, he can take revenge on those in the officer corps with these troops who support him, and then he is ready to personally command the German ** team to attack the French, and defeat France completely, followed by England, and then he will be the greatest national hero in German history, and then no one will dare to oppose him, because then he is Germany, and against him is against all Germans.

But today, the report he had just sent from his subordinates had completely disrupted his plans. Hitler was now furious, and he felt that he had been fooled by this damned apostle again. That man, now he has appeared again in France. Not only appeared, but also appeared with illustrious feats. The fact that he captured an Englishman heavy cruiser with a submarine is a miracle unique in the military history of the world, and no one has ever done such a feat with such a thing since the invention of the submarine. He didn't know how the man had done it, but he knew that the stupid Englishmen had once again added a dazzling aura to the man.

Hitler knew that his plan would now be more difficult to implement, and that the soldiers would worship the man even more because of it. Hitler angrily smashed a vase and scolded the intelligence staff officer who had brought the report, and threw the poor man out of his office.

Hitler now spun back and forth like a restless lion in a cage. He tried to calm himself down, and although this information caught him off guard, it was also an opportunity to realize his plan, at least he could know the true whereabouts of the man from the news. Hitler walked over to the map of France hanging on the wall, and he looked at it carefully.

Suddenly, as if Hitler had discovered something, his eyes stopped at a place on the map. Hitler's face began to slowly recover, his frowning brow gradually relaxed, and a plan began to slowly emerge in his mind. Hitler hurried to the table, picked up a random pen from the table, and walked back to the map and began to draw on it.

"Guards!"

Hitler shouted.

The two SS members standing outside the door hurriedly opened the door and walked in.

"Long live the Führer!" The two SS men saluted Hitler, and then stood with their submachine guns in their hands and waited for the Führer's orders.

"Clean up this pile immediately." Hitler said, pointing to the broken pieces of porcelain all over the floor.

"Yes, my Führer." The two guards hurriedly picked up the wastepaper basket and broom in the corner of the house and worked hard to sweep up the debris on the ground.

"I knew it was so." Schulz whispered to Raffin as he picked up the large fragments.

"But it's strange, you don't find it, the Führer seems to have suddenly changed his mood, and you look at the look in front of him, as if he has changed a person." Raffin whispered as well.

"Don't worry so much, of course he will be in a good mood if he breaks such a valuable vase, let's hurry up and get out, the changing of the guard is about to begin." Schulz replied in a low voice.

The two SS men were indeed well trained, and they cleaned up the debris as quickly as they could, and then they shouted a report to Hitler and walked out of the office with the wastebasket in hand.

Hitler didn't even look up at them, he was writing his plan of action on a piece of paper that he had dedicated to writing. A plan for the apostle, and if his plan succeeds, then he will regain what he has lost, and the apostle will be completely gone from this world.

Hitler smiled smugly as he wrote.
