Chapter 865: Seventy-four Grades
"The method of cultivating immeasurable qualities is for the bodhisattva." To be willing to practice the Dharma of the immeasurable qualities is not just the 37 qualities.
When we study Buddhism, we have not achieved any of the 37 qualities, but we must truly achieve the Dharma of the 37 qualities, which is called the bodhisattva realm, the Mahayana dharma.
What is called Dharma music is just a very simple idea.
Now, the Vimala Sutra records that Vimala lay people have only listed a small part of the Dharma music, not all of them.
The whole is the 12 parts of the Three Tibets, Hinayana and Mahayana, the Buddha Path, the Outer Path, the Demon Path, and so on, and all the practices are transformed into the realm of Bodhi, which is called the Dharma Music of the Bodhisattva Path.
To summarize this paragraph, Vimo lay people are saying that the demon realm is greedy for the pleasures of the five desires in the world, and he advises them to give up and change to the Dharma music of the world.
"So Bo Xun told the women: I want to return to the heavenly palace with you." At this point, the demon king Bo Shun said to the witches, "We can go back." ”
Attention, everyone! Heaven and man are still demons, and the demons in Buddhism are not bad, and those who are greedy for physical and mental pleasure are demons.
Therefore, there are feelings that are love demons, love demons, and greater desire demons, these three things are the great demons in the world.
The realm of heaven and man is the devil, and the heaven and man in the six desires are all in the realm of demons.
Aren't we? We too, we are demons, and we grind each other.
"The ladies said: With us and this layman, there is Dharma music, and we are very happy, and we will no longer be happy." Meaning: The witch said, I'm sorry, but now we have attained the realm of Dharma Bliss, together with Vimal monks, and we don't want the happiness of the five desires in the world.
"Devil's word! Layman! But this woman, all that is given to the other is for the Bodhisattva. ”
When the demon king saw that his 12,000 celestial maidens were coaxed away by Vimo alone, he asked Vimo to do a good job and give up the celestial maiden. He also said that only those who can give everything to others are called bodhisattvas. How do you possess these dependents of mine?
Vimala said: I have given up! and thou shalt go. Vimal said, "I didn't cling to them, I would have given alms!" Take it back with you! ”
"So that all sentient beings can have the Dharma and their wishes." This sentence is the bodhisattva realm, and those who learn the bodhisattva path should be able to satisfy the reasonable desires of all sentient beings.
So a group of witches asked Vimal monks: We have followed the demon king back, how will we practice the bodhisattva path in the realm of demons in the future?
Be careful! This means that no matter if we are a monk at home, we are still in the realm of desire in this world, we have to eat when we are hungry, we have to wear when we are cold, we have to take medicine when we are sick, everything is in the realm of demons.
How do people practice in the realm of demons?
If you don't cultivate in the realm of demons, it's not called cultivation.
Vimala said: Sisters! There is a Dharma name Endless Lamp, and you should learn.
"Those who have endless lamps, such as a lamp that burns a hundred thousand lamps, the underworld is bright, and the light is endless." Vimal replied, "There is a method called the Endless Lamp, and you have to learn it." ”
What is an endless lamp? For example, a lamp, a candle, can light thousands of candles, and 11,000 candles can be lit.
As long as it is lit, the light will never end. This truth is the Endless Lamp.
Vimo continued, "Ladies and gentlemen, go back, and practice the Fa in the Demon Palace, which is to cultivate the Endless Lamp Method. ”
This principle has two meanings: the first meaning is that the real Dharma does not have to be born in this world, and that leaving a little light of the seed of the Dharma in this world will have a greater impact.
The so-called one lamp can light up tens of millions of lights, and "the heart lamp is endless" is this truth.
The second meaning is to do kung fu within, as long as we understand in our own hearts that even in the realm of demons is a good dojo, and this world of suffering is the Western Elysium.
Where else to find a pure dojo? Here it is.
Therefore, one lamp can ignite millions of lamps, as long as a little spiritual light is not ambiguous, there are dojos everywhere, and the magic palace is just right to practice.
You can't practice where you don't have demons, and you can't practice where you don't have demons, because you don't need to practice, right?
If there is no demon, how can you practice?
For example, when husband and wife get along, they are each other's demons, and being able to endure here, be empty, and realize is the way of cultivation.
All members of the family are demons together, you grind him, he grinds you.
There are good demons, everyone dear to each other, this devil is invisible.
The bad devil is noisy every day, until the quarrel dies.
Cultivating in the Demon Palace is the Mahayana path, and being able to fight in magic is an achievement.
When a cultivator passes through a layer of demonic obstacles, he skips a layer of Taoism.
As the saying goes, the road is one foot high, and the magic is one foot high.
If you can jump more than a foot, it's even better.
Therefore, cultivation is not about running to the temple or to the mountains, and whoever grinds you in the mountains is what kind of cultivation is it?
I have made offerings to young monks who want to go to caves for retreat, but I tell them that if you can't fix it, you can go down the mountain for three years and then do something with me.
He meditated for three years, and after doing things with me for a day, he collapsed, and he couldn't stand it.
Especially me, a big demon, scolds him every day for being so wrong and that is wrong.
He was respectfully worshiped on the mountain, and when he got here, he couldn't stand being scolded by the teacher, and if you can't pass this demon realm, you don't want to cultivate.
This passage of the Vimala Sutra tells you that being able to endure demons is the way.
Especially those of you who have just found the Demon Realm, pay more attention! A pair made by the ancients:
can be tempered by the sky, a real iron man
Not to be jealous is to be mediocre
