Chapter 1023: When Will the Aroma of Rice Disappear (Part II)

It's very difficult to start your heart, and Mahayana says that your heart is not for you to go to your heart to build a temple, build a tower, and donate ten times of money. The motivation is the motivation, the bodhicitta mind. Bodhicitta is liberation of the mind, an epiphany in a thought, a bodhisattva of the mind, and a bodhisattva of the first intention in terms of doctrine.

The first intention of the Bodhisattva is to open his heart, but he still needs to cultivate!

Don't you need to cultivate after an epiphany?

No. True motivation is a clear mind, and it will definitely initiate great compassion at the same time, and it is self-sacrificing and benefiting others everywhere to be a person and do things, even any small action.

Where can ordinary students of Buddhism have great compassion? It's just a mouthful.

Those who study Buddhism should be self-reflective, and sometimes they are more selfish than those who do not study Buddhism, which is contrary to compassion. So it's not easy to really develop compassion, and you can't develop it unless you see emptiness.

I have a Taoist friend who has studied Buddhism for decades and has now passed away, and he told me, "I can't get out of my mind, how can I get started?" I said to him, you are right, and you are good at asking, but you don't ask me, it's up to you.

This person speaks higher than anyone else, and does more good deeds than anyone else, but he can ask this question, which proves that he is a true practitioner, and he does not think that doing good deeds is motivated.

Therefore, the difficulty of starting the heart is indescribable.

Don't think that you have studied Buddhism, occasionally doing a little kindness is the heart, that is the steamed bun is almost the same.

The Vimala Sutra says that the Mahayana Bodhisattva who has not yet had a heart can only digest this meal if he really has a heart.

The bodhisattvas who have already set their hearts and seen emptiness and become enlightened, and when they reach the eighth immovable ground, they have attained the lifeless dharma and forbearance, and then this meal is digested. Lifeless forbearance is immortal, the past, present and future are unattainable, and they are all cut off.

If it is a bodhisattva with more than eight places, he has reached the realm of lifeless forbearance, and after eating this meal, he will not digest this meal until he reaches the realm of making up for the place in his life.

What is Lifetime Remeddy? For example, Maitreya Bodhisattva, after this life, will come to be the leader of the next life.

Where is Maitreya now? It's not very high, he is in the center of the Heaven of Desire, and he is called Tushitian as God, and he enjoys it more than us.

The enjoyment of our world, there is there, better than ours.

In the outer courtyard of Tushitian, there are celestial people who enjoy the pleasures of heaven and man. The inner courtyard of Tushitian is a large meditation hall, and Maitreya Bodhisattva presided over the meditation hall in the inner courtyard, and many of the great bodhisattvas were reborn in him.

For example, the author of "The Land of the Yogis", Asanga, every night after entering the world of meditation, went up to the inner courtyard of Tushitian, listened to the teachings of Maitreya, and then came back and wrote down what he heard, and compiled it into the "Treatise on the Land of the Yogis".

Therefore, many people (such as Master Taixu in modern times and Master Cihang in Taiwan) have made a vow that after death, they will not be reborn in the Western Elysium or other places, but will be reborn in the inner courtyard of Tushi and follow Maitreya Bodhisattva next time, so that they will definitely attain enlightenment.

For example, there is an immortal medicine in the world, and when someone eats this medicine, all the poison in the body is gone, all the pain is cured, and the medicinal power subsides.

The same is true of this rice, which can destroy all the poison of afflictions, and then the rice is digested.

This rice is so versatile, it's a pity that we can't eat it. But the rice we eat every day can also get sick, and what kind of disease can we go?

Go hungry and sick, and if you eat, you won't be hungry.

Of course, rice becomes the body's nutrition, and then its function passes, for the same reason. The Taoists of the Central Plains also say that there is a kind of Tianyuan Dan; It is Ren Yuan Dan who is engaged in refining and refining qi and refining qi and transforming gods in the body; Relying on medicine to refine is Diyuan Dan.

Tian Yuan Dan is very rare, it comes from the world above. Taoists believe that eating Tianyuan Dan can become an immortal, which is equivalent to the rice of the Buddha country mentioned in the "Vimala Sutra".

There is also this practice in Buddhism, and it's a big secret, and if you go to Tibet and Mongolia to ask for it, it's gone. If you ask me if I know, I won't tell you if I know, because it is "not what you intended, not what you measure", and it is useless for you to try to measure it with the consciousness of ordinary people, and to measure it with the mind of ordinary people. Because this is not something that can be attained by a small root or a small meritorious person.
