Vice: Oda Nobuhide
Oda Nobuhide (1510 ~ April 8, 1551) was a Japanese military commander during the Warring States period and the father of Oda Nobunaga.
In 1510, he was born as the eldest son of Oda Nobunasari, the de facto ruler of southwestern Owari and the lord of Katsuhata Castle.
In 1527, Nobutai passed the position of household governor to Nobuhide.
In 1538, Oda Nobuhide captured Nakono Castle.
In 1542, in the First Battle of Shodozaka, the Oda army defeated the Imagawa army and secured its interests in Nishimikawa.
In 1547, Oda Nobuhide, together with Asakura Takakei and Tsuchizaki Yorisumi, led an army to attack Mino.
In 1549, Oda Nobuhide made peace with the Saito family by forming a strategic marriage between his son Oda Nobunaga and Saito Michizo's daughter Nohime.
On March 3, 1551, an epidemic broke out in Suemori Castle, where Nobuhide was the castle at the time, and Nobuhide himself fell ill and died at the age of 41. (There is a saying that Nobu-su died of a stroke while drinking)
Oda Nobuhide has fought countless beautiful battles in true history, and is known as the Tiger of Owari. As a leader, he valued business and was both ambitious and courageous, and although this man had more than 20 wives and was romantic, he decided to let Oda Nobunaga inherit the power before his death, which can be said to be far-sighted.
As an author, I still admire Oda Nobuhide in comparison. After all, he was similar to Goujian, the king of Yue, and tried his courage to seize the ancient wild city. So letting him die in the war should be considered a good destination.
