Chapter Mino talks

Profile.

Michizo Saito: Michizo Saito was born in 1494, the daimyo of Mino, during the Warring States period of Japan, and was collectively known as the "Three Heroes of the Warring States Period" by later generations, along with Hojo Sakumo and Matsunaga Shu. His real name is Kankuro.

In his early years, he was a merchant who sold oil, and in 1538 he changed his name to Saito Hideryu after inheriting the Saito clan of Mino Guardian of the Lost Heir. In 1542, Saito Michizo drove out the Toki family governor Toki Yorii and became the lord of Mino.

In the constant battle with Oda Nobuhide of Owari Province, he married his daughter Nohime, Saito Guidie, to Oda Nobunaga, and the two parties temporarily allied. At that time, when he married his daughter, he gave Guidie a short knife, saying that if Nobunaga was the kind of real fool, he could stab him with this knife, but Guidie said that maybe the knife might stab his father. This is an anecdote and cannot be confirmed.

In 1553, he met Nobunaga at Shotokuji Temple.

In 1556, due to the feud between Saito Michizo and Saito Yoshiryu, the two sides went to war at the Nagara River, and Saito Michizo was killed in battle before reinforcements from the Oda family arrived.

Akechi Mitsuhide: Akechi Mitsuhide was born in 1528 and was a famous Japanese warring states. Oda Nobunaga was an important general, and his full name was Akechi Shibei Mitsuhide.

Born in Mino, legend has it that he is Guidie's cousin.

In 1582, Akechi Mitsuhide rebelled, issued a statement that "the enemy is in Honnoji", and sent troops to Honnoji Temple, which is known as the Honnoji Change.

Takenaka Hanbei: Date of birth unknown, following the position of Saito Road Sanshi military division, worshipping Zhuge Liang of the Three Kingdoms, also has a goose feather fan of the same style.

The Battle of Inabayama Castle in February 1561 was one of his major and famous battles.

Once Toyotomi Hideyoshi also staged three visits to the thatched house to invite him to Oda Nobunaga, but he chose Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

Event.

Meeting at Shotokuji Temple: Two years after Nobuhide's death in 1553, Michizo Saito wanted to capture Owari, but before that he had to meet with Oda Nobunaga.

At that time, Nobunaga led his troops to Shotokuji Temple.

On the road, Saito saw Oda Nobunaga's hair tied with straw, his left arm exposed, various fragments hanging around his waist, and short culottes made of tiger and leopard skin. He was dressed as a bandit, so he ordered Nobunaga to arrest him if he saw him in this way.

However, when Nobunaga appeared in front of him, Nobunaga's hair was neatly combed, and he was dressed in a neat brown gown, with a respectful and dignified attitude.

In fact, another point is that Nobunaga carried nearly 100 musketeers and all of them were loaded, probably because this Saito Michizo was a little afraid of Nobunaga.

The two did not know the content of the meeting, but the result was that the two sides signed an alliance, drank the alliance wine, and after Nobunaga said goodbye and left, Dozo said to his henchmen: Woohoo! My son is only worthy of being a slave to the boss!

Since then, the history of Japan's Warring States period has been rewritten by a meeting between these two people.
