Compared to parachuting and dropping supplies, gliders have several advantages:

First of all, the parachute drop was blown away by strong winds during the landing, causing it to fall outside the target area, making it impossible for the Germans to obtain supplies.

But there are gliders airborne...... Although it needs to be towed by a transport plane, it can be unhooked from a distance of more than ten kilometers and transported back to base, while the glider continues to "fly" towards the target.

Since it has no power on its own, it flies in the air without noise.

Therefore, the Germans often chose to carry out airborne landings before dawn, so that the Soviets could not detect the existence of gliders at all, and of course there was no interception at all.
