Chapter 1 Perpetual Generators

Next Chapter

Ai Tingnan, 28 years old, an employee of an unknown power company in SH City, is a workaholic.

There are many kinds of people in the world, some work, some don't, some like to work, and some don't like to work.

There is a kind of unique but ordinary, for work, you can work for three days without eating or drinking, not just for overtime pay, but also for the so-called dream.

Anyone who knows Ai Tingnan knows that Ai Tingnan often has a sentence on his lips: "If you can't work and struggle for your dreams, then what's the point of living?" If there was a choice to die, I would be willing to die at work!! ”

So, Ai Tingnan crossed.

They came to a barren land, with no buildings and asphalt roads, no cars and airplanes, no street lights and public toilets, some just endless forests, some just thatched houses connected together, and some just backward but simple peasants.

This is the third day of Ai Tingnan's crossing, and he has been idle for two days, lying in the bedroom with ventilation on all sides, watching the sunlight from the roof, a little bored.

Ahh!!!hhhhh I really want to go to work! Ai Tingnan shouted inwardly.

"Ding! The transition electromagnetic wave tracking signal is detected, and the power system is turned on! ”

"Installing ......"

"Installed!"

"Congratulations to the host, get an adaptive perpetual motion generator!"

……

"What's the situation?" Ai Tingnan was startled, and then focused his consciousness on a square machine in his mind.

"Item: Adaptive Perpetual Motion Generator (Ten Jacks)

Item Characteristics: Able to power up to ten units of any electrical device without consuming any resources

Item Rating: Five Stars"

"Holy, perpetual motion generator?!" Ai Tingnan was stunned when he saw the introduction.

Theoretically, a perpetual motion machine cannot exist, because the fundamental law of the world, the law of conservation of energy, the first law of thermodynamics, means that the total energy in a closed (isolated) system remains constant. Generally speaking, the total energy is no longer just the sum of kinetic energy and potential energy, but the total amount of rest energy (intrinsic energy), kinetic energy, and potential energy.

The law of conservation of energy can be expressed as follows: The total energy of a system can only change by the amount of energy transferred to or from the system. The total energy is the sum of the mechanical energy, thermal energy, and any form of internal energy other than thermal energy of the system.

If a system is in an isolated environment, it is not possible for energy or mass to pass in or out of the system. In this case, the law of conservation of energy is expressed as: "The total energy of an isolated system remains constant."

Energy is neither created nor disappeared out of thin air, it simply transforms from one form to another, or from one object to another, while the total amount of energy remains the same. The law of conservation of energy is one of the universal fundamental laws of nature.

It's a high school physics thing.

Looking at the machine in his mind, Ai Tingnan was a little skeptical, after all, since 1775, the French Academy of Sciences announced that "all designs related to perpetual motion machines will no longer be reviewed in the future by the undergraduate college", and before Ai Tingnan crossed, countless examples of the invention of perpetual motion machines have been proved to be scams, and the real perpetual motion machine is impossible.

There are two types of perpetual motion machines in history: the first type: machines that do not need power, which can continuously do work on the outside world, so that they can create huge wealth out of nothing. However, in the history of science, there has never been a perpetual motion machine successfully, and the discovery of the law of conservation of energy has made people realize that any machine can only transform the form of energy existence, but cannot produce energy. Therefore, a perpetual motion machine cannot be manufactured at all. It violates the first law of thermodynamics: the increase in the internal energy of an object is equal to the sum of the heat absorbed by the object from the outside world and the work done by the object on the outside world.

The second category: absorb heat from high-temperature heat storage (such as boiler) and use it all to do work, and do not discharge heat to low-temperature heat storage. Isn't it possible to achieve 100% efficiency in this way? And such machines do not violate the laws of conservation of energy, but apparently none of them succeeded. People call this kind of perpetual motion machine that only absorbs heat from a single heat reservoir and does work uninterruptedly at the same time as the second type of perpetual motion machine. This kind of perpetual motion machine cannot be made because the conversion of mechanical energy and internal energy is directional: mechanical energy can be converted into internal energy, but internal energy cannot be fully converted into mechanical energy. This is an unexpected gain from the study of perpetual motion machines.

There is a famous person in the history of perpetual motion machines, Sventai (late 16th century - early 17th century), in his time, there is a kind of perpetual motion machine that is widely talked about, 14 very heavy iron balls that can be rolled are chained together and placed on a triangular prism. One side of the triangular prism is more oblique and the other side is steeper, and the oblique side is longer than the steep side. The makers of the perpetual motion machine believe that there are 4 heavy iron balls on the oblique side and only two heavy iron balls on the steep side, and the sliding force of the 4 iron balls is naturally greater than that of the two iron balls, and the whole device will slide down in a counterclockwise direction. Once the left side slides down a heavy ball, the right side must be supplemented with a heavy ball at the same time, the left inclined plane is still 4 heavy balls, the right inclined plane is still only two heavy balls, the left side of the slide force is greater than the right side of the slide force, the ball chain will continue to move forever.

When the Dutch scientist Staven studied this kind of perpetual motion machine, he judged from experience that it could not be perpetually moving, because although there are many balls on the left, the inclined plane is slow, and the downward pull force produced by each ball is small, and the right ball is small, but the inclined plane is steep, and the downward pull force generated by each ball is large, and the downward pull force on both sides is the same. At this point, Stawin did not stop thinking, and he took the problem a step further: since the number of balls is proportional to the length of the inclined plane, and each ball weighs the same, the total weight of the balls on each side must also be proportional to the length of the inclined plane.

This is the well-known law of the balance of forces on two inclined planes.

Therefore, although scientists have made many attempts, the possibility of perpetual motion machines being manufactured, it cannot be said that there is no possibility, but to create a perpetual motion machine, it is first necessary to prove that the law of conservation of energy is wrong, at least one-sided, so this difficulty can be imagined.

"That, the system?" Ai Tingnan asked in his mind, he wanted to ask the system about the principle of this perpetual motion machine.

But no one answered......

It doesn't seem to be an intelligent system! Ai Tingnan thought.

"Ding~ Novice guide begins!"

Ai Tingnan: "......"

"Step 1: Receiving the machine, which will randomly teleport the machine to the host's consciousness space every month; Step 2: The host can purchase machine goods through the system store; The third step is the achievement system, which rewards the host for creating value every year; Step 4: Extract the machine, select enough space in the real world, shout it + the name of the machine, and you can project the machine from the consciousness space to reality, and you can vote for one per week; Step 5: You can draw a free lottery once a week, and there is no limit to the level of prizes. ”

"The novice guide is complete, and the host is left to explore the rest of the functions by himself."

"Ding~ The machine was delivered in the first month, please check!"
