Volume 1 Chapter 73: Compilation of Teaching Materials

Yin Qingfeng said before that he would write two enlightenment textbooks, which is wrong. "Zhu Zizhi's Maxims" is one, but the "Zengguang Xianwen" he wants to write is a bit ahead of its time.

Compared with these two books, the "Three Character Classic" can only let children recognize words, as for the truth of life, it is better to "Zhu Zizhi's Aphorisms".

"Zhu Zi's Maxims" is also called "Zhu Zi's Family Motto", this Zhu Zi is not Zhu Xi, but Zhu Yongchun, a person in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.

This book is an enlightenment textbook based on family morality, and many of the contents in the book inherit the excellent characteristics of traditional Chinese culture, such as respect for teachers, diligence and thrift, and harmony between neighbors. However, the prejudice against women, superstitious retribution, etc. have been removed by Yin Qingfeng.

"Zengguang Xianwen" is also known as "Ancient and Modern Xianwen", its content brings together all kinds of proverbs for people and things, very philosophical, and all aspects of Confucianism's thoughts are reflected.

However, this understanding of human nature is based on the premise of Xunzi's "human nature is inherently evil", which is contrary to Mencius's theory that human nature is inherently good. This book has a cold insight into social life and family affection polluted by money, such as "no one cares about the poor and troubled in the world, and the rich have distant relatives in the mountains".

Friendship is just a lie, such as "There are many brothers with wine and meat, how can I see one person in an emergency".

Respect and humility are determined by money, such as "do not believe but look at the wine in the feast, and respect the rich first in the cup".

Law and justice are manipulated by money, such as "the yamen is open, and no money can come in if there is no reason".

Human nature is distorted by interests, such as "there are straight trees in the mountains, but there are no straight people in the world".

Sophistication leads to unpredictable people's hearts, such as "it is difficult to draw the skin of a tiger and draw bones, and you don't know your heart when you know people's faces".

It is difficult to argue between good and evil, such as "I am not afraid of hurting people and tigers when I enter the mountains, but I am afraid of the two-sided knife of human affection".

"Enlargement" highly summarizes the dark phenomena in many aspects of society and displays them coldly.

These contents will definitely make those students who are not familiar with the world have negative thoughts, and the person who reads this book, if he does not have a mature three views, his thinking will definitely be deviated. So after Yin Qingfeng finished writing this book, he was ready to put it on the shelf.

After the "Zhuzi Family Motto" was written, of course, the original name could not be used, and after thinking about it, Yin Qingfeng named it "Yin's Family Motto".

In Yin Qingfeng's planning, the ancient Chinese textbooks of Wutong School are finally implemented:

During kindergarten, students have to learn "Di Zi Gui", "Three Character Classic", "Kindergarten Qionglin", "Fairy Tales" and "Mythological Stories".

In primary school, it is part of "Thousand Character Text", "Yin's Family Motto", and then "Xunzi", "Han Feizi", and "Mozi", which involve logic, military science, engineering, mechanics, geometry, optics, etc., which will be scattered in mathematics, natural knowledge and other courses, "Idiom Allusions", "Fable Story Collection", and "Guanzi".

Confucian classics such as the Analects of the Pre-Qin period were taught at the secondary school level. As for Dong Zhongshu's celestial induction, let him go to hell.

Although Xunzi is also a representative of Confucianism, he is a simple materialist.

In terms of the relationship between heaven and man, Xunzi opposed the superstitious theory of the mandate of heaven and ghosts and gods, and affirmed that "heaven is constant, not for Yao, not for ruin", that is, the law of natural operation is not transferred by people's consciousness.

He advocated "knowing the distinction between heaven and man", believed that heaven has a "vocation" and man has a "division of man", and put forward the idea of "making the destiny of heaven and using it" and "making it at the right time".

It not only explains the irresistibility of the law, but also emphasizes that people's subjective initiative should be brought into play. Therefore, compared with other Four Books and Five Classics, Yin Qingfeng prefers the content in "Xunzi".

Yin Qingfeng has been surveying the content of ancient books before and now, that is, to distinguish between idealism and materialism.

Yin Qingfeng's thinking is very clear: first use "Fairy Tales" and "Mythological Stories" to open children's curiosity, and then carry out materialist education to establish a world view and other three views.

The purpose of studying the Confucian classics in middle school is to enrich their knowledge, and even if there are some one-sided contents, children can distinguish them clearly, which is better than talking about them at the time of enlightenment.

In addition to the textbooks to be determined, Yin Qingfeng also decided to start teaching pinyin and punctuation at the beginning of the lesson. These two things are ahead of his time, and he is not afraid of causing any bad consequences.

Even if there are Li Shimin's secret spies among these teachers, Yin Qingfeng has nothing to worry about. In the eyes of outsiders, the future Wutong School belongs to family studies, clan studies, and is completely private in nature, no matter how many tricks he makes, except for Li Shimin and Li Yuan, others have no right to talk more.

When Yin Qingfeng first came to the villa, he didn't expect to establish such a large-scale school so quickly. And because he was busy with teaching before, his teaching materials were not well prepared.

Now that he has time to arrange freely, the first thing he needs to do is to sort out the arithmetic textbook again.

The previous textbook was obtained by Yin Qingfeng from recalling the content of his school days. Now he has books in his study, such as "Fixation", "Island Arithmetic", "Nine Chapters of Arithmetic Notes", "Nine Chapters of Overlapping Diagrams", "Mozi" and other books, and he plans to try to sort out the mathematics textbooks that he has been able to learn from middle school in the next time.

There are many achievements in mathematics in ancient China that are worthy of the pride of later generations, but there is no systematic natural science.

One of the reasons is that the ancients upheld the supremacy of pragmatism. Whether it is the "Book of Ink", "Zhou Ji Sutra", etc., they all record specific and practical examples rather than one mathematical theory system after another.

The main achievement recorded in the Nine Chapters of Arithmetic --- the decimal system. However, the hexadecimal system was not only used in the Tang Dynasty, but also in the Republic of China.

What does this mean? It shows that the sixteen-digit system did not cause problems to the lives of people at that time, and if it did, someone would naturally find a way to solve it.

The Pythagorean theorem and the Pythagorean theorem in the Nine Chapters of Arithmetic appeared almost at the same time, why can the Pythagorean theorem be circulated and recognized? This is because the Pythagorean theorem is an example and there is no further deference to relevant mathematical theories, that is, it is not systematic.

Our ancients only had a lot of knowledge points, but they did not perfect it into a systematic theory, and of course they could not form a perfect science.

Reason 2: In terms of natural science, the ancients have always maintained the view of emphasizing observation over reasoning. This is because Confucianism in ancient times is an important manifestation of the main body.

According to the plan, after the math is sorted out, the easiest thing to sort out is "Natural Knowledge".

The content of natural common sense, there is no need to read the classics, as long as Yin Qingfeng can sit down and recall and summarize his previous memories.

In the course of "Geography", Yin Qingfeng only talks about mountains, rivers, administrative divisions, etc., as for the surface, mantle, ocean currents, monsoons, etc., Yin Qingfeng plans to wait for a certain day to build a university.

The most troublesome is "History". Not only do you need to read a lot of history books, but you also need to find out the authenticity.

In order to beautify the authorities and belittle the emperors and figures of the previous dynasties, the ancients habitually distorted historical facts. As if they did not belittle their predecessors, it would be illegal for them to replace the previous dynasty.

The ancients couldn't figure out what the reason for the change of dynasties was, and most people simply believed that the king's immorality was the reason for the fall of the previous dynasty. Of course, Yin Qingfeng didn't plan to bring it up when he was in middle school, so he would wait until he built a university.

In Yin Qingfeng's timetable, basic physics and chemistry textbooks, agricultural textbooks, medical textbooks, and law textbooks should be sorted out within two years at the latest....

In his vision, the four years of secondary school are taught in the form of vocational and technical schools. After all, what he is doing here is an assembly-line education, not an elite education. The one or two thousand people who graduate every year have no hope in the face of the imperial examination, so it is better to learn some knowledge and skills to support their families as early as possible.

With the competence of the existing teachers, there is no problem in completing the primary school curriculum. However, by the time it comes to secondary school, it is estimated that few teachers will be able to meet the requirements except for Chinese classes.

For this problem, Yin Qingfeng can't solve it for the time being. If you really can't do it, you can only ask Li Shimin for help.
