Serve as the emperor and take on morality
Meet and work together
A new dynasty and a new atmosphere.
In view of the characteristics of the emperor Zhao Kuo, who is studious and obedient. Zhao Ruyu suddenly equipped the emperor with five teachers: Peng Zishou, the servant of the Ministry of Officials, turned out to be the direct lecture of the Jiawang Mansion; The Ministry of Rites, Shangshu Huang Shang, is also the Jiawang Mansion Yishan; Duanming Palace, the military department, the Privy Council; Chen Junliang, a member of the Chinese Scholars; There is also Zhu Xi to be made in Huanzhang Pavilion, all of whom are Hongru who is rich and rich, and loyal and virtuous ministers. He has reason to believe that with these few people who take turns to teach the emperor and serve as advisers as think tanks, the emperor's cultural level and ruling ability will be greatly improved. At the same time, the atmosphere of the imperial court will also be greatly improved.
Unfortunately, the plan did not change quickly, and some of them collapsed before their wings were spread.
First of all, the Duanming Palace, the secretary of the military department, and the secretary of the Privy Council sent Jin back to the court, and suddenly suffered a stroke, and three days later drove the crane west.
Then, before Huang Shang, the secretary of the Ministry of Rites, took office to speak, his back sores recurred, and soon he died.
One after the other, in three days, he lost two important ministers, and both of them were in their forties, and the government and the opposition were sad; When the emperor heard the news, he couldn't stop crying in the Jinluan Palace.
Zhao Ruyu was so busy that he hurriedly sent someone to urge Zhu Xi to arrive quickly.
How is this old master Zhu now? At the end of Shaoxi's fourth year, the imperial court appointed him as the pacification envoy of Jinghu South Road and the governor of Tanzhou, and gave him a purple chapter uniform. After receiving the imperial decree, he was lecturing at the Kaoting Academy in Jianyang and writing the "Essentials of Mencius", but he resigned on the grounds of old age and infirmity, but the court did not allow it. He had to take office, and in May of the following year, he went to Tanzhou, Hunan. Just in time for the Gelao people to fight with the local government for hunting in the mountains. As soon as Zhu Xi arrived, he clarified the situation, reduced taxes, and appeased, and the incident was calmed down. Then the Yuelu Academy was rebuilt, and the Flying Tiger Army was invited to be subordinate to the moderation of this road. Seeing that everything was calm, he did his old job again, lecturing and teaching apprentices, and researching the "Etiquette of Interpretation".
In July, the new emperor ascended the throne and summoned him to go to the line to perform work, but he still wrote to resign. In August, in addition to the Huanzhang Pavilion and the Son of Heaven's servant, he wrote to resign, but the court did not allow it, and he resigned the next day.
When Zhao Ruyu learned about it, he couldn't cry or laugh. This old master, for decades, has been promoting science, looking forward to the way of king. Don't you know that now is not a good time to be a king?
Time is like an arrow, and in an instant, the young man's head has turned white. He couldn't help but think of some past events with Zhu Xi.
In the fourteenth year of Chunxi (1187), Zhu Xi resigned from the dispatch of Jiangxi to raise the sentence and hurriedly came to Fuzhou to visit Zhao Ruyu of Zhizhou, but unexpectedly, Zhao had been transferred to Sichuan. Zhu Xi had no choice but to lead four students to climb the drum mountain to pay homage to the abbot of the temple. The abbot of this Yuan heir is a monk who has attained the Tao, when Zhao Ruyu was in Fuzhou, he often participated in Buddhism and Zen with him, and after serving as the host, he built the Lincang Pavilion.
Zhu Xi and his entourage, accompanied by the abbot, climbed the Lincang Pavilion, looked into the distance, and saw the inscription poem when Zhao Ruyu was about to leave office. Seeing things and thinking about people, I was full of emotion, so I left a chic and elegant text.
Chunxi Ding Wei, Hui Weng came to pay homage to the heir of Gushan Mountain, You Lingyuan, and then ascended the Shuiyun Pavilion (that is, Lincang Pavilion), there are Huaixi Chuanzi Zhishilang, fellow travelers, Qingzhang Prince He, county people Chen Fuzhong, Pan Qianzhi, Huang Zifang, and Seng Duanyou.
After that, the abbot of the Yuan Hei asked someone to engrave this passage on the rock wall on the east side of the Guanyin Pavilion in Lingyuan Cave.
Four years later, Zhao Ruyu came to Fujian to serve again, and when he climbed Drum Mountain again, he saw Zhu Xi's words, remembered Zhu Xi in the distance, and the deceased Yuan Hei Zen Master, and couldn't help but think like a surge, mixed with joy and sorrow, and inscribed a poem:
After a few years of running and getting tired of dust, this day is also coming soon.
Jiang Yue does not go with the flowing water, and the wind sends the waves directly.
The old man is so affectionate, and the Zen guest has been gray.
It's a sigh that life is like this, and the danger is even more wandering.
Very interesting, two years later, Zhu Xi climbed the Drum Mountain again, saw Zhao Ruyu's inscription poem, looked at the sea of clouds in the distance, heard the bursts of pine waves, excerpted from Zhao's poem "Heavenly Wind and Sea Waves" four words, engraved on the cliff at the top of the Drum Mountain.
Zhao Ruyu loves plum blossoms, and everywhere he goes, he always loves to plant plum trees. Next to Jinxi Temple in Yugan County, there is a plum garden. Whenever the cold winter season, red plum and plum blossom compete to bloom, fragrant and fragrant. Zhu Xi visited, and Zhao Ruyu enjoyed the plum blossoms with him, and he forgot to return. Zhao Ruyu wrote a poem as a gift:
There are plum blossoms in Jinxi, and the love of life is insufficient.
The old man loves me like a plum, and comes to stay alone in the cold window.
The vulgar He Zuyun saw the peach and plum drunk red dress.
When they meet in the evening of the year, they are like jade.
Zhu Xi finally came, the 65-year-old old master had white hair, except for some unfavorable legs and feet, his face was ruddy and full of energy. After eight years of separation, Zhao and Zhu shook hands again and gathered in the court.
That night, Zhao Ruyu held a banquet in the mansion to pick up the wind for this giant Confucian who was also a teacher and friend. After the meal, take a walk in the back garden.
Master, you can put "man is the law of the earth, the earth is the law of the sky, the heaven is the law of the Tao, and the Tao is the law of nature." Tell me what it means.
These four sentences are not only the rules of being a person and doing things, but also the rules of cultivating the truth and preaching the Tao, the secret words that are not easy for thousands of years, and the essence of Lao Tzu's thoughts. The so-called "Fa" means to imitate and learn. How to law the earth, the heavens, the way, and nature? From ancient times to the present, how many people have expounded and explained, but they stand from different angles, and their understanding is also different.
You see that the way of heaven is vast and boundless, and it does not move, giving to the world without seeking retribution, and growing all things without seeking to take. Three lights always shine, four times in order. The law of heaven and virtue, the Xuanhuang embrace, the yin and yang. The way of heaven and law, the Tao is formless and nameless, silent and odorless, and the most virtual and wonderful. All things in heaven, earth, people and people are born and nurtured by the Great Dao, so the Great Dao is the mother of all things in heaven and earth. If the heavens are illegal, yin and yang cannot rise and fall, and changes cannot be sensed. Therefore, establish the nature of all things and restore the life of all things.
The power of the Tao is endless, endless, born and born, and the ghosts, gods, emperors, and saints are all differentiated by the natural functions of the Tao.
I understand what the Master meant, that we must imitate all things in heaven and earth in our conduct and in all things, because it is quiet and soft, carrying everything selflessly and without complaint, and nurturing all things without merit; Embrace all things, apply sunshine and rain without asking for anything in return.
That's what it means, but it's hard to do.
Speaking of the current situation, Zhao Ruyu said frankly that when the new emperor takes office, everything needs to be done. If it is a personal plan, it should be insisted on avoiding it, but the country and the dynasty are accumulating more and more evil, and it is urgent to reform the old and make the new. With such a vast imperial grace, how can he take care of himself, only by being sluggish can he repay the emperor's kindness.
After Zhu Xi heard this, he said slowly: Zizhizhi, Hui'an has always known it, today's dynasty, virtuous ministers are in power, and upright people are abundant, but it is also a good time to make contributions and learn from things. We should fulfill the way of courtiers, serve the officials, follow the jade chariot, and lead to peace and prosperity together.
At this time, the moonlight was like water, the heaven and the earth were elegant, looking at the moon like jade in the sky, Zhao Ruyu suddenly realized:
When you are surrounded by people you trust and cherish, and they cherish you equally, whether your situation is smooth or difficult, you are happy and rich.
