Chapter 320: The Four Supreme Gods of the Mountains and Seas!
According to the "Classic of Mountains and Seas", the Queen Mother of the West originally lived on the Jade Mountain 350 miles west of the Kunlun Mountain, and the jade victory she wore on her head was probably a sacred relic from the Jade Mountain.
But in fact, the Queen Mother of the West is also in charge of Kunlun Mountain, the first prosperous shop in the Chinese mythological world.
As we all know, Kunlun Mountain and Penglai Immortal Island are the two birthplaces of Chinese myths and legends, from this point of view, if the Yellow Emperor occupies the people, then the Queen Mother of the West occupies the geographical advantage!
And the most important thing is that although the Queen Mother of the West is in charge of the calamity and punishment epidemic, she holds the anti-heaven elixir of immortality in her hands after all, and she naturally has great authority.
Since ancient times, why has the status of successive mountain and sea adjudication envoys been so high?
In addition to the ability of the Ruling to be immune to all the alien demons in the Mountains and Seas, one of the most crucial reasons is the Judgment Order.
If you enter, you can live forever.
The road of life and death is the only eternal pursuit since the birth of mankind.
It is completely reasonable for Mo Xiaochuan to list the Queen Mother of the West as one of the four supreme gods.
And this last one, Di Jun, is more interesting.
First of all, the record of Emperor Jun only exists in the book "Classic of Mountains and Seas", but his fame is so prominent that few people can match it, and even regard it as the first god of the East!
Emperor Jun was the god of the East, but his descendants founded their kingdoms in the east, south, west, and north, the most famous of which was called Yin Shang.
If in ancient times, Shao Hao was a person who could compete with Yan and Huang Emperors, then Di Jun was really the supreme god who could compete with Yan and Huang Emperors, and even surpassed them!
"The Classic of Mountains and Seas: The Great Wilderness South Classic" contains: "Overseas in the southeast, between sweet waters, there is the country of Xihe. There is a woman's name Xihe, and Fang Yu is in Ganyuan. Xihe, the wife of Emperor Jun, was born for ten days. ”
This passage is very easy to understand, telling the story of the sun god Xihe when the heavens and the earth first opened, she was the wife of Dijun and gave birth to ten suns for Dijun.
Later, during the period of Emperor Yao, Xihe officials were set up, which were specially responsible for observing the sun stone carvings in various places, formulating calendars, and standardizing the four times, which obviously borrowed the name of Xihe, the sun god.
"The Classic of Mountains and Seas: The Great Wilderness of the West" contains: "There is a woman bathing in the moon. The emperor's wife Chang Xi, born two out of ten months, this is the beginning of the bath. ”
The structure of this passage is similar to the above, telling the story of another wife of Di Jun, the moon god Chang Xi, who gave birth to twelve moons for Di Jun.
It is worth noting that this legendary model of Xihe and Changxi was actually adopted by Taoism later.
According to Taoist legends, at the time of the ancestral tribulation of the Dragon and Han Dynasty, Mrs. Ziguang, the wife of King Zhou Yuwang, gave birth to nine children, that is, the Big Dipper Seven Stars and Fu and Bi Erxing, collectively known as the Nine Emperors of the Big Dipper, and Mrs. Ziguang became one of the Taoist gods of Dou Mu Yuanjun.
It can be seen that this story mode is exactly the same as the legends about Xihe and Changxi in the "Classic of Mountains and Seas".
But in any case, these two short passages actually tell a very shocking thing.
That is, the sun and the moon are all the children of Emperor Jun!
This kind of merit can almost be counted as the level of the creator god!
It's just a pity that after the Yellow Emperor entered the Central Plains, he launched a protracted war with Emperor Yan and Emperor Jun, and finally ended with the victory of the Yellow Emperor.
After the "Jiuli Chaode", it not only includes the Dijun tribe, but also the Yandi tribe.
After the great-grandson of the Yellow Emperor drove away Emperor Yan and defeated Shao Hao, in order to rule the clan members of the original two tribes, he took tough measures to abolish the ancestor gods Yan Emperor and Emperor Jun that these clans originally worshipped, and transformed them into the Shaodian tribe, so as to completely change the polytheistic situation of "lady for enjoyment" and establish the Yellow Emperor as the only ancestor.
This is the true meaning of "Jedi Skypass".
Since then, the people of the Dijun line have had to migrate in large numbers, to the south, west, and north, thus forming a situation in which this eastern clan is scattered in all directions.
Shao Hao, on the other hand, took some of his clans to the West and was revered as the Jin Tian Clan, the god of the West.
Yes, Shao Hao is a descendant of the Dijun clan.
Why does the name of Emperor Jun only exist in the ancient legend of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas", and it will not be seen in later generations?
For Mo Xiaochuan, what really divides and gradually dies the myth of Emperor Jun is the great political and historical power that comes from civilized society.
In order to make the myth conform to the needs of politics, in order to construct the lineage of the Yellow Emperor that is conducive to the rule of the Chinese nation, and in order to find a basis for the great unified society from a historical perspective, the lineage of the Yellow Emperor cannot be established without eliminating the myth of Emperor Jun.
Therefore, later generations of Confucian scholars and historians tried their best to use two major reconstruction techniques, the makeover method and the branch and leaf transplantation method, to erase Di Jun's name from the divine spectrum, and Di Jun was expelled from the altar in this way.
So Emperor Jun's two wives, Xihe and Changxi, turned into "the Yellow Emperor made Xihe occupy the sun, and Chang Yi occupied the moon". Thus became the two ministers in charge of the calendar under the Yellow Emperor.
So Houyi, who was sent by Emperor Jun to eliminate harm for the people and pacify Anbang, went to "Huainanzi", and it became "Yao Shi, ten days together". Yao Mingyi removed the harmful shooting sun, transferred the virtue of loving the people to Yao, and also cut the myth of Dayi from the mythological system of Dijun.
So Emperor Jun's third wife, Emperor E, also entered Shun's bedroom......
Of course, there is also a very important historical fact as an interlude.
It was the fall of the Yin Shang Dynasty.
Li Shizhen had told Mo Xiaochuan before that King Wu's attack was actually a massacre launched by Jiang Ziya due to the mandate of heaven against the mountains and seas.
Why?
In order to erase the last existence of Di Jun.
Where does Destiny come from?
It's definitely not Dijun anyway.
It was a well-planned conspiracy that lasted for thousands of years.
But the "Classic of Mountains and Seas" has been handed down.
The people of the mountains and seas have survived to this day.
Therefore, the name of Emperor Jun is still there!
Therefore, Mo Xiaochuan listed it as one of the four supreme gods of the mountains and seas!
But the problem is that if everything is really as Ying Zhao said, the Queen Mother of the West was killed by Di Jun, then Mo Xiaochuan's cognition has been very seriously challenged.
First of all, one question we need to know is, how did Dijun die?
Is it related to Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang?
In fact, it doesn't matter.
The prelude to Di Jun's death is Hou Yi's shooting of the sun.
And the real reason is due to the rebellion of the Ten Witches of Lingshan.
From a certain point of view, it is also related to danger.
Because they intended to murder the daughter of Emperor Jun.
Does Dijun have a daughter?
Of course there is.
In addition to the twelve moons, Di Jun also has two daughters.
One of them is none other than the Queen Mother of the West!
