Chapter 63: Qi Yuan heard
In the Folding Willow Pavilion, the sad Zhao Jie clasped his knees with his hands and sat on the ground alone. I don't know how long it took, but when the tears dried up, Zhao Jie stood up resolutely, looking resolute. This is Zhao Jie, a man who is only allowed to grieve in his limited time.
Zhao Jie walked out of the Zheliu Pavilion and happened to meet Huang Haoyao on the way back to Yongcheng.
"Young man, why don't you say goodbye this morning?" As soon as Huang Haoyao saw Zhao Jie, he couldn't wait to ask.
When Zhao Jie heard this, he repeatedly accused: "I apologize for my son." Because of a little personal matter, I forgot about the child's please. ”
"As an atonement, Childe will go to Shenyi with us! We are responsible for your safety, and we will definitely send you to Shenyi safely! Zhao Jie continued.
"Thank you, please." Huang Haoyao thanked him.
In this way, after Yongcheng replenished food and water, Zhao Jie and Huang Haoyao merged together and continued on the road. Three days later, Zhao Jie and his entourage walked into a large city with a radius of 10,000 miles - Lacquer Garden.
Qiyuan, formerly known as Qiyi, is located in the north of the Chu State. Originally belonging to the Song State, now belonging to the Chu State, the place is famous for the hometown of Zhuangzi, the former head of Taoism.
Zhuangzi, surnamed Zhuang Zhou, the word Xiu, he founded Zhuangxue, inherited and developed Lao Tzu's thoughts, and became a representative of the Taoist school. He put forward the idea of "inner saint and outer king", which is most respected by princes and scholars all over the world. "Zhuangzi Tianxia" contains: "It is the way of the inner and outer kings who are dark and unknown, depressed but not released, and the people of the world do what they want, and take themselves as their own side." The so-called "inner sage" is mainly from the perspective of people's inner spiritual and moral cultivation, while the "outer king" is from the perspective of people's social functions. The inner sage and the outer king require people to move from the "inside" to the "outside", and the existence of human beings should not be exclusively indulged in the depths of their own hearts, seeking inner peace and happiness, but should be firmly present in the society and earnestly assume social responsibilities. Later generations of people will develop it into "self-cultivation and Qi family rule the country and level the world" nine words, which tells people to serve others, serve the society and serve the country after learning.
In terms of philosophical concepts, Zhuangzi inherited and developed Laozi's thought, believing that "Tao" is an objective and true existence, and regarding "Tao" as the origin of all things in the universe. He advocated that all things and me, right and wrong, life and death, and noble and low, fantasized about a spiritual realm of "heaven and earth coexist with me, and all things are one with me". He opposes "artificiality", and the ideal society is the so-called "world of virtue"; Opposing the Confucian concept of hierarchy, believing that the Tao is in all things and all things are equal. He believed that people must be able to live in the world with great poise, and the wandering thought derived from it is an important part of Zhuangzi's thought. Later generations have praised it: Zhuang Zhou lives and dies lightly, and the vast reaches are incomparable.
Historical records: King Chu Wei heard that his talent was very high, so he sent an envoy with a generous gift and invited him to be the prime minister. Shi Zhuangzi fished in Pushui.
The envoy of Chu said: "I am willing to accumulate in the territory!" ”
Zhuangzi ignored the rod and said: "I heard that there is a turtle in Chu, and it has been dead for 3,000 years, and the king hides it in the temple with a scarf." This turtle would rather die than keep the bones? Would you rather be born and drag your tail in Tuzhonghu? ”
The Chu envoy replied: "Ning was born and dragged the tail in the middle." ”
Zhuangzi said: "Go! I will drag the tail in the paint. ”
In this story, Zhuangzi's madman style is fully displayed, so the world is called "the madman of the lacquer garden".
After Zhuangzi's death, his disciples settled in the Qiyuan Garden, built a school, and passed on Zhuang's learning. Later, with the spread and development of Zhuangxue, countless people came to visit. Gradually, there were more and more residents of Qiyuan, so Qiyuan changed from a small town to a large city with a population of 30,000 or 40,000 people.
As the base camp for the dissemination of Zhuangxue, Qiyuan has a very strong academic atmosphere. Scholars who study Taoist doctrine can be seen everywhere on the street, inns and hotels on both sides of the road or famous Xiaoyao Inn, or famous health wine, and the houses on both sides of the road are from time to time to hear the crisp sound of children reciting the famous chapters of Zhuangzi, everything is marked with a deep imprint of Zhuangzi, it is no exaggeration to say that Qiyuan is a Zhuangzi city.
For Zhuangzi, Zhao Jie is still particularly respected. During the days when he was studying in Handan, Zhao Jie also read all the books of Zhuang Xue. Among all the thoughts of Zhuangzi, what Zhao Jie admired the most and resonated with Zhao Jie the most was his exposition of the inner sage and the outer king. However, Zhao Jie had a negative attitude towards his view of being self-controlled, serving all things, and being quiet and inactive, and Zhao Jie could not accept this idea that almost only hermits have, after all, he came through to achieve something meritorious.
Zhao Jie and his entourage walked slowly in the city of Zhuangzi, deeply feeling the breath of Zhuangzi. The biggest feeling of this city for Zhao Jie is that it is relaxed and comfortable, the pace of life of the people is not fast, and it can even be said to be very slow, so slow that Zhao Jie has never seen or experienced it in his previous life or in this life. Everything in the city gave Zhao Jie a feeling that he had never experienced before, and gave Zhao Jie the idea of living in seclusion when he was old.
"Hey, little brother, what are you thinking?" Huang Haoyao's voice woke up Zhao Jie, who was about to be drunk.
"Don't you want to live here in seclusion all the time! To tell you the truth, I had this idea when I first came here. Huang Haoyao smiled and said to Zhao Jie: "This place is really a good place!" ”
Zhao Jie nodded in agreement when he heard this, and then asked: "Gongzi has been here before, he should be very familiar with this place, and I want to ask: What is a good place to visit here?" ”
"It's hard to say it's familiar, but I've heard that the most famous place here is the place where Zhuangzi dreams of butterflies - Qiyuan Dream Butterfly Terrace. How about you and I go and play together? Huang Haoyao smiled and sent an invitation to Zhao Jie.
"Just what I want." Zhao Jie responded. Then the two said goodbye to the group, left the team, and went to Mengdietai together.
"Zhuangzi and the Theory of Things" contains: In the past, Zhuang Zhoumeng was a butterfly, a lifelike butterfly, and he was self-proclaimed and aspiring, but he didn't know Zhou. Oh Ran Jue, then Yu Ran Zhou also. I don't know that Zhou's dream is a butterfly, and a butterfly's dream is Zhou's? Zhou and butterflies must be separated. This is called materialization. A short narrative of less than 100 words permeates the essence of Zhuangzi's poetic philosophy, showing Zhuangzi's philosophical thought: it is impossible for people to accurately distinguish between reality and illusion and the materialization of life and death. This contains romantic thoughts and emotions and rich philosophical reflections on life, which has resonated with many scholars. So the disciples of Zhuangzi built the Dream Butterfly Platform for the purpose of thinking alone and lecturing.
The Dream Butterfly Platform stood on a flat ground outside, and Zhao Jie and Huang Hao owed it very coincidentally, at this time, there was a great Taoist master lecturing on the Dream Butterfly Platform. Seven or eight hundred people in the audience listened carefully to the grandmaster's theoretical explanation in the bitter cold wind, and no one showed a painful look on their faces. Seeing this scene, a thought appeared in Zhao Jie's mind: "Could it be that this is the legendary Chaowen Dao Xi Ke die." These people are too hard! ”
"Sit down and listen!" Huang Haoyao, who came with Zhao Jie, pulled Zhao Jie's sleeve and said softly.
Zhao Jie turned his head and saw that Huang Haoyao was already sitting on the ground, so Zhao Jie had to sit down. The so-called great master on the stage was talking about the thoughts of Zhuangzi's inner sage and outer king, and Zhao Jie, who came halfway, listened to it for a while and completely devoted himself to it.
"The saint has the virtue of heaven, so he is called the one who is the only Yao, and the only Yao is the way of the heavens. Swinging, invisible and nameless...... Therefore, it is natural, the Tao is the same as nature, not selfish sons but kings and ministers, the murderer punishes himself, the good man merit himself, the success does not establish his reputation, the punishment is added but not allowed to be punished, and the people use it every day without knowing why it is......"
The grandmaster on the stage did not stop until the sun set, Zhao Jie listened to all his explanations in person, and after the lecture, Zhao Jie deeply felt that his realm had risen to a higher level. Back in the inn, Zhao Jie wrote his thoughts in his diary: "Inner sage, that is, to increase one's knowledge, talent and other inner personal qualities, is roughly equivalent to the moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor of later generations." The foreign king, that is, for the benefit of the society, made meritorious contributions, assisted the king, benefited the people, and left a name in history. The inner saint and the outer king complement each other, and one is indispensable, without the inner saint, there can be no outer king, and without the outer king, the inner saint is meaningless. The inner sage and the outer king are beneficial to the king, the people, and themselves, which is an extremely correct methodology. ”
Early the next morning, Zhao Jie, who had only slept for two hours, got up early, and he was eager to find the grandmaster and then ask him for advice. However, it backfired, although yesterday's lecture raised his spiritual level, it also lowered his physical physique by a level. The cold wind caused him to suffer from severe wind chill, and Zhao Jie, who had been in high spirits, did not realize that he was sick at all. After drinking a bowl of porridge, he dragged his sick body out of the inn, but he didn't go far before he fainted. Fortunately, Xu Yang and others found him sick in time and hurriedly found a doctor to treat him, otherwise they don't know what would have happened. Zhao Jie had been ill for three or four days, and when he woke up, the Grandmaster had already left the Qi Garden.
After Zhao Jie stayed in the paint garden to rest for three or four days, his body gradually recovered. So they set out on the road again and headed for Shenyi. Not meeting the great grandmaster and not knowing the name of the grandmaster made Zhao Jie feel a little pity, but Zhao Jie had gained a lot from listening to the lecture for half a day, so Zhao Jie's mood when he left the lacquer garden was generally good.
"Shenyi, I'm here." Zhao Jie, who was riding on the horse, shouted loudly, and Zhao Jie, who had just recovered from a serious illness, showed a long-lost perseverance and smile on his face. The carriage creaked and squeaked as it headed south, eventually disappearing from view.
At the same time, in Shenyi City, Zhao Ying and others, who were separated from Zhao Jie and others in Qi State, were waiting for his arrival.
