Don't forget the national shame: 918!!

Memories have never faded, history still resonates, and only by not forgetting the memory of history can we better defend justice.

It is a history of tragic and humiliating suffering, and it is also a tragic epic of awakening and rising. On September 18, 1931, the Japanese militarists deliberately created and launched a war of aggression against China, which opened the prelude to the world anti-fascist war.

national shame, painful from the bottom of my heart;

Fight, share the same hatred.

The sons and daughters of the Chinese nation were full of enthusiasm for "marching forward with one heart and braving the enemy's artillery fire" and "40,000 people worked together" and "swore to die rather than be slaves to the country," waged an arduous struggle against the Japanese invaders for 14 years, and finally won China's first complete victory against foreign invasion in modern times.

These historical memories we must never forget.

Although "918" is long gone, all the compatriots who died during the Japanese imperialist invasion of China deserve our eternal mourning.

All the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives and the people who contributed to it in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression deserve our eternal remembrance;

The indomitable struggle of the Chinese people against aggression deserves to be remembered forever.

We do not forget our memory, not to perpetuate hatred, but to remember history and defend justice, and to remind people all over the world to jointly avoid the recurrence of historical tragedies and better safeguard world peace.

"War originates in the minds of men, and it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be built." This phrase, engraved on the stele in front of the UNESCO Headquarters building, reminds people that in order to defend justice and prevent war, we must first completely eliminate the "ideological scourge" that started it.

What is shocking, however, is that for some time now, Japan, as the initiator of the war of aggression in those years, has repeatedly committed "amnesia" on historical issues by some political organizations and political figures: from the textbook incident to the issue of visiting the Yasukuni Shrine, from denying the Nanjing Massacre to covering up the crimes of comfort women, from advocating the undecided conclusion of war responsibility to denying the Tokyo Trial...... How can the Japanese right-wing forces' actions of deviating from international justice not be alarming?

Historian Popper once said: "(History) those forgotten countless personal lives, their sorrows, their sufferings and deaths, these are the real content of human experience through the ages......" The fall of the years has long covered the relics of war, and the tide of development has washed the wounds of history little by little, but if history is forgotten in the rush of traffic and neon flashes, it means that tradition and civilization are separated.

Only by keeping the memory and not forgetting the history and not forgetting the pain can the "past" of history truly become a "teacher of the future" and a progressive force for defending justice.

Don't forget memory, you can't do without the carrier of history.

The actions of tens of millions of people who spontaneously remember history are telling the world and reminding future generations that the Chinese people, who yearn for justice and move toward rejuvenation, cannot and will not forget those painful memories of the past.

"A strong man saves the sky, and the commander of the clean armor does not need it." The "918 Incident" has brought us a bloody enlightenment: a consolidated national defense is the shield of national survival; A strong military is the foundation of national security.

The fate of a country and a nation is closely related to the strength of the armed forces.

To prevent the tragedy of history from repeating itself, it is necessary to build a people's army that obeys the party's command, is capable of winning battles, and has a fine work style. As far as the officers and men of the whole army are concerned, keeping in mind their sacred duties, sharpening their golden iron horses, not waiting for others in training, and seeking to win the battle and bend the bow, this is the best commemoration of "September 18."
