Chapter XXVII

By the time we got back to the Raven and the Golden Vine Inn, it was already dark. The members of the Black Ghost arrive at the tavern, and Felder sits down on a barstool in front of the bartender.

"Owner, three glasses of Solsen. Felder said weakly.

"Four cups. Elena sat down next to her.

"At the beginning, I was just to be a knight, but I didn't expect to join the mercenary group, and I was really tired of running around every day, and I missed the green violin family a little. Felder grumbled as he leaned back in his chair with a tired face.

"Felder, you'll soon be a midshipman, and when you find your uncle, you'll return to the House of the Violin, and Lena won't treat you like a child anymore. Vane winked deliberately at Felder.

"Lena, who is that?" Elena was intrigued.

"It's Felder's old friend. Vane said in a deliberately long voice.

"Don't take his, he's just a maid at the Gus Town bar. Felder quickly denied it.

"Oh, really? I don't know who was babbling to go to the house of the violin. Vane picked up the glass and said unhurriedly.

"It's important for us to ask someone who Germain Wallen is. Felder found something to divert the subject.

"What are you asking Viscount Germain Vallen for?" said the bartender who was wiping his glasses next to him. He was probably in his thirties, his hair was meticulously combed, and his shirt was as white as his teeth.

"We received a mercenary mission from Germaine Valen, whose daughter has gone missing outside the city. Elena explained.

"I've just heard of him. The Valen family was famous for their business in the city of Obojar, and the kingdom gave them the title of viscount. The Valen family had a caravan that traveled around the world, and a number of knights worked for them, and Germain occasionally traveled with the caravan. It is said that he was well-informed and warm-hearted, and it was unfortunate that such a thing happened. The bartender polished the glass and put it back in the wine cabinet.

Early the next morning, Elena and Ace were already drinking strange juice in the tavern on the first floor. Of course, if they hadn't exchanged the wisteria flowers for gold coins, they would still be asleep by now.

"Elena, Eth, morning. Felder greeted as he descended the stairs.

"Poof!" Elena squirted the juice out of her mouth, only to see that Felder was wearing a short black tuxedo, a white shirt with a black bow tie, and the other sword at his waist was a little more abrupt.

"Felder, what are you doing like this?" Elena tried to keep herself from laughing, but Felder was quite suitable for the outfit, and his blonde hair made him particularly attractive. I don't know what Vane will look like in this outfit, but after a brief distraction, Elena put these strange thoughts behind me, and I was thinking about something.

"I borrowed it from the bartender, and am I not going to see the viscount to-day? Felder smiled his trademark smile.

Later, the group found Vane and Simpson in the open space behind the tavern, and Simpson didn't know when he became obsessed with magic, so he insisted on learning magic from Vane. Not doing his job, Felder gave him an evaluation. No talent, that's Vane's assessment.

The Valen family's estate is located a short distance south-east of the city, not far from the Raven Inn. The five of them quickly left the city, and Valen Manor was easy to find, and walked along the main road to the south, and in the distance you could see a castle-like building not far on the right.

Walking along a dirt road that could carry four wagons at once, there was a large amount of farmland on both sides, and some farmers were busy in the fields. A little farther away there is a pond where ducks and geese can be heard from time to time, and the mill and the turning waterwheel are clearly visible.

"The view is really good, it's good to stay here. Felder said, looking at the scenery around him.

"If you're a nobleman, of course it's fine. When I was a child, I lived on a large estate, where many people had no freedom and had to work or farm on the estate. Later, I was reluctant to run out. Simpson said in a low voice, reminiscing about his past life.

As the crowd walked, a group of soldiers appeared on the road ahead, not dressed like Obojar's guards.

"In front is the private domain of the Valen family, which cannot be entered without an invitation. The soldier stopped them with a sharp blade. The soldiers were vigilant, well-equipped, and wore badges on their chests.

Felder took out the Mercenary Guild's task list and handed it to the soldiers.

"You two take them to the Viscount. The officer at the front of the line said to the two soldiers.

As the road widens and widens, the road surface has been paved with fine stones, and blacksmith shops, wineries, and workshops are all around the perimeter. The sound of clanging metal, the sound of shouting cattle, and the sound of people around are endless, just like a large village.

The main building of the manor was already in sight, a three-story castle-like building in the middle of the territory, made of large grayish-white rocks, slightly elevated, surrounded by a stone wall, and a large lawn in the middle. Everyone smacked their tongues secretly, but there were dozens of visible windows, large and small.

The soldier led them to the entrance to the perimeter, explained their intentions to the guards, and left. Soon, a man who looked like a butler with glasses walked out.

"I am Meyer, the steward of the Valen family, and Lord Viscount is already waiting for you in the room, please come with me. Meyer led the way and led the group through the delicate and wide stone path to the main building.

"Tsk, this is the life of a rich man, it's like we run around for a living. Felder said with some jealousy.

"Say less, knight in the dress. Elena glared at him.

The red carpet starts at the doorway and continues to the wide spiral staircase opposite. Everyone followed the butler Meyer all the way to the door of a room on the second floor, and Meyer leaned forward slightly and knocked softly on the door three times.

"Come in. A slightly majestic voice came through the door. Meyer turned the doorknob and made a gesture of please to the crowd, and Vane and the others immediately rushed in.

The room was large, and the crystal luxury chandelier hanging from the roof, the delicate portraits on the walls, and the carpet without any sound on it all made several teenagers unconsciously feel a sense of awe.

"I am Germain Valen, the client of the bounty you have received. The speaker was a middle-aged man in his forties, with a thick but delicately trimmed dark brown beard and piercing eyes.

Viscount Germain invited a few people to sit down at his desk, his eyes resting on them in turn, and a strange expression appeared on his face when he saw Felder. Everyone looked a little restrained, looking at each other and not speaking.

After a pause, Jermain slowly spoke: "I know that you are all excellent warriors of the Mercenary Guild, but this mission is not easy, it can be said that it is full of unknown dangers, and it requires an experienced team of mercenaries to be competent. You haven't officially received the quest in the Mercenary Guild yet, have you?"

The crowd did not speak, and everyone's faces were not good-looking.

"I think we can do it. Felder suddenly stood up and said.
