75. Chapter 31 (1) Upgrading Training
In the evening, the group dragged their swollen legs back to the base, and the base finally calmed down for the time being.
Before getting on the plane, this repeated bouncing on the spot, one step bounce, and countless jumps from a simulated platform more than two meters high are all to exercise the strength of the legs, so that the legs can withstand the impact damage caused by the weight of themselves and their equipment when they land in the parachute.
Not only that, from folding the parachute to completing the final parachute bag, every process must be completed alone, and the harsh attitude and severe reprimand of the trainees seconded from the air force unit are not inferior to the original instructors in the base, and there is almost no one who has not been scolded by them.
This is just one subject in the new training cycle, and there are many other physical trainings.
In the past, it was difficult for them to shoot at a speeding car, and the instructors let them shoot while driving, and once the instructor ordered, no matter how fast the car was and how complicated the geographical environment was, all the team members in the car must quickly jump out of the car, and all the bullets in the magazine must be used up within the specified time, and the hit rate must be 100 percent.
The students have long been accustomed to this kind of inhuman training, with the increase of age, the sense of competition permeates all aspects, no one here wants to be left behind by teammates, this is not only in the competition, but also the yearning and cherishing of honor.
The new training is carried out in an all-weather, all-round, three-dimensional manner. In order to achieve the training objectives of rapid infiltration, rapid assault, and rapid evacuation, the Air Force specially dispatched three helicopters to cooperate with them in training, and the newly purchased motorized speedboats were also in place, and what awaited them was round after round of new challenges.
Xu Jun is the youngest of these helicopter pilots, not a few years older than the trainees at the base, so he mingled with the team members here in a few days, and he was really stunned when he saw the training content of the trainees here.
The arrogant Xu Jun has always regarded himself as a proud son in the army, not to mention, he has always been among the best in various trainings, but compared with the students here, his skills are really nothing, therefore, when there is no training plan, he also took the initiative to join their training team, which is a privilege he got after many requests, but ordered him to obey the instructor's arrangement, once he is found to have violated the instructor's training instructions, his training will be stopped immediately, first, because he has to have a step-by-step process, On the other hand, I am afraid that he will be injured during training, which will affect the normal training progress of the trainees in the base.
Men are very interested in mechanical things, and it is not even more so that these idle activists are even more so, as soon as these helicopters arrive at the base, they are targeted, and within a few days, they are not mixed with Xu Jun as buddies.
Nor is he curious about everything in the cockpit of the plane, Xu Jun is also very envious of their full set of weapons and equipment, and gradually a tacit understanding is slowly formed, nor will he teach Xu Jun some fighting and wilderness survival skills, and Xu Jun will teach him some theoretical knowledge of helicopter mechanics and piloting, but it is only limited to theoretical knowledge.
In order to highlight the fast, accurate, stable and ruthless characteristics of the special forces, and to strengthen the tacit cooperation between the team members in actual combat, the students are often combined into multi-person teams for confrontation training, Xue Ming more strictly stipulates that three people in the eleven-person group, two in the nine-person group, and one person in the seven-person group will be directly judged to lose if they are found or hit, and the other side will win. And it will also affect the mobility and flexibility of the assault team, taking the eleven-man squad as an example, it will lose more than half of its combat effectiveness, therefore, his combat ability will be greatly reduced.
Gradually, this form evolved into a kind of knockout competition, and every other stage, a champion group will be selected, and every time a champion is produced, that is, when these groups have just formed a tacit understanding, and at the same time, their group is broken and regrouped, opening the next round of competition and elimination.
Not far from the lake, a large five-story steel structure built on the mountain is an important part of their training, focusing on the practice of raids, helicopter rappelling, offensive and defensive conversion, directional blasting, etc., which have simulated office space, residences, hospitals, schools and other contents, as well as simulated theaters and shops, and around it there are full-scale railway station platforms, carriages, entire Boeing planes, passenger ferries and other facilities in the lake, all of which are their training grounds.
What is being competed here is not necessarily a strong military quality, and how to grasp the opponent's mind often becomes the key to victory.
The confrontation between teams, from the initial simple attack and defense, gradually evolved to helicopter rappelling raids, roof rappelling raids, layout and cracking mines, air and ground joint assault, etc., every confrontation is a test of the opponent's intelligence, every confrontation, the attacker is more and more difficult, the defender is more and more difficult to defend, even if it is a relatively simple unilateral raid, it is not simple, the instructors racked their brains to set up obstacles, and the students worked hard to resolve them one by one.
High-intensity training, difficult movements, and high-risk attempts bring inevitable injuries. Sprains and contusions have become commonplace, and fractures and injuries are almost commonplace; day and night, many training sessions are completed under the whistling sound of bullets, and in less than two months, three trainees have been injured by live ammunition, but fortunately they are not serious.
But the good times were short-lived, and the most serious accidents were two casualties that occurred almost simultaneously. One occurred in the training base in the south, a trainee in the wilderness survival training, suddenly encountered a storm, was hit by the rocks rolling down from the mountain, and died of injuries, another trainee occurred in the northern training base, in a long-distance training, when climbing a cliff covered with ice and snow, due to the ice broke off, lost his hand and rolled off the cliff, the search team and the local people searched for three days before finding the remains of the dead students in the valley, and the successive accidents made the students and instructors of the two bases in the north and south fall into a trough.
After a few days of adjustment training, Xue Ming gathered everyone together, he didn't say much, just encouraged everyone to face everything in front of them bravely, injuries and even sacrifices in the army's usual training also happen from time to time, and the real war will be much more cruel than this, if you can't face it, then you are not worthy of being a special soldier, he also once again asked everyone, especially the commander who leads the team, everything must be considered thoroughly, any carelessness, there is a fluke mentality, it will not only bring you harm to yourself, It is more likely that your comrades around you will be in danger together.
These accidents are a wake-up call for everyone, who realize that injuries, illness and death are not far away, and every negligence means danger.
Within a few days, the scene of life on the training ground was repeated, but the faces of the students were more dignified.
