Chapter 1217: Waiting for the Rabbit

The village of Epoka is an ordinary small village in western Russia. After the Germans captured a vast area west of Smolensk, it became the occupied zone. The Russians living here live in great poverty. Although the Germans did not plunder their grain, the poor harvest caused by the war left many Russians without enough to eat and only survived on wild vegetables.

Especially in the cold winter, many families are unable to sustain themselves, and even have run out of food. Under such circumstances, the guerrillas came to the village with food to recruit people, and many young people went with the guerrillas. Most of the rest of the village are old people and children.

On this afternoon, the tranquility of the village of Epoca was shattered. On the outskirts of the village, a large number of German troops appeared. They surrounded the village. Even at the intersections, they were guarded by German armored fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers.

The Russians in the village were terrified, fearing that the ferocious Germans would attack them.

After all, in the propaganda of the Russian government and the partisans, the Germans are the devil who does all kinds of evil, which makes many Russians very afraid of these German soldiers.

Driven by the Germans, the entire village was concentrated.

"Sir, we're all ordinary civilians!" An old man with a gray beard was smiling all over his face.

"Who are you?" Major Schultz asked.

"I'm the head of the village, I don't know what happened when the chief came to our village? There is no food left in our village. The village chief said. He was afraid that the Germans had come to rob them of their grain.

"No, no. We don't want your food. Or, if you cooperate, we can provide you with some food. Major Schultz said.

During previous searches, soldiers have reported that many Russians are running out of pot in their homes. And this, too, gave Major Schultz a glimmer of hope. Perhaps, in this way, the guerrillas can be found.

"Sir? What do you want from us? The village chief asked. He believes that there is no such thing as a free lunch. How could those Germans be kind enough to give them food?

"I know, you must know about the guerrillas in the forest. If you are willing to speed up the location of those guerrilla strongholds, then all this food will be yours! Major Schultz said.

The German soldiers carried out dozens of bags of flour.

When the Russians saw the flour, they couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva. They can't open the pot, and they are undoubtedly very eager for these flours. However, if you want them to betray the guerrillas, they can't do it. Everyone's eyes fell on the village chief, as if it was up to him to decide.

"Sir, you're joking, we don't know what guerrillas are? We are all good citizens! The village chief chuckled in a low voice.

"It seems that you think there is too little flour. Well, then, I'm in charge, and if you tell us about the guerrillas, I'll have another hundred sacks of flour delivered within three days. This is enough food for the people of your village to survive this winter. Major Schultz said.

However, the village chief and the other villagers remained unmoved.

Seeing this, the smile on Major Schultz's face disappeared.

"Are you rejecting my kindness and unwilling to cooperate with us?" Major Schultz said coldly.

"Sir, we are really good citizens, and we don't know anything about the guerrillas!" The village chief is still denying it.

"Come on, arrest them all!" Major Schultz ordered.

"Ahh

The German army, like a wolf, pounced on the Russians. Screams of terror rang out, and some Russians who tried to resist were beaten. The butt of the gun smashed into their heads, and the blood flowed profusely.

"Sir, we are all ordinary people, good citizens, you can't treat us like this!" The village chief pleaded.

Major Schultz, however, remained unmoved. The lives of these ordinary Russians were not taken to heart by him. His aim was only to find out where the guerrillas were hiding. If these Russians cooperated, they could let them go. However, since these people are not cooperative at all, then he can only use the most cruel methods.

The Russians in the village were arrested, and they were to be interrogated one by one. The Germans had a way of extracting information from their mouths about the partisans.

Although many Russians were tortured by the Germans to extract confessions, they still refused to disclose the information of the partisans. However, not every Russian will be so strong.

Under the coercion and temptation of the German army, some people who were not determined still confessed. Someone sent a message to the Germans, a girl named Yelena in the village, whose boyfriend was in the guerrillas.

Following this clue, Elena was captured and brought to Major Schultz.

"Sir, he's Elena." Captain Franz said.

"Hello, beautiful girl. I'd like to know about your boyfriend Ivan. I know they are hiding in the forest. But I want to know exactly where they're hiding. I hope you can tell me! Major Schultz said.

"Phew!"

In response to Major Schultz was a mouthful of spit.

Major Schultz wiped the saliva off his face with a hand towel, and then his gaze became cold.

"Come on, bring her down for me!" Major Schultz ordered.

"Sir, what are we going to do now?" Captain Franz asked.

"Now that you have a goal, you are not afraid that they will escape again, at most it will be a waste of time. Captain Franz, take your men to stay in the village and take care of the cover. Captain Adam's men, evacuate the village and set up defenses outside. We can wait until Miss Yelena's lover comes to the village. When the time comes, we will naturally be able to know the whereabouts of the guerrillas from his mouth. "Major Schultz is going to come and wait for Ivan to throw himself into the net.

"Yes, sir!" Captain Franz immediately went to arrange it.

Although, such an approach is somewhat too despicable and shameless. However, this is war. As long as the end can be accomplished, no one cares about the means.

"Sir, can that girl let the big guy have fun?" A special forces soldier asked.

"Absolutely! The women of the village, you can all enjoy. But that girl, Yelena, don't get killed. Wait until her lover arrives, and we'll be useful! Major Schultz had a grim smile on his face.
