Chapter Seventy-Nine: Can't Let Go

If you say, what do people think before they die?

I believe that many people will remember what they have done.

There are also many people who miss their parents or worry about their children.

And Master Kongzhi is no exception.

From the moment when his life was about to come to an end, in his mind, all the fragments of his life flashed first, and he also remembered himself in those years.

He remembers that there was a time when he felt that he was very close, very close to the day of Buddhahood.

He remembered that he had dreamed of Leiyin Temple and the Buddhas in the sky in a ruined temple in the deep mountains of Xishu.

He remembered the Buddha at that time and said that in the future, he would have a catastrophe.

As long as he survives this tribulation, then he will become a Buddha.

But at that time, he didn't realize what this catastrophe would be.

It wasn't until he was highly poisoned that he discovered that the disciples he had accepted were the ones he had to do.

In the past, he was boundless in Buddhism, and he was willing to use his life to transform the world, and he was indeed very close to the other side, very close, very close.

But since he took in the first disciple, since he was poisoned, he has drifted away from the other side.

And until the son of the sun a few days ago, until he began to fear death, he already understood that he had no relationship with the Buddha in this life.

In Nanyang Town, with the strength he showed today, he could kill Black and White Impermanence without much effort.

But he didn't.

Instead, he let the little monk ride his horse and led him around the battle.

He knew that many people would die, and he was also aware of the death of Wuxiang, but he didn't make a move.

He has lost his Buddha heart and is no longer willing to spend a trace of his true qi to save those who have died.

Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, greedy and hateful.

What is the meaning of the word 'law'?

Go to the three points, and it is the law.

If the Buddha, Dharma Sangha, and the Sangha get rid of the three poisons of greed, hatred, and ignorance, they can become Buddhas.

But these days, he has repeatedly been hit by these three poisons.

He was moved by the idea of 'greed', because he was greedy for life, and he was also afraid of death.

He was 'infatuated' because he was intoxicated with wine.

He can fool others, but he can't fool himself.

The people in the rivers and lakes knew that he drank to heal his wounds, but they didn't know that he had already drunk alcohol.

He no longer drank to heal his wounds, but, like many drunkards, to drink, to escape, to get drunk.

And today, he moved the 'anger' again, because he was angry and wanted to kill the person in front of him who had ruined his life.

In fact, what Right Impermanence said before he died was not wrong.

He is empty-minded, and he belongs to that generation, to that era when the heroes rose together.

But when those who were proud of the masses rose up, he was still just a small monk.

And when those big shots left, he also thought that the next person to carry the banner of the rivers and lakes would be him.

But he didn't expect that the righteousness in his heart would become shattered that night.

In the past, he was not afraid of death, nor was he afraid of death.

But now he has become very afraid of death.

He was afraid that he would not be able to see the little monk grow up, and that he would not be able to fulfill the oath he made in front of the little monk.

He once told the little monk that he would personally put on the ring scar for the other party when he was 100 years old.

And he is very close to this day, very close.

So, he didn't want to die and couldn't die.

He really can't let go of his worries, and he can't let go of the little monk.

Many people know that spirits can prolong his life.

But few people know that the reason why he really continued his life and allowed him to live for more than 20 years was actually because of the little monk.

He couldn't rest assured that he couldn't get rid of the little monk, so he became greedy for life and afraid of death.

He understands that as long as he doesn't move his true qi, then he can survive this life, and he can see the day when the little monk grows up.

Therefore, he would rather give up sentient beings, and would rather watch his disciples die with a hard heart than make a move.

He can't become a Buddha anymore, so he can only leave his last time to the little monk.

In fact, he has been living in pain for more than ten years since he was poisoned.

He originally thought that if he broke through to the fourth grade, he would be able to dissolve the poison in his body.

But he didn't expect that even if he broke through the four grades, he still couldn't detoxify, but accelerated the spread of the toxin.

He was in pain and regretted it.

But just when he thought that his dark time might always accompany him to death, a little monk appeared in his life.

He vaguely remembered that it was a rainy afternoon.

He forgot why he had come down, only that the sun was so dazzling.

But although the sky was good, it still couldn't dispel the dark clouds in his heart.

So, with a depressed mood, he went down the mountain.

But at this moment, he saw a crying baby at the foot of this lush green mountain.

He remembered one of his younger brothers, who was carrying a baby in his arms, preparing to go up the mountain.

In fact, such a scene is not uncommon.

Because many people who can't afford to raise children, they will put the newborn baby boy at the foot of the Buddhist mountain, hoping that the monks in the temple can adopt it on their behalf.

In fact, the vast majority of monks in the sect are Buddhist sects because of this.

It's just that this scene is not strange, after being seen by him, he actually moved the idea of accepting apprentices again in an instant.

In the dark, God gave him a glimpse of the crying baby.

It was precisely because of this glance that he had the idea of accepting apprentices.

He looked at the baby's round head, and the little baby looked at him in tears.

But for some reason, the baby suddenly stopped crying after glancing at him, and smiled at him instead.

He didn't understand why the baby smiled at him, he only knew that such an innocent and clean smile had dissipated a lot of the dark clouds in his heart.

So he took the baby as an apprentice.

As it turned out, he lived happily every day for the eighteen years since.

He watched the baby learn to walk, and listened to the baby's milky voice calling him master.

He vaguely remembered that when he first put on the little monk's robe for the little monk who had just learned to walk, the little monk danced and cheered.

For a few years, he even forgot about his poisoning, but took care of the little monk wholeheartedly in the mountains.

Later, he taught the little monk martial arts.

He handed over the martial arts he had learned in his life to the little monk without reservation, including the Yijin Sutra that was originally guarded by him.

He was once lost, and he also resented God's injustice.

But seeing that this little monk was growing up, he felt more and more that God was fair.

Because although God let him accept a rebellious apprentice, he gave him the kindest apprentice in the world.

He has been poisoned, and he can no longer become a Buddha.

He didn't want to protect the justice of this world anymore, and just wanted to spend the rest of his life with his little apprentice.

At this moment, there is still a quarter of an hour before his 100th birthday, but he knows that his life has come to an end.

The ice on his body has spread to his chest and abdomen, and will soon turn his whole person into an ice sculpture.

But at this moment, behind him, there was a voice that frightened him.

"Master !!!!!".
