Chapter 270: A Grand Event
Chapter 270: A Grand Event
The two finally had a place to stay, and thanks to the inn they were looking for, it was relatively high-end, because these two rooms were more expensive than the usual rooms, not to mention the temporary price increase now, so Wan Qian and Song Changqing had the opportunity to live in the inn!
"Brother Song, do you think our luck is good or good?" Wan Qianyang's words really made Song Changqing wonder if there was something wrong with his ears, and hurriedly asked: "Brother, what do you mean by this, what are we lucky with?" ”
"Hahaha, I mean that we can encounter these things at any time, how can we meet someone from the righteous school who is preaching? Shall we listen to it? "Wan Qiyang has been to Buddhist temples and temples before, and he has also listened to the presiding lecture, which is really sleepy, as for the Taoist chief in this Taoist temple, what is going on with the sutra?
In later generations, some Taoist masters at the level of Taoist masters involved more comprehensive teachings, versatile, and had deep attainments in business, cultivation, and health preservation. He did not bring a piece of paper when he lectured on the scriptures, and he interpreted the traditional health cultivation method from the perspective of modern science. At this time, the so-called preaching of the scriptures is generally promoted and publicized from the Confucian way, and the Tao is natural, the Tao, and the Buddha are originally very natural, easy and simple. But people just like to mystify, sanctify, and even superstitiousize it. I like to talk and boast of my cleverness. This is what the Tao Te Ching says, "The road is very bad and the people are good". It's a long way off!
Wan Qiyang heard that this time the Heavenly Master said that what he wanted to explain was the Tao Te Ching, and people throughout the ages interpreted this "Tao" as the way of the universe, the way of heaven and earth, the way of nature, etc., but it was not connected with "virtue". In fact, the Tao Te Ching only deals with two issues: "Tao" and "Virtue", and "Tao" is not the way of the universe or the way of nature, but the method of individual cultivation, that is, the cultivation of the Tao; "Virtue" is not what we usually think of as morality or virtue, but a special worldview, methodology, and way of dealing with the world that a cultivator should have. Modern people regard Buddhism and Taoism as a mystical culture because their methods of cultivation are very special, and they require practitioners to have special "virtues". In the past, many people cultivated the Tao, and they knew that cultivating the Tao required the cultivation of special "virtues" first, but very few people finally understood what the "Tao" was. The general part of the Tao Te Ching puts forward the method of cultivating the Tao, but the vast majority of the latter part discusses the "virtue" of the Tao, so it is difficult for those who only practice the Tao and do not know the "virtue" to understand it, and it is even more difficult for those who do not practice the Tao and only understand the Tao as the way of the universe from the text. Only those who can understand the Tao can know that "Tao" and "Virtue" are combined into one, and the three words of the Tao Te Ching and the outline have summarized the content of the whole text.
Taoism now refers to the religion that is based on ancient Chinese religious beliefs, inheriting some religious concepts and practice methods such as Fang Xian Dao and Huang Lao Dao, and gradually forming a religion with "Tao" as the highest belief, Lao Tzu as the master, Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching" as the main classic, and the pursuit of cultivation to become a god. The common acquired immortals are mostly those who have cultivated and achieved merit in the inner pills.
From the beginning of its founding, Taoism has taken Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching as the fundamental classic, and regarded "Tao" and "virtue" as the basic beliefs. Taoism believes that the Tao is the origin and master of all things in the universe, which is omnipresent and all-encompassing, and that all things evolve from the Tao. And "virtue" is the embodiment of "Tao". Sanqingzun God is the initial personification of the "Tao", and also represents the three important processes of the creation of the universe (Tao Shengyi, one life two, two Shengthree, three Shengwu - Tao Te Ching), Sanqinghua gave birth to the heavens, earth, universe and natural gods, these are called the innate gods (Tianzun), which is the evolution of the Tao, the innate is one with the Tao, and the Tao is far and wide and fills the boundless universe, so Taoists often say "immeasurable Tianzun", human beings can achieve the realm of unity with the Tao in some ways, these people are called the acquired immortals, Those who have the highest cultivation can also reach the Heavenly Venerable.
Taoism takes Taishang Laojun (i.e., Daode Tianzun) as the leader, that is, Lao Tzu. In addition, there are other sayings in the Taoist scriptures of different sects in history, one is to take Yuqing Yuan Shi Tianzun as the highest god, the second is to Shangqing Lingbao Tianzun as the supreme god, and the third is to take Taiqing Daode Tianzun as the supreme god, and finally, it has evolved into the theological theory of the Trinity.
Teach rebirth and evil death, pursue immortality, and believe that human life can be decided by itself, and does not have to obey the orders of heaven. It is believed that as long as people are good at cultivating and maintaining health, they can live forever and become immortals. As a result, many cultivation methods have emerged: alchemy, taking food, breathing, fetal breathing, massage, guiding, rooming, bigu, contemplation, obedience, and chanting.
Taoist theology can be said to be a religious doctrine after the mystification of Taoist thought, which may not be completely compatible, and the similarities and differences between them are quite interesting. However, Taoism is called Lao and Zhuang by its ancestors, and respects many Taoist classics such as "Tao Te Ching" (Lao Tzu) and "Nanhua Jing" (Zhuangzi), after all, it absorbs and inherits a large amount of Taoist thought. In addition, it was also influenced by the Yi and the Yin-Yang School, Confucianism, Buddhism, and the ancient Fang Xiandao.
"Dude, are you interested in this? I want to sleep when I hear this, don't talk about how to cultivate, speaking of this Taoism, there are also basic methods of exhalation and absorption in internal strength, and if you can learn these, hahaha, then the martial arts will be thousands of miles in a day, and usually three or five people can't get close. Song Changqing saw Wan Qianyang's somewhat suspicious expression, and hurriedly added: "Don't believe it, brother, I met a master in the rivers and lakes a few years ago, when I was killed by the government, there were about three or five masters of the Jinyi Guard, and I surrounded me I thought I was dead, but I didn't expect to be rescued by a master on the way, at that time I saw that the person's starting style is the way of the Taoist, and it is obvious that the internal force should have a small success, anyway, those Jinyi Guards were entangled by him before I had to get out, I haven't seen this master since that day, and he's my benefactor! Song Changqing's words made Wan Qiyang also feel a little incredible, this is all about internal strength, is there really someone who has practiced it?
"Brother Song, I heard that this cultivation of internal strength must be cultivated from an early age, and it will only take thirty or fifty years to have a small success, how old do you say that people are only a few years old, and if they reach a great success, shouldn't they also enter the earth, what is the meaning of cultivating internal strength??" Wan Qiyang also saw from the Ming of later generations that those advanced martial arts must be assisted by internal force, and it takes thirty or fifty years of accumulation to achieve a slight success, so he said something.
