Although there were more than a dozen princes in the Kwantung Coalition Army, everyone did not all get together, but was divided into four parts:

The first part is the sour jujube base camp of Zhang Miao, Liu Dai, Qiao Mao, Yuan Yi, Bao Xin and Cao Cao and other princes, the geographical location is basically in the east of the famous Tiger Prison Pass in history, which is easy to defend and difficult to attack, and it is convenient to contact the rear and supply, and it gathers most of the troops of the Kwantung Coalition Army, and the strength is the strongest. However, although they also regarded Yuan Shao as the leader of the alliance and agreed to crusade against Dong Zhuo, each of them had their own little abacus in their hearts, and it was no problem for them to shout a few slogans, as for sending people to crusade against the powerful Xiliang army, then they would not be accompanied. Cao Cao later left Zhang Miao to join Yuan Shao because of this, and their supplies were mainly supported by Han Fu.

The second part was the Hanoi army headed by Yuan Shao, whose main ally was Wang Kuang, and Zhang Yang and Cao Cao also came later, roughly north of Luoyang. This part of the army is actually the only force that the alliance leader Yuan Shao can mobilize, but it is a pity that on the eve of Yuan Shao and Wang Kuanglin's army preparing to attack Dong Zhuo, they were caught off guard by Dong Zhuo, and as a result, the front-line troops were all wiped out, which also directly led to Yuan Shao's inability to attack for a long time. The third part was Yuan Shu's army, stationed in the Nanyang area, roughly south of Luoyang. After Yuan Shu waited for Sun Jian, he and Sun Jian were inside and outside, Sun Jian was responsible for leading the army in the front, and Yuan Shu was responsible for preparing grain and grass support in the rear, and the two complemented each other very well and cooperated very well with each other. As for Yuan Shao, although Yuan Shu superficially admitted that Yuan Shao was the leader of the alliance, he was actually very unconvinced, thinking that Yuan Shao was just a wild child born of a slave, and this adult was the eldest son!

The fourth part is Kong Ling's troops, the Yingchuan troops in the southeast of Luoyang. Although Kong Ling wanted to come to make soy sauce, it was a pity that Xiliangjun did not let him go.

Finally, as for Han Fu, he sat in Jizhou, the rear, and was mainly responsible for the grain and grass support of the coalition forces.

The result is that Yuan Shao, the leader of the alliance, is in name only, and the princes are all listening to the tune and not listening to the announcement, some want to preserve their strength, some want to fight, and some just come to see, there is no cooperation between each other at all, and even fighting separately is not counted, and in the end, the princes who have fought with the Xiliang army are only Cao Cao and Sun Jian.

Later, Han Fu also cut off the supply of grain and grass, and the sour jujube coalition was forced to disband, and Yuan Shao also had a strange idea, and the coalition army had actually been disbanded. The battle of Vadong became a duel between Yuan Shu, Sun Jian and the Xiliang army, and as a result, after they did not have the allies who were always dragging their feet, they won successive battles and successfully recovered Luoyang and achieved a phased victory. It's a pity that Yuan Shao had already changed his mind at that time, although he couldn't tolerate Dong Zhuo, but he couldn't see his younger brother Yuan Shu getting bigger, and the two Yuan were fighting, but gave Dong Zhuo a chance to breathe.

Let's take a look at Dong Zhuo's side.

Unlike Yuan Shao, Dong Zhuo controls the political, economic and military power of the imperial court, but this does not mean that Dong Zhuo can withstand the continuous digging of those party members and scholars.

When the Allied forces were just formed, Dong Zhuo decided to strike first and immediately sent a large army to quell the rebels, but the party members and scholars gave up, and they said to Dong Zhuo: "How can you do this? The current Kwantung Coalition Army is still so weak, how boring it is to fight, if you lose the battle, where will you put your face? Dong Zhuo heard that it made sense, and then gave up the first move.

As a result, there are more and more princes who rebel against Dong Zhuo, and the power of the Kwantung Coalition Army is also getting bigger and bigger. The feng shui of Luoyang may not be very good, so Dong Zhuo decided to move the capital. The party and the scholars are no longer doing it, how can you move the capital? Do you know how hard it is to move the capital? But Dong Zhuo didn't think so, he felt that moving the capital was a good opportunity to make a big profit, and now he could have the opportunity to catch all the fat sheep in the capital, so Dong Zhuo was very firm in asking to move the capital, and for those fly-like scholars, he took measures to kill chickens and monkeys, and successfully suppressed the voice of opposition to moving the capital.

In this way, whatever Dong Zhuo wants to do, the party members and scholars will find reasons to oppose it, and his think tank will do everything possible to realize any measures that are unfavorable to Dong Zhuo.

Due to the discord of people within the two camps, their respective military standards have been lowered by several notches. As a result, what was originally a peak duel between the ultra-luxury lineup turned into a low-level war where you fight me and I fight you, which is really laughable.

In this war, in fact, the protagonists in the early stage are Dong Zhuo, Xu Rong, and Yuan Shao, and then there is a duel between Dong Zhuo, Lu Bu, Yuan Shu, and Sun Jian.

In the end, the war was anticlimactic, after Sun Jian conquered Luoyang, there was no further action on both sides, and the Dong coalition army was essentially disbanded, and the confrontation between the two camps between Dong Zhuo and the anti-Dong coalition army ended after only two or three years. The princes of all walks of life originally gathered together to crusade against Dong Zhuo, but in the end, they evaluated each other's allies and preserved their own strength, but they formed a lot of grudges between their own people.

After Dong Zhuo moved the capital to Chang'an, he continued to bring disaster to the world, making the heavens angry and resentful, and was finally betrayed and killed by his righteous son Lu Bu, and the entire Xiliang army became fragmented. The two brothers Yuan Shao and Yuan Shu, who had the strongest prestige in the alliance, intensified their contradictions after the war and were seriously antagonistic to each other, and the result was that Yuan Shao formed an alliance with Cao Cao and Liu Biao against Yuan Shu, and Yuan Shu also recruited Gongsun Zhan and Tao Qian to fight against Yuan Shao, and the two forces immediately fought one after another.
