They have political opinions to speak, and the king has to come to the door to listen. Those who have been knighted by the Son of Heaven have to be ranked with the villagers according to their age. Those who get the knighthood of two lives only need to be sorted by age with the clansmen; If you get the three-life knighthood, you don't need to compare your age with others, and you can go directly to the top; But if you meet a clansman over 70 years old, you don't dare to be on top. Elderly people over the age of 70 do not have to enter the court if there is no major matter; If there is a major event in the court, the monarch must first give a salute to him, and then to the prince.
The Son of Heaven has achievements, and it should be attributed to Heaven. The princes have achievements, and they should be attributed to the Son of Heaven. Doctor Qing has made achievements, which should be attributed to the princes. Scholars and commoners should be attributed to their parents and elders when they have made achievements. When encountering the celebration of the addition of officials and the celebrity, they should set up sacrifices higher than the ancestors, to indicate that this is the result of the ancestors' accumulation of virtue, and the descendants are just sheltered. In the past, the auspicious and evil signs shown by the sages according to the changes of yin and yang were summarized as "Yi". The official in charge of divination stood on the south side with a turtle used for divination, and the Son of Heaven stood on the north side wearing a top hat and a dragon robe. This means that we dare not act arbitrarily, respect the will of heaven, attribute our achievements to others, and blame ourselves for our mistakes, which is to teach people not to boast and to respect sages.
The filial son is about to hold a sacrifice, and he must consider the sacrifice with a respectful mood, prepare the sacrifice clothes, renovate the palace, and handle various affairs. On the day of the sacrifice, the face must be gentle, but the walk must be nervous, as if afraid that he will not be able to catch up with his loved ones. When a filial son offers a sacrifice, he should have a pleasant face and bend his body forward, as if he was speaking to a loved one and waiting for an answer. When the guests of the festival all withdrew one after another, the filial son still stood there silently, as if he was blind. When the sacrifice ended, the filial son was still immersed in the thoughts of his relatives, and he was in a trance, as if his relatives were going to come in.
Therefore, the attitude of sincerity has always been manifested in the filial son, what the ears hear and the eyes see are consistent with the thoughts in the heart, and the thoughts in the heart are not relatives all the time. With a longing complex in my heart, I also reveal it in my appearance, repeatedly recalling and introspecting, this is the mentality of a filial son.

(25) Sacrificial system
Of all the ways to govern the people, there is nothing more important than propriety. There are five kinds of rituals: auspicious, fierce, guest, military, and jia, and the most important of them is the sacrifice. The ritual is not that there is something in the outside world that forces you to do this, but that it is a conscious act from the depths of your heart. Spring, summer, autumn and winter, with the passage of time, when people feel the sadness, they can't help but think of their deceased relatives, and the expression of this feeling is to sacrifice with rituals, so only the sages can fully understand the meaning of the rituals.
The sacrifice of the sage will definitely receive the blessing of the ghosts and gods, but this blessing is not the blessing that the world says. The blessing of the sage is the meaning of preparation. And how to say the word preparation? It means that everything is done in a proper way. Everything goes well, this is called preparation. It means to say: to oneself, to act according to one's conscience; To the outside world, act according to reason. The loyal minister serves the king, and the filial son serves his parents, in which loyalty and filial piety come from a straight word. If you are on the top, you will follow the ghosts and gods, on the outside you will follow the king, and on the inside you will follow your parents.
Only a sage can be prepared, and only if he can be prepared, then he can make a sacrifice that will inevitably be blessed by the ghosts and gods. Therefore, the sacrifice of the sage is nothing but the sacrifice of the sacrifice with all his integrity and loyalty, with the ceremony, with the music, with the season, and the clean offering, and there is no need for the blessing of God. This is the mood of filial piety when the sacrifice is held. The sacrifice of filial piety is used to complete the unfulfilled offerings and filial piety to the parents during their lifetime.
The so-called filial piety is the accumulation of this kind of offering and filial piety. A straight word runs through the parents' life and after their deaths, which is called the accumulation of filial piety. Therefore, the filial son serves his parents no more than three things: the first is to make a good offering during his lifetime, the second is to mourn according to the rites after the death, and the third is to sacrifice on time after the mourning period expires. In the matter of making offerings, we can see whether the son is filial or not, whether he is sad in the matter of mourning, and whether he is pious and punctual in the matter of sacrifice. These three things are done well, and they are worthy of being called filial piety.
The sacrifice not only requires oneself to do one's best, but also asks for help from outside, which is related to the wedding. Therefore, the king's proposal before marrying the woman was as follows: I heard that you have a virtuous daughter, and you hope to marry me, and govern the country with me, and worship the shrine of the temple. That's what asking for help is for. The sacrifice must be attended by the husband and wife themselves, so that someone is responsible for everything inside and out. If someone is responsible for everything, there must be sacrifices. There are hǎi dishes and meat sauces produced in the water and land land, which can be regarded as a complete snack for sacrifices.
The cattle, sheep and pigs are complete, and the millet and rice beams are divided into eight bowls, which is considered delicious. There are also all kinds of different insects, and all kinds of different melons and fruits, which are all kinds of things in the world. In short, as long as it is born under heaven and grows on the earth, as long as it can be used for sacrifice, there is nothing at all, which means that the sacrifice is extremely rich. Objectively, it requires that the sacrifice be extremely rich, and subjectively it requires extreme piety, which can be regarded as the intention of the sacrifice.
