Later, because Yuan Tan was jealous of his younger brother Yuan Shang, his demands were always not satisfied, so he killed Feng Ji and Yuan Shang and broke with Yuan Shang completely. Later, out of the need for stability, he wrote a long letter to Yuan Tan to persuade peace, but unfortunately it was too late.

The most glorious scene in the life of the judge was guarding Yecheng, because he was widely praised in later generations for his unyielding and persevering to the end in Yecheng. But in fact, in the early stage of guarding Yecheng, Cao Cao's threat to Yecheng was relatively limited, until Cao Cao dug out the trench and successfully isolated Yecheng from inside and outside, which forced Yecheng to a desperate situation, otherwise Yuan Shang may not need to return to help, and he can have more time to eliminate Yuan Tan.
