If you gather the scattered officials and people here, send an envoy to pay tribute to the Son of Heaven, contact Cao Yanzhou, and ask him for support, although Cao Gong and we have Yuan Shu in the middle, Yuan Shu is a generation of jackals, and it will not last. You are the Yangzhou pastor appointed by the Son of Heaven, and Cao Cao and Liu Biao will definitely help you. ”

Xu Shao's suggestion was undoubtedly a good policy, and later Sun Ce really crusaded against Huiji, and Huiji Taishou Wang Lang could not escape and was finally captured alive by Sun Ce. Moreover, at that time, Sun Ce and Liu Biao had a grudge against their father, and Cao Cao had a very poor relationship with Yuan Shu, and both of them seemed to be natural allies of Liu Xuan.

According to the record of "Emperor Xian Spring and Autumn", at that time, Liu Xuan's soldiers were in Pengze and sent Zhenrong to support Zhu Hao in his crusade against Zhuge Xuan, the Taishou of Yuzhou appointed by Liu Biao. At that time, Xu Shao said to Liu Xuan: "If this person leads the troops out, he will definitely not take your orders into account, and Zhu Wenming (Zhu Hao) is kind and treats people with sincerity, so he should be more vigilant against Zhenrong." And Xu Shao's unfortunate words, after Zhen Rong left, he really had bad intentions, deceived and killed Zhu Hao, and seized Yuzhang.

Liu Rong's betrayal made Liu Rong very angry, so Liu Xiang personally marched to attack Zhenrong, but was defeated by Zhenrong for the first time, and then he gathered the people of his counties again, which defeated Zhenrong. He fled to the mountains and was killed by the local people. Liu Miao died of illness soon after, at the age of forty-two.

Throughout Liu Xuan's life, it can be seen that he is kind to others, but he is not an excellent leader, he as a Yangzhou pastor, has never become the real master of Yangzhou, not only Yangzhou Shouchun was occupied by Yuan Shu, and later he was driven out of the old nest Qu'a, can only live in Yangzhou a place, and finally Yangzhou six counties, only Yuzhang barely retained.
