Chapter 1215: Time also, life also
PS: The second chapter is in the evening
The Confucius Mansion is located in the northern suburbs of Yexian County, surrounded by mountains and rivers, Zhao Wuxian's car drove a moment away, and when he was on the edge of the city gate, he met Yan Hui who came to greet him. Pen % fun % Pavilion www.biquge.info
"Yan Hui has seen the uncle."
Zhao Wuxian helped him up and said with a smile: "I haven't seen him for twenty years, but Ziyuan has become a great Confucian in the south, spreading the Central Plains Voice Religion in Wanye Land, and he is also famous in Ye. β
On this historical line, Yan Hui, who should have died early, is still there, and his serious illness is still due to Zhao Wuxian's instructing Zigong to ask Zhao Guolingque's doctor to heal him. It can be said that Yan Hui owes Zhao Wuxian a life, and it is precisely because this beloved disciple did not die, and Zilu did not die tragically in defending the country, that Confucius was able to live so many years longer than in history......
Although Yan Hui has a long beard under his chin, his personality and attitude are no different, he is still wearing coarse cloth clothes that look a little shivering, with a gentle smile on the corner of his mouth, he is not happy with things, he is not sad about himself, and he is also respectful and humble to Zhao Wuxian but not humble, which is very different from the "gentlemen and Confucians" who groveled and knelt in front of Zhao Wuxian yesterday to seek officials.
After all, in the more than ten years in the south, Yan Hui traveled all over Jingchu, while visiting the famous mountains and rivers to collect the disciples, while collecting the classics of the Zhou Dynasty that those princes were scattered in the Chu State when they ran south, and then brought them back to Ye County and compiled them with Confucius. Unconsciously, he added a lot of incomplete "poems" and "books", and then began to revise the poems and music, so that "Ya" and "Song" were restored to their original tunes.
These academic achievements in Yedi were brought to the Linzhang School Palace by Zi Zhang, and with these things, the banner of Confucianism could enter the School Palace and compete with the name and law.
Zhao Wuxian acquiesced to the existence of Confucian scholars in the palace, not only to give face to Zigong, Ran Qiu and other important ministers who were born as disciples of Confucius. In his view, although Confucianism is good in the past and not in the present, and likes to write moral articles and is less practical, it also has a lot of uses.
Revising the rites and presiding over the ceremony, no one is better than them, a country needs not only internal rigidity, but also an external robe to cover shame, Confucianism, is this robe. Qin Shi Huang burned the poetry books, but he always kept a group of doctors around him. Liu Bang in later generations despised Confucianism when he raised his army, and he also urinated and insulted them in their Confucian crowns, but after the establishment of the country, he also had to use some doctors to decorate the façade of the Han Dynasty, so as not to be ridiculed as an upstart who did not know etiquette and had no background.
The most important thing is that this school has many shortcomings, but in one point, it cannot be replaced by other schools, that is, the persistence in "changing the summer into Yiyi".
Although Legalism can be used to formulate national standards, it is difficult for people to generate centripetal force when they control the country with skill and momentum, and once the tension of the country decays, it is a disintegration. The Mohists are a school that advocates seeking common ground while reserving differences, and has no interest in expansion and merger, they believe that the Yi people have the way of living of the Yi people, and the Rong people have the way of living of the Rong people, and there is no need to force it, just maintain the harmony within Zhuxia.
Confucianism is the only one that believes in the value orientation of "using Xia to change Yi". The difference between Yi and Xia, at first, was mainly the natural distinction of blood, not my race, its heart must be different, Xia people, Zhou people, Yin people, Yi people, Jing Wei distinct. In order to bridge the natural separation of this ethnic group, after the Zhou metric system of ritual music, from the perspective of the ritual music system, the distinction between Yixia and Xia was highlighted as cultural differences. As a result, Xia, Zhou, Yin, and even most of Dongyi were combined into a brand-new "Zhuxia", and the same surname Ji, Jiang, and Ying, who were derogatorily called the barbaric and uncivilized in the four realms, were called "Yidi". Confucianism inherited this concept, and it was believed that Yixia could be transformed into each other. As long as Yidi accepts the Chinese etiquette and customs, it can also be included in the Chinese system, which is "changing Yi with Xia".
Dealing with the barbarian Rong Di all over Kyushu, killing alone cannot solve the problem, and continuous conquest, acceptance, and assimilation are the royal approach. At this time, Confucianism came in handy, using morality and etiquette to educate barbarians, change customs, weaken the combat effectiveness of the four yi, and the people gradually no longer regarded themselves as barbarians, and turned to Mugui Huaxia.
In history, the reason why the Han was able to achieve more results in unification than Qin was also the effect of the spread of Confucianism. After the Song and Ming dynasties, there were not many Qiang and Miao in the south, and they slowly considered themselves Han Chinese, and even began to pass on poems and books, which continued to spread to the periphery.
Therefore, Zhao Wuxian will learn the lessons of the Qin and Han dynasties, and in the school palace, with the law, Gewu, and etiquette as the three cores, as the troika of official doctrines, and at the same time let several unofficial schools join in to stir up different theories. The name and law concentrate on building order, and the study of things encourages scientific progress, as for Confucianism, doesn't it like to teach without class? Just throw them to the frontier to spread and educate.
Therefore, Yan Hui's achievements in the south have become a textbook example, Zhao Wuxian specially gave him to travel with the car, and also invited Yan to go back to Yecheng to give lectures, and publicize his experience in spreading the culture of the Central Plains in Chu.
Yan Hui humbly excused himself again and again, and finally agreed, but sighed with emotion and said: "In fact, in terms of learning, the master is better than countless returns. The height of the up, the strength of the drill. Look ahead, ignore behind. Master is good at inducing students step by step, enriching my knowledge with classics, and regulating my words and deeds with etiquette, so that it is impossible for me to stop studying. In the past twenty years, I have done my best and I seem to have made some achievements, but when I look up, I find that Master's knowledge is still standing high in front of me. I want to catch up, but I can't catch ......up."
Yan replied to this, but there was a hint that Zhao Wuxian would ask Confucius to come back instead of letting him give a lecture......
"Zi Yuan knows Confucius's temperament better than Gu, and the widow ruined his order of Zhou etiquette, so it's good to attack it without beating the drum, and let him be used by Zhao? I'm afraid it's impossible. β
If it weren't for the temper of an old cow, Confucius would not have been in exile for more than 20 years, and he still did not want to return to the state of Lu.
Yan Hui also knew that he sighed and said no more.
After half a ring, Zhao Wuxian asked again: "What is Confucius busy with recently, besides compiling the Spring and Autumn Period?" β
Yan replied: "Master has been quite fond of studying Yi recently, almost to the extent of forgetting to sleep and eat, except for eating and sleeping, he can't release the scroll, so that the cowhide rope that weaves through the book has been broken many times. β
Zhao Wuxian was a little stunned: "The widow remembers that when he was in the central capital, Confucius was not good at "Yi", and regarded "Yi" as the opposite of seeking virtue and righteousness, why is he obsessed with it now?" β
Somewhat incomprehensible, he raised his head and looked up at the clear blue sky after the winter cleared, half speechless.
Could it be that Kongqiu, who had been searching all his life up and down, became superstitious in his later years?
While speaking, Confucius's mansion has arrived, and it is still a small courtyard that covers a small area, with vegetables planted in the nursery, chickens and ducks raised in the fishery, and the murmuring stream, which takes away the hustle and bustle in Ye County......
"It's exactly the same as the layout of the old house in Qufu."
Zhao Wuxian suddenly laughed: "Jiao often misses her hometown, so she arranged such a courtyard in Changle Palace, which is also very quiet, when the widow is upset, she likes to stay for a few days, and she will quietly flip through the books next to her, so as not to disturb me." β
Regardless of anything else, even if it was to marry his wife for twenty years, and their daughter, Zhao Wuxian had to have some respect for Confucius.
What's more, in the hearts of every Chinese in later generations, there is a Confucius living in their hearts. In the hearts of different people, he is either hypocrisy, or true and clear, or the holy teacher, or a sinner through the ages, and those who know others say that they are worried, and those who do not know what they want from him......
But no matter what your personal perception is, this is a cultural imprint that has accumulated for 2,000 years, whether you like it or not, you just can't wash it off and can't get rid of it. Countless times to change the dynasty, throw the grave and destroy the reputation, the movement overthrows, knocked to the ground, I thought I would never see this guy again, after the change, he turned back, and was regarded as a symbol of the cultural core by the country's leaders, enshrined again, continued to be criticized, and continued to start another cycle of discredit, but he just waved his hands there and smiled silently.
Zhao Wuxian has always felt that the smile of the Confucius statue is a smile that is even more mysterious than the Mona Lisa.
One of the major characteristics of China's post-Qin history is the rise and fall of dynasties in flowing water, and the iron-clad Confucius, this person, no one can get around.
Unless...... Change his destiny and status from the source!
At this point, Zhao Wuxian asked himself, he had already done it.
With a bit of concern, Wuxian got out of the car in front of the door, and asked the people to carry down the books that were going to be given to Confucius - a full five cars, but not to be disturbed by the hospital.
Then, Zhao Wuxian followed Yan Hui and walked inside.
But before they could knock, the door of the inner room slowly opened......
An old man with gray hair, a thick beard and chest-length eyes, but still neatly dressed, stood inside the door, looking at Zhao Wuxian who saluted him, with a serious face and eyes like a torch.
I don't know how long it took for his expression to slowly relax, silently returned the salute, turned sideways, and seemed to be opposite not the princes and uncles who were about to be kings and ministers in the world, but an old friend who would visit in the future for many years.
"Come in, Zitai, I played a hexagram the day before yesterday, so it's time for you to come......"
β¦β¦
Confucius is old, this is Zhao Wuxian's first sense, in the past, he was nine feet tall and six inches tall, but now he seems a little rickety, almost only the same height as Zhao Wuxian.
After a closer look, he found that his former tiger back had been hunched, and the whole person seemed to have shrunk in a circle, the wrinkles were covered by white hair and thick beards, but his eyes could no longer be opened, and he was still coughing. Because Yan Hui and Zilu are not dead, and even Kong Lili is alive and well, there is no need to send black-haired people to white-haired people, so Confucius was able to live a few years longer than in history, but at present, I am afraid that time is running out......
However, it was not as Zhao Wuxian imagined, as soon as they met, Confucius was as sharp as he was back then, criticizing his various behaviors, and finally broke up unhappily. Today's Confucius seems to have seen a little, and he doesn't want to talk too much, like an ordinary old man who has been a little confused, he first asked his daughter in Yecheng if she is okay? He also said that he was very satisfied with Yu Boya, his grandson-in-law.
It seems that he has forgotten the rupture between the two of them when their ideas and practices conflicted?
It seems that he is already looking forward to teasing his great-grandson and living a comfortable life?
Five out of ten are determined to learn, thirty and stand, forty and not confused, fifty and know the destiny of heaven, sixty and obedient, seventy and do what you want without exceeding the rules......
He is over 70 years old this year, and he can already do what he wants, listen to contrary words, and treat all kinds of remarks correctly, don't you feel uncomfortable?
If this is really the case, Zhao Wuxian is a lot more relieved.
Afterwards, Confucius pointed to the paper book spread out on the desk and said: "The printing technology of Zhao is a national weapon for the benefit of the people of the world. In the old man's opinion, this thing is more useful than all kinds of siege equipment, strong armor and blades, and it would be nice if Zhao Guo had more similar things......"
Confucius's house is still densely occupied by books, half of which are bamboo slips, half are paper books, and most of them are sent by Zigong.
"But there is something for the Master."
Zhao Wuxian took out a box from his sleeve, and after opening it, he took out a small glass mirror embedded in a frame made of turtle shells......
Confucius probably heard of this thing, the glassware of Zhao State has become a luxury like porcelain, and the nobles of Chu are flocking to it, but he waved his hand: "Zai Zhao is also a dying old man, what is the use of this thing." β
"This is no ordinary mirror."
Zhao Wuxian walked to the desk and put the place in the light, and the light went straight through the glass......
This is a lens, it is a new creation of Lu Ban, and the principle is the same as the clairvoyant mirror used in the army, which can magnify the words that cannot be seen clearly, so that it is easy to see. I don't think that the Master might be able to use it. β
After Confucius took the letter suspiciously, put it on the simple slip of the word like a mosquito and a fly, it was really easy to read a lot, he did not like money or joy in his life, but he loved books like his life, he often suffered from old eyes and faintness, and suddenly he couldn't put it down, and couldn't help but praise: "It's really a good thing......
But Zhao Wuxian carefully discovered that the pile of simple books on Confucius's case was basically related to Zhou Yi, and the ground was also covered with tortoise shells and grass, arranged in the shape of gossip, and sure enough, as Yan Hui said, Confucius has been quite obsessed with Zhou Yi's deduction recently.
He asked, "Master, have you started to do Yi too?" β
Confucius put down the lens, raised his head, and said, "However, when he was young, he regarded the "Zhou Yi" as a pure book of divination, so he discarded it. It wasn't until he found Zhou Taishi's scattered "Yixiang" in Chu that he realized that it contained many ancient last words. It contains the virtue of the Duke of Zhou and the reason why Zhou is the king of the world......"
After speaking, he sighed regretfully: "It's a pity, if I live a few more years, in this way, I will be able to understand the words and principles of "Zhou Yi" more fully...... However, it is okay to die at night! β
In recent years, Confucius has indeed undergone some changes, and he pinned his ideals and judgments on the politics of the world in the "Spring and Autumn Period". On the other hand, he also pinned his confusion about the universe and life on the Zhou Yi system full of mysterious gossip, which was an important reason for his "ear shun".
"Fate...... In the heart of Wu Xian, the master has always been a wise and brave man who goes against fate, is it possible that he has also begun to believe in fate? β
β¦β¦
"Looking at my life, I can't do it if I don't believe in fate."
After Confucius said this calmly, he told Zhao Wuxian about something: "Shang Qu, the diviner, once made a hexagram for me to measure my career. In the end, I got the volcanic "brigade" hexagram, the top is Lihuo, and the bottom is Genshan, which is the second hexagram in the palace gossip, which means that even though I have some little wisdom, I have no life to govern the country, and I will eventually be displaced and become a bird without branches to live in......"
Sure enough, the old man has spent his whole life doing nothing. failed to govern in Lu State, and was exiled to Zheng State, panicking like a lost dog; When it came to Chen Cai again, the group of disciples almost starved to death; It was easy to settle down in Yedi, but he was raised by Ye Gong and not used, so he was disheartened......"
During these 20 years of exile, although Confucius had no worries about food and clothing in the second half of the journey, he was really depressed in his heart.
The ideals that he had been running for all his life were shattered, and the person who destroyed his ideals was precisely Zhao Wuxian, whom he once admired and admired, and talented disciples who took refuge in the Zhao family for various reasons. All that was left around me was rotten wood that could not be carved.
What's even more tragic is that he still has to watch the depressed and melancholy world of Zhou Li, which he longs for, collapses at an accelerated pace......
Zhao Wuxian understood that everything in Fang Cai was an illusion, and Confucius actually didn't see anything about it on the surface, so he could only comfort himself with "impermanence of fate", so that he wouldn't be so angry that he would die.
But to say that you don't care in your heart is impossible.
"The affairs of the Lu Kingdom, the affairs of the Dai Jin, and the things that caused the complete collapse of Zhou Li are all caused by uncompassion, Master, do you blame me?" Finally, Zhao Wuxian still said this sentence.
"Don't dare to blame the Central Plains Uncle."
Confucius clenched his fists, glanced at Zhao Wuxian with an extremely complicated gaze, let go of his hand again, and said: "This maybe, this is Ji Shi, this maybe, it is the Mandate of Heaven......
He was stunned, looked up to the sky and sighed: "Woohoo, the phoenix bird does not come, the river has no plan to come, the time is also, and the life is also!" β
"That's not right." Zhao Wuxian interrupted Confucius's sigh.
"Master, you said the opposite, in my opinion, the phoenix bird will be in the future, and the river map is coming!"
He stood up and said to Confucius, who was full of pessimism: "Master, I am here today to inform you that I am going to be king, and I am going to replace Zhou Tianzi. There will be kings in the world for 500 years, and I will abandon the three generations, and on this basis, establish a new dynasty! Start a better era than the past! β
