Chapter 50: Lawrence in Action

The handcuffs in the right hand came off, and the left handcuffs were taken a minute longer. Soon Lawrence dropped the handcuffs. Chinese handcuffs and leg cuffs are designed according to the size of the Chinese. And this tall Lawrence is a torture. Although the handcuffs were removed, the shackles could not be undone.

If it were European leg cuffs, he would still have a way to do it. But Asians are generally thin, and their cuffs are tighter, and the cuffs are close to Lawrence's stout feet, which frustrates his idea of lifting the shackles.

It's okay, I can do it. Lawrence cheered himself up, and he slowly crawled into the hole he had dug out and out from under the big rock. After a while, he appeared outside the cave without making a sound.

Lawrence endured the pain, slowly lay on the ground, and moved to the mouth of the cave, he quietly looked out as he pricked up his ears. He didn't believe that these people would be able to stay focused twenty-four hours a day. Especially at night, when everything was quiet, even the most elite marines of the British Empire, as far as he knew, could not do that. He waited there for about half an hour, but he didn't see any movement on the other side, after all, it was too far away, and it was dark again. Still, he heard the sound of a changing of the guard below, and a slight movement of the changing of the guard above the cave.

Will have to wait a little longer. For a period of time before and after the changing of the guard, at least half an hour, these people were still very vigilant. Lawrence lay on the ground, enduring the tickling underneath and on his fingers, and only scratched it when he couldn't bear it anymore. In addition to this, outside the cave, the sweat on his body attracted some unknown bugs to crawl around on him. This added to Lawrence's concerns.

But the good news is that it's the end of October. There weren't a lot of mosquitoes, and even if they were, they were kept back by the dust on his exposed skin. He had expected it before he came out of the cave, so he sweated and smeared a thin layer of dirt on his body.

After about an hour or so, Lawrence moved his body slightly. Now he was ready to run away, but the most troublesome thing was the shackles on his feet. The shackles make a crisp crashing sound after a quick movement, and in this silent night, it will be as bright as thunder.

Lawrence took off his shirt and tied the leg cuffs and chains to reduce contact between the chains. In this way, collisions with each other can be prevented.

After tying it up, Lawrence tied the dead knot. Then he slowly stood up against the cave wall, and stuck his head against the wall, and he stuck his head out to look at the wall outside.

Outside the cave, there is a rope ladder leading to the bottom. But escaping through the rope ladder is the stupidest thing to do, because this is the camp of these people below. The protection of the camp was definitely not something that Lawrence could handle with his handcuffs. And when he gets down, he may not be able to deal with the guards below.

So go from above. After the cliff is up, it is the mountain. Walking down from the top of the mountain, it will be much faster, and the so-called difficulty in going up the mountain is easy to go down. There's one more problem here, though. If you climb up, you will inevitably hit some rocks, which may also alarm the guards below.

Lawrence carefully looked upward, calculating in his mind. It took him a while to find a way up the road. However, it may not be successful, because the field of vision is limited in the dark night, and the top cannot be seen at all. And the problem of falling stones also exists. But at this point, I have no choice but to go on.

Lawrence relented, reached out and grabbed a raised rock, and slowly stepped on the bulge in the ground with both feet. Fortunately, this place has not been developed by the people, and there are still some flowers and trees on the cliffs. This provided a foothold for Lawrence's ascent. But the sparse stones fell.

Luckily, the guards below didn't give any warning, and it seems that they haven't noticed it yet.

Lawrence rejoiced as he continued to climb up. At this moment, Lawrence was very grateful to his instructor for training him, and he struggled to crawl, not knowing that after a few hours, the stars in the sky had disappeared, and the oblique moon had become faint, as if it would disappear at any moment.

Lawrence knew it would be dawn soon. He climbed to the top of the cliff. The whole process went unexpectedly very smoothly.

Just because you're on top doesn't mean you're safe. He remembered that one day when Hu was chatting with someone at the door, he mentioned that there were people guarding the top of the cliff, and there were people patrolling it. While patrolling at night is unlikely, the guards can still cause harm to his safety. So after reaching the top of the cliff, he immediately crawled up, and searched everywhere by the moonlight.

At night, the cries of all kinds of insects, and the rustle of trees in the wind. Other than that, there is not a single human being.

Lawrence knew it was a delusion, and that he was a living human being. Now is the most dangerous time. I don't know how many times, in training, they, the rookies at that time, fell to the moment of final success, and were taught a good lesson by the cunning instructors.

If you don't want to get caught, you have to be prepared. Lawrence sat up and tied his shirt a little tighter, the shackles were the biggest danger to his safety in the mountains and forests. Once that was done, he fumbled around to find a thicker stick that could be used as a weapon for the time being. Then he followed the path he had just observed which was convenient for him to walk in such a situation.

No way, the shackles on the feet are too troublesome, and there are many thorny places that you can't walk. The stuff there would be a hassle once it got wrapped around his chained clothes. He didn't have a knife on him to cut through the thorns in a short time. If he had a choice, he would not want to go to that seemingly smooth road. Because the guards are likely to be around there.

Strange to say, along the way, although he stumbled, he actually walked out of the most terrible cliff. And found a way down the mountain.

The way down the mountain was in sight, but Lawrence didn't dare to take it. This is an intelligence training base that Hu values very much. It shouldn't be sparsely defended like this. And the way down the hill that appeared at this time alerted Lawrence. Maybe the danger is on this road, and there may be a guard at some point on this road who is sneering at this side.

Lawrence sneered, do you think it's hard to get me with such a little difficulty? He turned and went in the other direction, following the path down the hill, and felt forward softly. Although he walked very slowly because of the leg cuffs. But when a blood-red sun appeared in the sky, Lawrence finally got to his place, and he saw the guard. One slept soundly in a tree. One was lying in the grass and didn't know what he was thinking. The distance between the two is a bit far. It's a bit difficult to get these two people silently. But this did not bother the elite agent, who made a short bow on the way. Although the advantageous firing range does not exceed a meter. But it's enough.

Lawrence sneaked over first. When he was almost behind the man, he pounced on him, only to see the man turn his head suddenly. The man's eyes were not a little surprised, but playful.

Lawrence was about to choke the man's neck, but was knocked to the side by the man's punch.

Finished! Lawrence fell to the ground, but his eyes caught a glimpse of several pairs of feet standing in front of his head. Where did these people come from?

"Mr. Lawrence, you have disappointed me so much."
