[Zhuge Ke came to power]

Sun Hong has always been at odds with Zhuge Ke, and he was afraid of being suppressed and punished, so he blocked the news of Sun Quan's death in an attempt to fake the emperor's edict to get rid of Zhuge Ke. Sun Jun informed Zhuge Ke of these circumstances, and Zhuge Ke asked Sun Hong to discuss the matter and kill Sun Hong at the seat, so he put on mourning clothes and announced the news of Sun Quan's death.

After Sun Liang succeeded to the throne, Zhuge Ke was the Taifu, Teng Yin was the general of Wei and the general was the part-time scholar, the general Lu Dai was the great Sima, and Lu Yi was the right general. In the first year of Jianxing (252), Zhuge Ke recruited manpower in Dongxing to rebuild the previously unfinished embankment, which attracted Cao Wei's crusade, and the battle ended with Sun Wu's complete victory, Zhuge Ke as the commander, and his prestige rose to a higher level, and it seemed that everything began to develop in a good direction. Sun Liang, the lord of Wu, also made Zhuge Ke the marquis of Yangdu, and added the prime minister, Jing, and Yangzhou pastor, and supervised the Chinese and foreign military.

In the second year of Jianxing (253), Zhuge Ke was ready to attack Wei again, and was opposed by the ministers, but Zhuge Ke insisted on going his own way, insisting on the Northern Expedition, but hindered in Hefei New City, was defeated by the Wei army, and was finally forced to retreat, Zhuge Ke mobilized more than 200,000 troops in this battle, Sun Wu suffered a heavy loss, Zhuge Ke did not regret it afterwards, but lived in Jiangzhu for a month peacefully, and then wanted to go to Xunyang to go to Tunken, until the imperial court summoned him back to send the edict one after another, he slowly led the troops back. From then on, the people were greatly disappointed in Zhuge Ke, and resentment began to arise.

On the one hand, Zhuge Ke was originally a supporter of Sun He, and he also had plans to move the capital to Wuchang after coming to power, and he was also the uncle of Sun He's concubine Zhang, and he also had some contact with them, so Zhuge Ke may have been ready to welcome Sun He and abolish the young Sun Liang at that time, so Zhuge Ke wanted to establish greater military exploits to establish prestige and ensure that he could succeed in the future.

In August of the same year, Zhuge Ke returned to Jianye, and immediately summoned Sun He, the secretary of the Chinese book, and shouted: "How dare you issue edicts arbitrarily? Sun Hei was silent, feared to quit, and resigned from his official position. Zhuge Ke checked the list, and all the officials at all levels who were selected and appointed by Cao Zhuozhun after his expedition were dismissed and re-elected. Since then, Zhuge Ke has become more and more majestic, and he blames people at every turn, and the people who meet him hold their breath. He also changed the guards and used people close to him to serve as the guards, and ordered the troops to be ready to attack Qingzhou and Xuzhou.

[Sun Jun's coup d'état excludes Zhuge ]

In October of the second year of Jianxing (253), Sun Jun and Sun Liang, the lord of Wu, made a plan to invite Zhuge Ke to the banquet with wine. The night before, Zhuge Ke was restless and couldn't sleep all night, and there were several strange things in the house, so he had doubts in his heart. When it was time to meet him, Zhuge Ke parked outside the palace gate and did not enter.

Sun Jun had already ambushed the soldiers in the tent at this time, worried that Zhuge Ke would not come in on time and the matter would be revealed. So, he came out to greet Zhuge Ke and said, "If you are not feeling well, you can come to the court again in the future, and I will go and tell Your Majesty." "I want to use this to test Zhuge Ke. Zhuge Ke said: "I will try my best to go in and see you." At this time, Zhang Yue, Zhu En, and others secretly wrote a note to him, which read: "Today's banquet is unusual, I'm afraid there will be changes." ”

Zhuge Ke saw it and was about to return, but met Taichang Teng Yin at the gate. Zhuge Ke said: "I suddenly had abdominal pain and couldn't see it. However, Teng Yin was concealed and didn't know Sun Jun's plan, so he said to Zhuge Ke: "Your Majesty hasn't seen you since you came back, and today is hosting a banquet for you, you have arrived at the door, and you should try your best to see you." Zhuge Ke hesitated for a while, saw his in-laws say this, and went back again, took his sword to the hall, and bowed to Lord Wu and sat down.

The waiter brought the wine, but Zhuge Ke hesitated not to drink. Sun Jun said: "If your illness has not been cured, you should have the medicine and wine you take regularly, and you can take it out and drink it yourself." Drinking the wine he brought, Zhuge Ke's mood settled down. After several rounds of drinking, Sun Liang, the lord of Wu, got up and went back to the inner hall, Sun Jun pretended to go to the toilet, took off his long clothes, changed into short clothes, and came out and shouted: "There is an edict to arrest Zhuge Ke!" Zhuge Ke was startled and wanted to draw his sword, but before it was unsheathed, Sun Jun's knives had already been cut down one after another. Zhang Yue cut Sun Jun from the side, injuring his left hand, and Sun Jun also cut off his right arm. The guards rushed up to the temple. Sun Jun said: "It was Zhuge Ke who wanted to be killed, and now he is dead." So he commanded the sword to be sheathed, and the palace was cleaned, and the wine was continued.

Zhuge Ke's eldest son is Zhuge Xuan, who is a cavalry captain, who was previously convicted of colluding with King Lu and was poisoned by Zhuge Ke. the second son, Zhuge Zhu, is the captain of Changshui; The youngest son, Zhuge Jian, was an infantry captain, and when he heard that Zhuge Ke had been killed, he fled with his mother. Sun Jun sent people to chase and kill Zhuge Zhu in Baidu, Zhuge Jian wanted to go north to Wei, and after traveling thousands of miles, he was captured by the pursuing soldiers. Zhuge Ke was wiped out by the three clans, and his nephew Zhang Zhen, the marquis of the capital, and Zhu En, the permanent servant, were killed.

After Zhuge Ke's death, Zang Jun, a native of Linhuai, pleaded for Zhuge to be buried, Sun Liang and Sun Jun obeyed, and instructed his subordinates to find Zhuge Ke's body for burial.

According to the "Zhilin" record, when Zhuge Ke was summoned by Sun Quan to set off from Wuchang, the general Lu Dai warned him: "Now is the time of great difficulties in the world, I hope you must think about everything ten times before doing it." Zhuge Ke said: "In the past, Ji Wenzi thought twice before acting, and Confucius said: 'Just think twice'." And you made me think ten times, obviously because I think I am inferior! Lu Dai was speechless, and people thought he was speechless at the time.

Zhuge Ke had already shown his intelligence when he was young, but it could still be seen that he was a little flattering with his flexible speech at that time. Zhuge Ke's main achievement in the Sun Quan period was to recruit troops in Danyang and get those Shanyue, which was not a big credit to this matter, but because everyone thought that Zhuge Ke would not succeed at the beginning, and did not expect him, so after the reversal, everyone's impression of Zhuge Ke has been directly changed.
