The refugees did not know who the soldiers were shouting at them along the way, but the lure of food made it impossible for anyone to trek to Bossaso, and even the group of refugees who were already on the verge of reaching Bossaso turned around and went to the base under the guidance of propaganda vehicles.

There are also many temporary armed aid stations along the road to replenish the physical strength of those refugees who are almost unable to support themselves.

When they arrived, each family was given a tent to live in and clean drinking water and enough food to feed them, depending on their ethnic group or village.

This was unimaginable to the refugees in the past, some said it was the kingdom of heaven, others said it was a gift from Allah.

While the refugees were singing, another piece of news came.

It's amazing news that every family can get a job that pays no less than ten dollars a month when they become residents here.

In this country where refugees can be avoided as much as possible, there are people who recruit refugees as residents, instead of refugees relying on them, such unprecedented news makes many refugees really unimaginable.

Especially for work, the monthly salary of ten US dollars, this is not a developed country, the employment rate here is not even 1 percent in Somalia, ten dollars is not a lot at all, equal to 70,000 Somali shillings, a little thrift is enough for a family of five to live a month.

Those who serve as soldiers under the Shili and the government are only ten dollars a month. Being a soldier in Somalia is not about training all day, it's about being ready to fight all the time. For the ten dollars a month, it's basically earning money with your life.

And for the ten dollars, the people who want to be soldiers can go to the sea. Therefore, this news, for these refugees, is no less than the gospel that came down from heaven.

However, to become a resident here, there are no requirements at all.

First of all, you must be in good health and not carry any diseases. Anyone who wants to be a resident of this area must go through several medical tests and have their entire body disinfected. In this way, they can say goodbye to their temporary tents, receive new clothes, and live in permanent shelters within the walls.

In fact, this is not the first medical examination of these refugees at the base, as they have undergone a medical examination as early as when they are living in these makeshift tents.

Poor physical fitness made Li Lan pay a lot of energy and a lot of base funds for this.

Especially those children, none of them belong to the healthy qualifications, not to mention thinness, and few of them have reached the level of health. As a result, the camp was divided into two parts, one serving as a temporary ward and the other as a place for the refugees.

The 10 doctors in the field hospital had no personal time since they began to accept refugees. To this end, Farah also used his energy in Bossaso to send more than a dozen qualified doctors to the base.

Compared with the lack of doctors, medicines are more scarce in Somalia than doctors, even a small bottle of anti-inflammatory drugs, its price is more than 100 times more expensive than the outside world. And in many cases, medicines are monopolized by warlords and governments, and civilians cannot buy them, even if they have money.

If it weren't for the fact that some basic medicines could be produced in the base, I am afraid that Li Lan would have a headache for this, because even Farah would not be able to get the medicines that could meet the needs. However, the base is not a panacea, and can only produce some simple medicines, such as anti-inflammatory drugs, glucose, cold medicines, antitoxins...... And so on and so forth. These refugees came from all over the world, and if Li Lan wanted to turn them into residents of his own territory, he would have to go through strict screening. Medical testing is to prevent people with symptoms such as AIDS from entering the territory.

This is very important, in Africa, it is very easy to find an AIDS patient, because Africa is the hardest hit area of AIDS, accounting for nearly 10% of the entire population, but the number of people living with AIDS and HIV accounts for more than 70% of the world. At present, AIDS has become the "number one killer" in Africa, and the number of people who die from AIDS every year is 10 times higher than the number of people who die from wars and natural disasters.

It has been proven many times that the rapid spread of AIDS is closely linked to poverty. The poorer the country, the more and more concentrated the number of people living with AIDS. Then again, Somalia does not have many people living with AIDS, and it can be called a very polite country. Its infection rate is a full three percentage points less than Somalia's neighbor Ethiopia's 3.8 percent. It can be said that it is one of the countries with the fewest AIDS patients in the whole of Africa, the same as the 0.8% of Spain, a developed country in the West. This is also due to the Somali tight control over the relationship between men and women, which is the first benefit.

However, Li Lan did not dare to be careless because of this, AIDS is one thing, but in the case of general unhealth, there is no AIDS, and other infectious diseases, such as yellow fever, malaria, and other high-risk infectious diseases that are common in Africa, must be controlled.
