Section 28: Judgments (2nd Update)
Arrold walked in through the side door on the other side of the courtroom, and he saw Dylan on the paint-painted judge's stand. Pen ~ fun ~ Pavilion www.biquge.info Matt, a nobleman who was ostracized in the Duchy of Mason because of his hunchback, was sitting high in the judge's seat at this time, and two men stood below him, and the audience seats were full of people, many of whom actually had nothing to do with it, but just had an attitude of watching the excitement.
"Based on your knowledge of the case, Lord Lawrence, did you accuse this civilian of killing your maid?" Dylan. Matt said to a squire standing on the left.
"Yes, Your Excellency, this despicable commoner killed my maid in one night, and I am sure that he killed the killer because he tried to force my maid to fail, and I beseech your Excellency, Your Excellency, to execute this murderer immediately." The middle-aged low-ranking aristocratic squire stood with his head held high on Dylan. In front of Matt, he pointed at a young man and shouted accusations.
"What do you have to say about that?" Dylan. Matt didn't answer, he turned to the accused civilian and asked.
"My lord, I really don't know what's going on, Bonnie and I are truly in love, and we originally agreed to meet at the back of the warehouse, but when the night came, I found that she was dead, so I was so frightened that I ran away immediately, but I was caught by Lord Lawrence's servants, and I was beaten with several sticks, Lord Judge, I was really wronged." The young man pleaded.
"This young man is so pitiful, maybe the murderer is someone else." At this time, the people in the audience seats talked one after another, and suddenly there was a buzz in the courtroom.
"Silence." Dylan. Matt picked up the magic hammer on the table and struck it a few times, and Bang Bang's voice suddenly stopped the people in the courtroom from talking.
"Your Excellency, please don't believe him, this guy named Thomas has always been a troublemaker in the country, and he is usually idle, how could Bonnie like such a guy." Squire Lawrence angrily yelled at the young defendant.
"Woo, Lord Lawrence, I'm really wronged, you can't hang me because I stole a few apples from your orchard!" Thomas turned pale with fright, and he knelt down to Lawrence and Dylan. Matt said.
"Tsk, that's pathetic." The people in the audience looked at poor Thomas and couldn't help but sigh with emotion, but the plaintiff was a noble squire, and it was not good for Thomas from that side, and many soft-hearted girls looked at poor but good-looking Thomas and were secretly worried.
"Lord Lawrence, this court's judgment pays attention to evidence, you accused him of murder, what evidence can you provide to this court?" Dylan. Matt frowned as he said to Lawrence.
"Yes." Lawrence waved behind him, and a servant stepped forward and presented a silver knife, which looked like a cleaver.
"Hmm, a cleaver?" Dylan. Matt took the knife and frowned.
"I'm just a commoner working in a dyeing factory, how can I have a cleaver that only nobles have?" Thomas cried out loudly.
"Yes, the cleaver made of silver must be owned by the nobles, how can an apprentice in a dyeing workshop have it?" There was another buzzing noise in the auditorium.
"But it was indeed found on Bonnie, and it must have been my servant whom he killed with this knife." Lawrence immediately shouted to the people in the audience.
The two of them have their own opinions, even Dylan. A wise man like Matt was also in a predicament, and he repeatedly played with the silver knife, without saying a word, and Arrod, who was watching the trial in the small hall next to him, couldn't help but have an idea, and beckoned to the clerk who stood respectfully beside him.
"Lord Duke, what do you command?" The clerk hurriedly stepped forward and asked with a flattering smile.
"Come here, I have something for you to convey to Dylan. Matt. Arold whispered a few words in the clerk's ear and commanded him.
"Yes, I'll go right away." The clerk hurriedly walked out of the side hall and came to Dylan. Matt's side conveyed Arjod's words to Dylan. Matt.
"Oh?" Dylan. Matt listened to his clerk's words, and looked at the other party in surprise, he didn't believe that this was the clerk's idea, but after thinking about it carefully, he felt that it made a lot of sense, so he cheered up and looked at the two people under the judge.
"I ask you, Lord Lawrence, how did you find out that he killed the maid?" Dylan. Matt asked.
"Oh, it was my groom who found out, because this boy frightened my horses as he walked through the stables." Lawrence vs. Dylan. Matt said.
"So, Thomas, why are you in Lord Lawrence's manor?" Dylan. Matt then asked.
"Because, because Lord Lawrence's wife ordered some dyed cloth, I went to deliver it." Thomas hurriedly spoke, and Master Lawrence agreed with him.
"So, how did you find out that Bonnie died in the warehouse?" Dylan. Matt asked.
"I, after I finished dyeing the cloth, I saw that it was getting late, so I wanted to find a warehouse to rest for the night before leaving, but at the entrance of the warehouse, I found Bonnie lying on the haystack with a knife stuck in her body." Thomas said.
"Mr. Lawrence, do you have torches or candles in your warehouse?" Dylan. Matt asked.
"No, of course not, torches and candles are too expensive, and no one usually goes to the warehouse, so why should I use those things anywhere." Lawrence hurriedly shook his head and said.
"So, Thomas, how did you find Bonnie dead in the warehouse without torches and candles?" Dylan. Matt then asked.
"I, I, I saw it through the moonlight outside the warehouse, and the moonlight was bright." Thomas suddenly said with a weak heart.
"Nonsense, that day was a dark moon, there was no moon at all, how did you see it without a moon?" Dylan. Matt picked up the hammer and slammed it on the table, making a loud noise, shouting at Thomas.
"I, I, I, by the way, I found out when I went into the warehouse, yes, that's right." Thomas was completely panicked, and he looked left and right, repeating the words in his mouth.
"One will find it outside the warehouse, and the other will be found when you enter it, you must be lying, there is only one murderer without asking, and that is you Thomas." Dylan. Matt raised his hammer and pointed it at Thomas, and said to him.
"I, I." Thomas's face was pale, and his lips twitched as he stared at the high bench, unable to speak.
Dylan. After Matt broke through Thomas's psychological defense, he quickly continued to question, and the whole case surfaced, it turned out that Bonnie did have a lover, but it was not Thomas, but Master Lawrence's groom, and it was obvious that there were two people lying in the whole case, that is, groom and Thomas.
While Bonnie is waiting for her lover in the warehouse, she is bumped into by Thomas, who is staying in the warehouse, who tries to assault Bonnie, but kills Bonnie in a struggle, and when he escapes, he bumps into the groom, and is caught by the groom.
"I see." The people in the audience looked at the dazzling trial and were immediately fascinated, although it was a very simple case, but it was taken by Dylan. Matt found out through interrogation, did not wronged a good person, nor did he let go of a bad person, which made everyone admire Dylan very much. Matt's skills make him more confident in the justice of the principality.
"Lord Duke." After the trial of this case, Dylan. Matt hurriedly walked out of the judge's seat, he staggered to the small hall, saw Arrod who was already smiling and waiting, and hurriedly stepped forward to salute.
"Dylan. Matt had a hard time. Arold smiled and nodded, and said to the chief justice he had appointed.
"No, these are all the words you brought to me, Lord Duke, otherwise how could I be stupid and think of this point of the Obscure Moon! Also, I would like to ask you, Your Majesty, that you were not able to meet you in person when you returned from the royal court of Saxony. "Dylan. Matt shook his head and said to Arold with a wry smile.
"Don't say that, I've seen you work very hard, and everything else is a little thing." Arold Jean Dylan. Matt sat down and said to the justice.
"Thank you, Lord Duke." Looking at the reasonable Arold in front of him, Dylan. Matt couldn't help but feel sour in his heart, and quickly wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes with his hand, in the court of the Duchy of Mason, no matter how hard he tried to show his talent, but because of his natural disability, he could only be reduced to the existence of a court clown, but under Arrod, the young duke took a fancy to his talent and handed over the most important judgment of the lord to himself, and this kind of kindness was not something he could repay anyway.
