About Writing:

I have read a lot of novels, I read stories written by others, and I have experienced the joys and sorrows of others. The pen "Fun" Pavilion www.biquge.info has always played the role of a bystander. It's just that I never put pen to paper.

I think everyone who loves words has such a dream in their hearts: with their own talent, write a novel that everyone will like, and then become famous all over the world, and everyone will know you wherever you go. But as Lin Peiyuan said, "Anyone who is determined to write is driven away by anxiety, which is like a snake that devours its own tail." "So, I'm constantly chased by anxiety.

I've always wanted to try to write a novel, but I haven't dared to do so. Although I have read a lot of books and written some poems, essays, novels, etc. in my four years of Chinese department, I have always been afraid that my immature pen will not be able to write the world I want to depict.

Suddenly, one day I saw a phrase: "justdoit." "It's that simple, it's that straightforward. As long as you have an idea, be brave enough to try.

So, I started trying to write novels. Because I prefer history and the Tang Dynasty, I position myself as a novel: to write a historical novel about the Tang Dynasty.

I want my novels to be lighthearted, funny and rigorous, without losing the sense of history. It can be a colorful picture or a refreshing summer ice cream. I hope that in the future, I can show my novels to my family, teachers, and friends. I hope that everyone will have a little aftertaste while having fun after reading the novel. So I'm very satisfied, that's what I'm working for.

When I started writing, I found it difficult. The plot of the characters, the suspense of the story, the historical background, and the style of the language must all be considered.

Because when writing historical novels, history must seek truth, which is an absolute law; And the author of the novel has complete freedom in the treatment of the characters, which is also an absolute criterion. So I'm constantly torn between the virtual and the real.

Because when writing historical novels, you first have to understand the clothing, food, housing and transportation of the people of that dynasty; know the price level of that dynasty, the entertainment of the people, the names of each other; to experience their thoughts and feelings; to understand the country's political, economic, military, cultural, foreign policy, etc. You have to put yourself in the environment, you can only write well if you have a comprehensive understanding of this era, and I find that my knowledge is far from enough.

So I went to the library to look up the materials while I was contemplating.

I read "Tang Dynasty Crossing Guide" and know that the life of the people in the Tang Dynasty was colorful; I flipped through the "Chronicles of the Kitasato" to understand the living conditions of the singers at that time; I read "The History of Japan-Chinese Exchanges" and knew about the situation of Japan's envoys to the Tang Dynasty during that period......

Some historical materials and poems about the Tang Dynasty: from political economy to cultural diplomacy, from emperors and generals to peddlers and pawns, from astronomy to geography, from macro to micro...... I read them all carefully.

The vivid characters in the book began to appear in my mind: the brave general, the amorous beauty, the drunken poet, the wandering wanderer......

I seem to hear: the heroism of Jin Ge Iron Horse, the resentment of Qiang Di Yang Liu, the pathos of holding hands and tearful eyes, and the noise of Chang'an wine shop......

I seem to see: the magnificence of the lonely smoke of the desert, the prosperity of the Li Palace in the clouds, the shyness of the maple leaves at the head of the Xunyang River, and the spectacular pear blossoms blowing all over the ground in the spring breeze overnight......

In the process of organizing materials, it is also a learning process. Thanks to the historical books, poems and beautiful legends, these magical and distant past have been passed down.

I try to restore the survival and development of a modern person in ancient times, there will be collisions, confusion, surprises, and successes along the way. He established family, friendship, and love with the ancients, and the protagonist Xie Ao is also slowly growing up along the way......

About the Protagonist:

"Wild grass and flowers by the Vermilion Bird Bridge, the sunset at the mouth of Wuyi Lane; In the old days, Wang Xie Tang Qianyan flew into the homes of ordinary people. ”

Every time I read this poem, my heart is always filled with infinite melancholy.

Langya Wang's and Chenjun Xie's heyday in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties for more than 300 years, known as the top gate valve. However, since the Sui and Tang dynasties, the Langya Wang clan and the Taiyuan Wang clan are still prosperous, while the Chenjun Xie clan has gradually been submerged in the long river of history, which makes people sigh.

By chance, I saw a rubbing of "The Epitaph of Xie Wen, the Late Sui Dynasty of the Tang Dynasty". The owner of the inscription, Xie Wen, was a general of the Sui Dynasty, born in a wealthy family, the three generations of Yuyi, born Emperor Fang, and looked at Gaozhouli.

However, there is no record in the history books of such a person with a high official position and great merit, and if the epitaph was not discovered, his story would have been buried underground. Therefore, I believe that in the Tang Dynasty, there are still outstanding talents in the Chen Jun Xie family.

The protagonist of the novel, Xie Ao, lives in the Tang Dynasty as a descendant of Xie Wen, and he will continue to write about the glory of the Xie clan of Chenjun......
