Another example is desizing, in order to weave smoothly, textile mills often sizing on the warp yarn to improve strength and wear resistance.

The slurry on the grey cloth will not only affect the water absorption of the fabric, but also seriously affect the quality of the colored cloth, and will also consume more dyes, so the slurry on the grey cloth must be removed before infection, and this process is called desizing. At this time, there were only two desizing methods of alkali and acid, and in later generations, there were two desizing methods of biological enzymes and oxidants.

Then there is cooking and bleaching, and later generations rarely use a separate process, but often combine the three processes of desizing, cooking and bleaching, which saves time and improves efficiency, and can reduce the damage of acids and oxidants to the fabric. At this time, the demarcation of the three processes is clear. Of course, the three processes are combined into one, which requires accurate proportions of various chemical raw materials and maintenance under certain conditions. And this is difficult for Qin Chuan, a graduate of dyeing and finishing.

The dyeing process may seem simple, but it is actually more difficult than the other steps.

Dyeing is generally enough to use a rolling mill, but if you take into account the stability of different dyes at different temperatures, the control of steam and the adjustment of the pressure of the rolling mill is a very delicate work.
