(Thank you to Dameng, Chubby, Hammer S, and book friends who silently support.) It's the trough of this book, and I'm sticking with you)

The amount of information in this sentence and the impact on Zhang Fang are even stronger than Li Ren saying that he is a descendant of Li Ling.
Are these Udan fragments descendants of the Han army? Is it possible? If you think about it, it's possible.
After the bloody battle of Junji Mountain, of the 5,000 Han army, only more than 400 people survived the siege, and the rest of the Han army was nothing more than three situations: one was killed in battle, the other was missing, and the third was captured with the same fate as the main general Li Ling.
According to Lin Tianci, there were as many as 1,000 Han soldiers and soldiers who were captured that year, many of whom were scarred, and the living environment of the captives was harsh, and nearly half of them died of injuries and diseases one after another. In the end, less than half survived.
There are two destinations for these hundreds of surviving Han soldiers: one is to break up and integrate into the Xiongnu army, and the other is to become Li Ling's guard. The former, as a scattered individual, eventually disappeared in the long river of history, while the latter moved north with Li Ling to Jiankun (present-day Kyrgyzstan), and later became a branch of the Tang Dynasty.
In 648 A.D., a tributary group of the Tang Dynasty, led by its chieftain Lost Boqu Azhan, arrived in Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, claiming to be a descendant of Li Ling and wanted to recognize the relationship with the Heavenly Khan. This seemingly outrageous request also has a basis, because Li Ling was a native of Chengji, Longxi (now Jingning, Gansu), and the ancestors of the emperors of the Tang Dynasty were also from Chengji, Longxi. At that time, most of the people were red-haired and green-eyed, while the people who claimed to be descendants of Li Ling were black-haired and black-eyed, which obviously had the characteristics of being mixed with the yellow race, and indeed had a certain degree of credibility.
In 708 A.D., when the envoy sent an envoy to visit the Tang Dynasty, Tang Zhongzong could be confirmed, he said: "The country is the same clan as me, not it." โ
Of course, this is a later story, but judging from this historical material, it can also prove the existence of the descendants of the Han army from one side, after all, Li Ling alone cannot create a race.
This group of Yaks later destroyed the Uighur Khanate and established its own khanate, but it is not in vain to be called "the descendants of Li Ling".
And the other descendant of the Li family should not be underestimated.
Zhizhi, who built a tent in Jiankun, killed the Han envoy a few years later, and in order to escape the revenge of the Han Dynasty, the Hu clan moved west. The descendants of Li Ling (South Branch) did not accompany him, but stayed in Mobei. "Hu vulgar takes his mother's name as his surname", and his descendants have taken the surname Tuoba because of this. After that, the Tuoba family gradually multiplied into a small tribe, and intermarried with the Xianbei people, and finally formed the Tuoba Xianbei tribe. Tuoba Xianbei can be said to be the most impure branch of the Xianbei people. However, it was this branch that later unified the chaotic Yellow River valley and laid the foundation for the later Tang Dynasty.
Of course, at that time, the Han soldiers could not imagine the coquettishness of their descendants in the later generations, and they were still fighting for their own survival. During the years that Li Ling was king of Jiankun, there was a split in his guard.
At that time, there were several subordinates of the former captain Han Yannian (Li Ling's deputy general, who died in battle, and was posthumously named Anhou), who lamented the death of their old boss and were unwilling to be servants of the Huns, so they united a group of like-minded Han soldiers and soldiers to flee from Jiankun. To the north of Hujie, it built its own ministry and became an independent country.
This country is the smallest city-state among the 36 countries in the Western Regions recorded in the Book of Han - Wu Zhi Li (Wu Dan Branch).
"Wu is greedy and leaves the country, and the king rules in Lougu. Go to Chang'an for three hundred and eighty miles. Forty-one households, two hundred and thirty-one mouths, and fifty-seven victorious soldiers. One assistant and one lieutenant on the left and right. It is connected to Shan Huan in the east, Ji Mi in the south, and Wusun in the west. - "The Book of Han: The Biography of Wu Greed Leaving the Country"
It is simply a miracle that such a small country can exist in the Western Regions, where the weak eat the strong, and not be devoured by the Huns who are raging everywhere. And this miracle came about because of Li Ling's maintenance - yes, Li Ling did not blame his soldiers for their defection. People have their own aspirations, and in this strange wasteland, they are from the same source, and they should help each other.
Of course, the fact that Wudan was able to survive in a foreign land surrounded by wolves was not only supported by Li Ling's protection, but also by his own strength.
What is the quality of the soldiers under Li Ling? When Li Ling asked Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty for war, he once said: "The ministers who will be on the border are all Jingchu warriors and strange swordsmen, and they can strangle the tiger and shoot hits." I am willing to be a team and go to the south of Langan Mountain to divide the army into soldiers, and not to order the second division of the army. โ
Obviously, this is a strong army with strong individual combat power, and after forming an army, it can form an extraordinary combat effectiveness. This also explains why in the bloody battle of Junji Mountain, when there was such a huge disparity between the enemy and our forces, he was still brave and fearless, and fought to the last breath.
After these Han warriors who had survived the bloody battle established Wudan, the country was small but its combat power was strong. Some of the small tribes around it, even though they were ten times more numerous, were beaten to the ground. And some large states, such as Jimi and Wusun, are also unwilling to provoke the king of the right school for the sake of a small Wudan fragmentation. It can be said that Wudan is fragmented like a hard walnut, small is small, but it is not cost-effective to eat hard. It is precisely for this reason that this small pocket country of Udan, fragmented, can survive in the cracks.
Li Ling disregarded his past suspicions and was willing to shelter Wudan's fragmentation. Similarly, if the Jiankun Li clan is in trouble, the Wudan branch will also do its best to help. For nearly a year, the two sides have been tacitly adhering to this unwritten agreement, no matter how many generations have passed, the promise remains the same.
This is the reason why Udan fought to save Li Ren from the dead.
When Zhizhi attacked Jiankun that year, Wudan Zhili also sent troops to help the country. After being defeated, he lost most of his "national strength" and suffered a great loss of vitality, so he had to move around to avoid disaster. Finally, he settled in the north of Jimi and south of Wusun, thousands of miles away from Jiankun. After that, Zhizhi moved westward and evacuated Jiankun, and the Wudan people did not return to their hometown.
Although the two countries are far away, they are still connected by blood, and after many inquiries, they learned that the Li family still has descendants, so they sent Cao Xiong, Lin Tianci, and Chu Liusan to come to the rescue.
After listening to Lin Tianci's story, Zhang Fang understood why Cao Xiong and Lin Tianci, one is the right lieutenant and the other is the mansion, their titles are terrifying, but they don't have the appearance of high-ranking officials, they are the commanders of the light pole. I can't figure out that the "troops" at hand are more than the dignified "right captain" Cao Xiongli.
In the decades before Wudan moved south, he had been intermarrying with the Jiankun Li Guards to maintain the purity of the Han lineage as much as possible, and their descendants naturally used Han names. Maybe after a hundred years, they will eventually be Hu, but at least for now, they still know where their roots are, and they stubbornly guard them.
Keeping the name and etiquette of the Han is to keep the last bottom line.

PS: The historical record is "Wu Greed", "greed" is depreciative, and the word "่จพ" is difficult to read, so it is renamed "Wu Dan Fragmentation" with homophony. Its birthplace is in Manas, northwest of Wulu, Mu, Qi, so there is a saying that the name of Wulu, Mu, Qi comes from the transliteration of Wu Greed.
