Chapter Seventy-Four: Flying into the Sky and Not Returning to One

People always have to die. Whether you are a wealthy merchant or a pawn of a peddler; Whether you are a dignitary or a commoner; Whether you are a Celestial Confucian, or a Snitch; Whether you are a high-ranking emperor or a groveling slave, in the end, you will inevitably die. In the face of death, everyone is equal!

However, inequality will always exist. The rich merchant may die of wine and wealth, and the peddler pawn may die of toil; Dignitaries and dignitaries may die from the delicacies of the mountains and seas, and ordinary people may die from coarse tea and light rice; Shuode Hongru may die from a book full of books, and the snitch may die from a dark arrow and a gun; The emperor who is high up in the high may die from eating too much of the elixir, and the groveling slave may die from eating too much with sticks and shackles. It turns out that death can also be divided into three, six, nine and so on! Who said that everyone is equal in the face of death?

People cannot be resurrected after death, so everyone is afraid of death. Because he was afraid of death, he prayed for immortality, so he gave birth to immortal immortals. Originally, although the legendary ethereal immortals could be immortal, they didn't seem to have much to do with the secular men and women in the rolling red dust, at most they only attracted some envy, jealousy and hatred. But Chinese immortals are always so cute, always so helpful, do you want to be immortals? Do you want to live forever? Okay, I'll help you! Ah, this is the legendary magical elixir of immortality, as long as you are destined for me, I can give it to you! Where do I live? The immortal cave heaven and earth cannot be easily revealed, so my place of residence cannot be told to you. However, I can give you a hint: the three mountains and five mountains, as long as there is a place of immortal energy, it is possible that it will become my residence. Come on, if you're lucky enough to find me before you die of exhaustion, thirst, starvation, freezing, or disease, you'll get that magic pill. Come on, what are you waiting for?

Despite the ethereal, despite the absurdity, despite the slim hope, the temptation of immortality still makes some people's hearts flutter and embark on a long road to find immortals. So, King Mu of Zhou set off and drove his carriage. King Zhou Mu, who traveled all the way through the mountains and rivers, has also been to several strange places, and seems to have met a few people who look like immortals, but he did not get what he was most looking forward to, so in the end, King Zhou Mu still died, leaving only a thin copy of "The Biography of Mu Tianzi".

Ying Zheng, who dominates the world, seems to be a little smarter, and his eyes are locked on the vast sea, because in the depths of the sea, there is the most famous fairy mountain in the legend, Yingzhou. Going to sea, it was risky, and it was very risky, especially in those days. As the king of a country, Yingzheng doesn't want to take this risk. Therefore, this absurd and dangerous task fell to Xu Fu's head. Going to sea with Xu Fu and going to the unknown world together are also 500 flower season teenagers. After Xu Fu left, Yingzheng began to wait for a long time, but even if our Mr. Qin Shi Huang looked through the autumn water, there was no news of Xu Fu. In this way, Yingzheng waited in torment day after day, suffering in waiting, and finally one day, he no longer had to wait, no longer had to suffer, because he died.

Liu Che, the heroic Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, is also majestic when it comes to seeking immortals, and no one can match it. On the road of seeking immortals, our Han Tianzi has been racing all the way, and his attitude and spiritual persistence are breathtaking. In order not to hang himself from a tree, on the issue of praying for a long life, our Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty insisted on walking on multiple legs and taking a multi-pronged approach, hoping to cast a net all over the sky and pick up fish on the spot, the east is not bright and there is still the west, the east and the west are not bright, and the south and north are not bright!

Specifically, Liu Che's tricks to pray for immortality are roughly three: first, to summon gods. In order to attract the immortals who think about it day and night, Liu Che built a lot of buildings, and the palaces and temples were built one after another, each more luxurious than the other, and one more luxurious than the other. As for how much silver was consumed in the treasury and how many innocent people were forced to die, it was not within the scope of consideration of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty at all.

Second, visit immortals. In order to have a beautiful encounter with the immortal immortals who are haunted by his dreams, Liu Che worked tirelessly and traveled between Huangshan, Mount Tai and the East China Sea, and his footprints were almost all over the famous mountains and rivers of the motherland. It's a pity that he likes immortals, but immortals don't like him very much, so Liu Che has been busy for most of his life, not to mention immortals, and he hasn't even touched a single hair of the immortals.

Third, alchemy. It turns out that the immortals are unreliable, and as for the immortal elixir in the hands of the immortals, it is even more impossible to talk about. The immortals couldn't count on it, so Liu Che had no choice but to put the treasure on the people who were close to the immortals, and at that time, they had a unified name, called Fang Shi. Fang Shi has a skill, a skill that many people envy, alchemy. There are two kinds of elixirs refined by Fang Shi that ordinary people dream of. One, of course, is the elixir of life; The other is an aphrodisiac, an aphrodisiac that makes people exuberant. Coincidentally, these two medicines are what our Mr. Liu Che likes. Therefore, Fang Shi became Liu Che's new favorite, and his status even surpassed that of Confucianism.

One after another alchemists flew to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty like flies and became Liu Che's favorite ministers, one of them named Luan Da Fangshi, and he also successfully hugged the beauty, and this beauty is not an ordinary beauty, the identity of the family is quite noble, because she has a daddy named Liu Che. Although he married the princess of the Han Dynasty, Luan Da's life was not very easy, because Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty's desire for immortality was like a mountain that weighed down the horse master. In desperation, Luan Da had no choice but to go around the East China Sea, and came back to tell his father, I have already begged the gods for you, unexpectedly, his every move was under Liu Che's surveillance, and the diorama was debunked like this, Emperor Wu of Han was very angry, and the consequences were very serious. Luan Da, a genuine colt, was beheaded by his father-in-law like this, I wonder if in another world, he can still rely on his alchemy to gain the favor of Lord Yama?

It wasn't until the end of his life that Liu Che was like his name, and he was enlightened, and said something that seemed to be very level: "In the past, I was foolish and deceived by Fang Shi, how can there be immortals in the world?" Delusional! Dieting and taking medicine can only be less sick. "Once upon a time, I was stupid and naïve, and I was deceived by those hateful alchemists. In fact, what gods are there in the world? It's just some deceitful demons and monsters. As for dieting and taking medicine, it can barely reduce some diseases. The last sentence of this passage proves that what I said earlier was wrong, at least not accurate. Liu Che is not as enlightened as his name, at most he can only be regarded as half-enlightened, because whether it is dieting or taking medicine, it can only increase the chance of getting sick, not reduce it!

Due to Liu Che's role model, more and more people were involved in the frenzy of praying for immortality, and alchemy developed by leaps and bounds. On the one hand, they were alchemizing, taking medicine, and developing on the other, and on the other hand, they also recorded the so-called research results, hoping to pass on these so-called panaceas to future generations. Liu An, the king of Huainan who was the same as Liu Che, spent a full eight chapters in his "Huainan Zi" to elaborate on the so-called alchemy. Since the Wei and Jin dynasties, the once popular Fang Shi has been transformed into a Taoist priest, and what has not changed is his obsession and enthusiasm for alchemy. "Hug Puzi Inner Chapter" and "Zhou Yi Shen Tong Deed" came out successively, and quickly became popular in the world, so that more and more so-called emperors and generals saw hope, and they began to believe that in the three-legged and two-eared Ding furnace, there must be the road to immortality that they diligently pursued. Behind the chic wearing of Dr. Wei Jinshi's wide robe is the ** torture caused by taking a large amount of Wushisan.

Dr. Wei Jinshi's enthusiasm for immortality is not worth exposing at all in front of the Tang Empire. Seeking immortals, alchemy, in them, at best, is only a game of life for self-entertainment. The Tang Empire, only in the Tang Empire, did alchemy truly become a social frenzy.
