Chapter 992: The Funeral
On December 13, 1939, the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar, the third day of the winter month, the ** Shandong Bureau, the Shandong Military Region, and the Shandong Anti-Japanese Democratic Senate held a funeral for Zeng Zhongsheng in Dadian.
The main mourning hall is located in the wilderness outside Dadian Town, from the mountain moved two branches of the big pine tree to make the gate, the two pine trees are connected with several long pine branches to form the lintel, the lintel is made of a banner made of a whole white cloth, the banner is Liu Yimin's strong and powerful big characters: "The heroic wind runs through the sun and the moon, and the mighty spirit is full of the world", in the middle hangs Tang Xingying, Zhao Xiaoman with a big flower woven of white silk, and the door frame on both sides is pasted with the elegiac couplet written by Liu Yimin: "The towering trees of Méng Mountain will always be a monument, and Yishui Xiaoxiao sends endless sorrows."
Entering the gate, wooden stakes were planted on both sides, and white cloth was used as a curtain to make a memorial wall, on which were written the elegy of Liu Yimin, Luo Ronghuan, Cai Zhong, Zhu Rui, Guo Hongtao, Li Yu and other leaders and the memorial words of the cadres and soldiers who came to mourn and the representatives of all walks of life in the base area.
The mourning hall is a canopy made of steel pipes, and the green sè military canvas canopy is covered with it. Above the main entrance is still a white sè satin flower, on the banner is written Liu Yimin's inscription "Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng Memorial Memorial Hall" several big characters, on both sides are ** Central Committee, xxx, departments directly under the Central Committee, the Eighth Route Army Headquarters, the General Political Department of the Eighth Route Army, the 115th Division, the 120th Division, the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the Independent Division, the Garrison Division, the Security Division, the New Fourth Army Army Branch, the Shaanxi Anti-Japanese Democratic Special Zone Government, the Shandong Bureau, the Shandong Military Region, the Shandong Anti-Japanese Democratic Senate, the Chairman, Mr. Zhu, Vice Chairman Zhou, Zhang Wentian, Chen Yun and Mr. Peng sent a telegram to the couplet.
The chairman's elegy is: "Raise the red flag and do your best for the liberation of the toiling masses, wield a sword of war for the Chinese nation, and die for the independence of the Chinese nation." ”
Mr. Zhu's elegiac couplet is: "Make a revolution and seek liberation, fight for life, fight the Japanese invaders, and protect the land for thousands of years." ”
Vice Chairman Zhou's elegiac couplet is: "The red flag of the Huangpu spirit is planted all over Hubei, Henan and Anhui, and the blood of the national pioneer is soaked in Yiméng Mountain. ”
Zhang Wentian's elegy is: "When the Red Army worked hard all his life for the revolution and for the Eighth Route to fight for liberation. ”
Chen Yun's elegy is: "There is knowledge and thought, so he raises the banner to make a revolution, and rises up for the country and the nation to resist the war and destroy the East." ”
Mr. Peng's elegiac couplet is: "Méng Mountain is engraved with a monument, and Yishui sacrifices to be loyal to hún." ”
On the banner above the front of the mourning hall is Liu Yimin's inscription "Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng, the great ** soldier and proletarian military strategist is immortal", and there is a portrait of Zeng Zhongsheng hanging in the middle, and below the statue is an offering table, which does not put any melon and fruit offerings, but Zeng Zhongsheng's posthumous book "Key Points of Fighting with the Sichuan Army", "Key Points of Guerrilla Warfare", "Key Points of Fighting with the "Red Army", "Combat Characteristics of the Japanese Army in North China", "Methods of Guerrilla Warfare Behind Enemy Lines", etc., and the wooden pillars on both sides are hung with long couplets written by Liu Yimin:" Entering Huangpu, entering Zhongshan, seeking the truth, exploring up and down, throwing pen from Rong, Hubei, Henan, and Anhui Red Flags fluttering, casting a monument to the theory of guerrilla warfare, movement warfare, anti-encirclement and suppression, fighting devils, killing Han, fighting for independence, fighting in the south, conquering the north, prancing horses, waving swords, and the sound of war drums in Jin, Hebei, and Lu condensed into a practical combat guide for anti-sweep dàng in the guerrilla areas of the base area. The starter"
This couplet is not neat, but it sums up the achievements of Zeng Zhongsheng's life. He graduated from Whampoa and went to study at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow, and originally served as the main writer of "Young Soldiers" and the chief writer of "Hankou Republic of China Daily". If Zeng Zhongsheng does not die, he will certainly make greater contributions to the building of our army and military theory in the future. Liu Yimin even imagined that once he and Luo Ronghuan led their troops north to the northeast to confront the Kwantung Army, they would recommend to the central government that Zeng Zhongsheng should sit in Shandong and command our army to fight a decisive battle with the Japanese army in Shandong. It's a pity that God is jealous of the talent, and Zeng Zhongsheng, who was saved by Liu Yimin, still died heroically in battle. Can Liu Yimin not be sad?
Zeng Zhongsheng's coffin was placed in the middle of the mourning hall, and according to Liu Yimin's instructions, Zeng Zhongsheng was dressed in a brand-new Red Army uniform, wearing a five-star military cap, a military coat, and leather shoes when he was buried. Zeng Zhongsheng's watch, binoculars, pens, and pistols were buried with him.
Liu Yimin said very clearly, it is not uncommon for Chiang Kai-shek not to posthumously confer military ranks. To be alive is the Red Army, to be dead is also to the Red Army, to wear the uniform of the Red Army.
Around the coffin were flower baskets presented by the leaders of the Shandong party, government, and army headed by Liu and Luo and the heads of the main brigades.
The flower basket in the middle reads, "Dear Uncle, we love you forever." Filial nephews Li Zhenghe, Li Zhengping, and niece Ni Jing Jing. ”
This was specially arranged by Liu Yimin, and his son and daughter were used to send off Zeng Zhongsheng, who had struggled all his life and was alone. Of course, the children are not here, and only Luo Ronghuan, Cai Zhong, Gao Yuan, Li Chang and other old people of the Red Seventh Army know that this is Liu Yimin's child, and others, including Li Yu, don't know, thinking that they are Zeng Zhongsheng's son and nephew.
The memorial service was presided over by Luo Ronghuan, deputy xxx of the Shandong Bureau and political commissar of the Shandong Military Region. Guo Hongtao, member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Bureau, read out the telegram of condolence, eulogy from the Central Committee and the Eighth Route Army Headquarters, and the decision to posthumously award Zeng Zhongsheng the Order of the Red Star of the First Class. Cai Zhong, member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Bureau and director of the Political Department, delivered a eulogy on behalf of the Shandong Bureau and the Shandong Military Region. In the eulogy, the life deeds of the martyrs were recounted in detail, and the comment was "the great ** soldier and proletarian military strategist" inscribed by Liu Yimin.
After Cai Zhong delivered the eulogy, it was the representatives of the masses from all walks of life who made a memorial speech.
Finally, Liu Yimin, commander of the Shandong Bureau and the Shandong Military Region, delivered a speech entitled "Eliminate the Aggressor" at the mourning hall.
There were low sobs everywhere in the room.
Liu Yimin's voice was low and tragic: "Today, we are gathered here to mourn Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng, a great ** soldier, a proletarian military strategist, and one of the main leaders of the Shandong Base Area and Shandong Military Region.
Why do people live? This is a philosophical eternal proposition, and different people interpret the meaning of life from different perspectives. For example, we are fighting devils, but Chiang Kai-shek is both fighting devils and stabbing us in the back. Wang Jingwei was even more desperate, let go of the dignified xxx vice president and went to be a Han jiān. Ordinary people also behave differently, some people ruined their homes to resist the Japanese, some people donated their only dime for the war of resistance, some people were wives who sent their husbands to the battlefield, mothers taught their children to fight in the East, fathers killed in battles and sons continued to fight, brothers died in battles and brothers continued to fight. However, there are still people who lead the way for the little devils for a bounty of tens or even a few yuan, help the devils reconnoiter the defense line of the defenders, and betray the anti-Japanese cadres. Saying that he is a Han jiān, he himself shouted that he was wronged, saying that he was trying to earn money to support his family. There are also some people who are willing to be obedient to the people and honestly work in the arsenal run by the devil, hoping to receive the salary and bonus from the devil every month, so that his wife and children can live a good life with this money. As everyone knows, his family is getting better, and other Chinese families are ruined because of the bullets he made for the Japanese army. There are also some people who are confused, do not recognize the country and the nation, and only eat, drink and have fun by themselves. Let's take a look, how many gentlemen and ladies in suits and leather shoes, grease and powder are singing and dancing in the song and dance halls of Beiping, Tianjin, and Shanghai, as if xxx people did not invade China.
I believe that at this stage, there is only one meaning for the Chinese to live, that is, to resist Japan and eliminate the devils. Our comrades Zeng Zhongsheng, Comrade Huang Su, Comrade Li Yimo, Comrade An Jingjing, Comrade Li Donghai, Comrade Guo Zheng, and the thousands of martyrs who sacrificed their lives gave the best answer to why people live. They are the pride of the Chinese, the backbone of the Chinese nation, the heroes that future generations will forever remember and admire, and the example for those of us who are alive to learn.
To mourn Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng, we must first establish the ideal and belief of striving for the liberation of the toiling masses of the whole world. As everyone knows, Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng is a graduate of Whampoa, and he did not follow their principal Chiang Kai-shek to be the spokesperson of the chaebol like many Whampoa students, but chose to follow xxx and fight for the poor and the poor. A Whampoa student, a young talent who used to be the main writer and chief writer of "Young Soldier" and "Hankou Republic of China Daily", as long as he is not in the Red Army, he can get a rich life with Guangyang clanging in his pocket. Why did he follow xxx? It is because he saw through the ** essence of xxx and decided that only xxx could save China.
To mourn Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng, we must foster a brave spirit of not being afraid of sacrifice and daring to make sacrifices. When the Japanese special combat team broke through our position, Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng could have retreated in time. But he didn't do this, but after ordering the transfer of the headquarters, he rushed to the gap in the position with the guards and started a life-and-death struggle with the devils. At the last moment of crisis, he still resolutely pulled the grenade and died with the devil. What kind of spirit is this? This is the spirit of revolutionary heroism of our army that overwhelms all enemies, and it is the spirit of fearless revolutionary bravery. With such a spirit, our army will be invincible in the world!
To mourn Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng, we should learn from his noble character of pursuing truth and fighting against the erroneous line. After Zhang Guotao arrived in Hubei, Henan, and Anhui, he vigorously pursued the ultra-left line and attacked and excluded Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng. When he arrived at the Sichuan-Shaanxi base area, Zhang Guotao, in order to prevent Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng from exposing his crime of purging and expanding the rebellion, went so far as to arrest Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng and almost shoot him to death. At that time, Zhang Guotao's ultra-left line ruled the base areas of Hubei, Henan, Anhui, and Sichuan-Shaanxi, and Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng was not afraid of being killed and resolutely fought against him. This is the noble character of a real xxx person and a great leader, which is worthy of learning and emulation by every one of our comrades.
To mourn Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng, we should learn from his spirit of being good at studying, summing up, and making theoretical explorations. We are now engaged in guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines and in sports warfare, and Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng is one of the earliest inventors of the theory of guerrilla warfare and movement warfare. In the future, commanders, commanders, and fighters at all levels of our army should learn from our chief of staff Zeng, pay attention to studying and summing up, and learn from the war in the course of the war. War is actually a competition in learning, and only an army that is good at learning is the most powerful army. ”
After Liu Yimin finished speaking, representatives of various military units and representatives of the masses from all walks of life who attended the memorial service lined up to pay respects to the remains. Then, Liu Yimin, Luo Ronghuan, Cai Zhong and others personally closed the lid of the coffin, carried the coffin out of the mourning hall, and went to the cemetery for burial under the guidance of the honor guard composed of cavalry.
Both sides of the road to the cemetery were full of cadres, soldiers and fellow villagers who had come to pay for the funeral. The cadres and soldiers saluted with tears in their eyes, and some of the villagers carried bamboo baskets full of paper money and scattered them when the coffin passed by. Every fifty or sixty meters away, there is an offering table automatically set up by the villagers, on which are placed offerings. The mountains along this road were full of cries of "Chief of Staff Zeng go well".
The cemetery is located on a hill near Dadian, and there are neat tombstones lined up on the hillside, which is the resting place of the martyrs who died in the anti-sweeping operation in central and southern Lu, and the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army, local cadres and militia who died bravely are buried.
Liu Yimin originally wanted to bury Zeng Zhongsheng in the Anti-Japanese Mountain, but before he came back, Tan Zheng, Guo Hongtao, and Li Yu had already chosen this place to bury the martyrs nearby. It is also a very good choice to let the old leader of these martyrs rest here, and command them to kill the xxx ghost hún between yīn.
After arriving at the cemetery, Liu Yimin, Luo Ronghuan, and Cai Zhong personally went down to the tomb to check it out. The layout of the tomb is the same as that of Huang Su, Li Yimo, and Jingjing, all of which are the front and back tombs, and the tomb road, the enjoyment hall, and the tomb are all made of bricks and white ash arches, and a platform is specially built with bricks in the tomb to put the coffin. On the front wall of the hall hangs the portrait of Zeng Zhongsheng, and under the statue there is an offering table, on which Zeng Zhongsheng's remains are placed, and the lanterns are lit around it.
Feeling very satisfied, Liu Yimin ordered a burial.
When the coffin was sent into the tomb, Liu Yimin slowly closed the stone door with his own hands, then withdrew, walked to the statue of Zeng Zhongsheng in the main hall of the Xiangtang and saluted, and said loudly: "Chief of Staff, go to Quantai to recruit the old department, and take a hundred thousand banners to kill Yama." Rest in peace, every time you win a big battle, I will have my comrades report you. ”
As soon as Liu Yimin's words fell, Luo Ronghuan, Cai Zhong and others who followed him couldn't hold back any longer and cried loudly.
When Liu Yimin, Luo Ronghuan and others came out of the tomb, the soldiers began to fill in the soil to seal the tomb and erect a monument.
The front of the monument is engraved with Liu Yimin's inscription "Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng, the great leader and proletarian military strategist, is immortal!" "The north side is engraved with the dedication of the ** Central, XXX, and Eighth Route Army Headquarters. On both sides are engraved the eulogies of the Shandong Bureau, the Shandong Military Region, and the Shandong Anti-Japanese Democratic Senate and the "Eternal Monument -- Commemorating Comrade Zeng Zhongsheng" written by Liu Yimin.
The wreaths and flower baskets woven from pine and cypress branches in the mourning hall were all moved to the cemetery and surrounded around the monument.
The funeral people had already finished lining up, following Luo Ronghuan's command, marching and saluting, and then the guard regiment fired guns and saluted.
Dear book friends: We will continue to update tomorrow. Thank you! RO!。
