Chapter Seventy-Four: The Holy Land Juyanhai

The east and west Juyanhai are now connected, and the "Shangshu" is called weak water quicksand, and the main source of water replenishment is the Heihe River and the Ejina River after the ice and snow melt in the Qilian Mountains. The Han Dynasty became Juyanze. After the Tang Dynasty, they all became Juyanhai. The Yuan Dynasty was divided into three, and the Qing Dynasty was divided into two in the east and west.

However, with the increase in the amount of water coming from the Black River. The East and West Juyanhai have been connected. Similarly, Qingtu Lake and Baiting Lake have a tendency to be connected after the water surface expands. Although the surface of the lake has been restored, there is no vegetation, and there are a large number of reeds in the old lake area, and there are carp, crucian carp, bighead fish, grass carp and other fish growing in the lake, and swans, geese, cranes, and water ducks also come to inhabit the lake.

But there are only a few grasses on the surface of the new lake, and most of them are yellow sand. The lake is also very shallow, only a few tens of centimeters in most places, less than a meter.

If the water is quicksand, it is very vivid.

At noon, the sun is shining, the water temperature is high, and the transpiration is high. Some of the previously dry lake beds were all saline, but now they are starting to fade when they are replenished.

Due to planning problems, a road passed by the lake, which is now all submerged in shallow water. The environmental institute directly demanded that the road be rerouted, and it was forbidden to fill in the roadbed to repair the road.

"We think so, the size of the lake area in these two places directly determines the climate of Suiyuan." The female director of the Environmental Research Institute of the Juyanhai Administration explained it this way.

"There is water in this place, and the wind that passes along the Ortai Mountains is moist, otherwise it is dry. The Dunhuang area, the restoration of the Tarim Basin and Lop Nur, and the improvement of the environment of the Tianshan Mountains and the Bogda Mountains have played a great role in promoting our here. Precipitation has increased significantly in recent years, which is why Juyanhai has recovered faster than we expected. ”

"At the same time it is transpiration, with trees and water versus without trees and water. Is there any difference in climate? Wang Ruofei asked. The eyes of the students who had just interned lit up, and they were even more interested in the question.

"Trees not only slow down the wind, but also regulate the flux of transpiration water vapor, and when the wind is too strong, the plants close the stomata to reduce transpiration. At the same time, if there are multiple layers of tree canopy, it has a great effect on reducing the ground temperature, especially in the middle of the day when the sun is intense. The transpiration of water from plants undergoes its first cycle inside the forest. Only then do they exchange at low altitudes and finally rise to high altitudes. Without trees, the evaporated water vapor would rise directly into the air. We know. Clouds formed at high altitudes eventually form precipitation in different places. However, low-level clouds form precipitation locally. Lakes mainly increase water vapor fluxes. And lakes with plants are also very different from lakes without plants. The most important thing is the deceleration of the wind and the internal circulation of water vapor in the forest system. It not only retains moisture, but also regulates ground problems. The temperature difference between day and night will be reduced. The temperature emitted at night is retained by the plants. It lowers soil temperature during the day. Form a temperature environment suitable for various organisms. ”

"Isn't that just like a human lung?" One student is clearly from medical school.

"Yes. The forest is the lungs of the earth, and water is the blood of the earth. In the past, the degradation of the Alxa grassland was a very serious lung disease. "The female director is in her thirties and has tanned skin. It looks like a farmer, but it's the soul of the place.

"Will Juyanhai expand?" Rei looked at Shui Ling and Rei playing in the shallow water.

"Yes, but there are conditions, that is, the environment of Dunhuang and Qilian Mountain, Kunlun Mountain has been in evolution. Planting trees and grasses and readjusting the agricultural structure here can play a certain role. But it's mostly upstream. Our environmental improvements have a greater impact on the downstream. Like Mr. said, it's a whole environmental system. We're just a very small subsystem of completion. The female director replied in the affirmative.

"Haha, don't put it on me, I just made a small start in the system theory, and then you summarized it yourself. It doesn't have much to do with me. Zhang Chun said with a smile.

"That's too modest, sir, you have heard my reports several times, and each time it always allows us to find the most realistic path on many forks in the road."

Zhang Chun sighed: "I can only do this. You also said that the most realistic path is not the shortest, most scientific path. That's what you found for yourselves. ”

With the water, the various plants and trees that grow along the lake are very luxuriant, and they are newly sown by the management center. Many of the trees on the original road are dead, but the surviving trees are growing well. Employees of the Juyanhai Fisheries Management Office are throwing boatloads of reeds into shallow water. After all, there are still some good conditions here.

The windbreak belt did not stop because the water was going to flood them. It's just that there have been some adjustments to the tree species.

The Juyanhai area began to be cultivated in the Han and Tang dynasties, and later the environment deteriorated and it was returned to grassland. This back-and-forth has been repeated many times.

Nowadays, farmland is almost surrounded by forests, and in addition to the water surface, there are generally two forests, one grassland, and one farmland. In the past, it was all pasture, and the capacity to accommodate the population was very low. It's not high now, but it's more than it used to be.

For the governance of Badain Jarin, the strategy of steadily advancing from the surrounding to the center was adopted, rather than fighting a war of annihilation from the beginning like the Mu Usu Sands. Tengger's governance also follows the lake and the water.

This generation has built three new counties: Heishui, Juyan and Shacheng. The entire area was renamed Juyan City because of Juyanhai, which tells people that Juyanhai is the sea of life in this area.

The city of Juyan used to be the seat of the Ejina Banner, but now it is closer to the Altai Mountains. It is located at the intersection of the Altai traffic line and the Zhangye traffic line along the Heishui River. On the square in the center of the city, Zhang Chun actually saw a statue of Lao Tzu riding a green ox.

The legend of Lao Tzu walking west on quicksand originates from "The Legend of the Immortals": "The one who orders Yin Xi, and the doctor Zhou also." Good at learning the stars, serving the essence, hiding virtue and benevolence, people don't know when they are. Lao Tzu traveled to the west, he liked to see his breath first, knew that the real person had been, waited for the traces of it, and got Lao Tzu. Lao Tzu also knows its wonders, for the sake of writing. In the west of the quicksand with Lao Tzu, the obedience is victorious, and I don't know what it will end. He also wrote nine books, called "Guan Lingzi". ”

And this "Biography of the Immortals" should be a book written by Liu Xiang in the Han and Wei dynasties.

Zhang Chun combined Lao Tzu's theory of heaven and system theory, and this theory spread with the spread of writing, and it put some religious and philosophical ideas together, as if there were signs of forming a whole. Especially in the Altai Mountains, shamanism has risen in the early days of extinction. They began to lean on Lao Tzu for their origins, and the legend that Lao Tzu traveled west and turned into Hu became the basis, and Juyanhai became a holy place.

Zhang Chun has said many times that everyone can become an immortal and a Buddha, which was originally from a historical and philosophical sense.

But in the Far East and Central Asia, it became the basic doctrine of shamanism, and they even combined some of the original glyphs of Chinese characters spoken by the Han Chinese when teaching Chinese characters with their own religious symbols, which led to Chinese characters becoming their basic symbols. The legends of the gods and spirits of the Han people, because they are consistent with their teachings, are full of humanity and secular thoughts, and have become something that they like to quote when they tell about the knowledge and teachings of animals and plants.

Among them, "The Legend of the Immortals" is their favorite work.

"The Legend of the Immortals" is the earliest work that systematically narrates the deeds of the immortals, recording the deeds of seventy-one immortals from the red pine nut to the Xuan vulgar, and the era span is large. It is believed that cultivating to become an immortal is regardless of status, and after a certain amount of cultivation or some kind of opportunity, everyone can be reborn and soar extraordinarily. Therefore, the many immortals that appear in the legend include the leader of the tribal alliance, the leader of the tribal alliance, Lao Tzu, the Taoist leader, the prince Qiao, the prince Qin Gao, the official who holds the pottery, Ning Fengzi, the doctor Peng Zu, the medicine picker, the medicine seller, the Taoist priest, the pearl seller, the wine woman, the beggar and so on. Regardless of whether they are high or low, from emperors to beggars, they have all become immortals.

This also illustrates the idea that everyone is equal.

Of course, there is another reason why Juyanhai has become a religious holy place is the "Biography of Mu Tianzi", the legendary King Mu of Zhou set up his eight divine horses, traveled all the way west, came to the foot of Kunlun Mountain, and saw a queen wearing a tiger skin, that is, the Queen Mother of the West who later became the wife of the Jade Emperor. And this Kunlun Mountain is now Heli Mountain.

When the people of the Environmental Institute teach students, they often talk about Heli Mountain and Baitinghai Qingtu Lake, saying that this was once the holy land Tianchi and Beihai, you see, if you don't protect the environment, it has become what it is now.

The so-called Beihai is said to be north of the Kunlun Mountains. It is the place where Su Wu shepherds sheep. There are also Su Wu Temple and the stone tablet that records Su Wu's shepherd's sheep in the Baitinghai area, and it is very old.

The fact that the area from Heli Mountain to Juyanhai became a sacred place is actually related to the fact that these legends were cited when Suiyuan Province called for environmental management in this area.

Zhang Chun could only smile, after all, this was helpful to stabilize the situation on the frontier, so he acquiesced. (To be continued......)
