Chapter 15: Bad News in Hometown
As Teucer lifted the shutters of the house, he was greeted by a strange but familiar person. What impressed Teucer the most was his deep blue eyes and pointed ears.
"Hey, Terrian's buddy, aren't you going to say something to your savior and get ready to go?" Teucer was confronted by the owner who came to open the curtain. "That's not what a Terrian gentleman should do."
"Ha, you're the pointy-eared blonde guy in my dreams! I'm not dreaming, am I? What the hell are you? Teucer stuck out his tongue, his eyes looking up and down at the strange creature in his eyes, "Are you human, or something?" I think you must be a strange creature from this Arcana Temple! β
"What Arcana Temple? Oh man, I think you must have been sick and confused. I'm telling you - you're not dead, and you're not missing arms or legs! The Death Realm of your Trians has not yet received you narrow-minded fellow. The master grimaced, "Besides, I'm nothing. Enough, stop calling me stuff. I'm a nobleman with pure blood. β
The owner of this straight face gently supported his long golden hair in a shawl, two ponytail-like ear hair braids hung lightly on the back of his head, the pair of pointed ears were as narrow as willow leaves, the blue eyes looked so deep and charming, the white skin was almost impurities, his gorgeous and exquisite lace neckline set off a noble temperament, and the green tights that were close to the body were everywhere with silver-white "filaments" embroidered with the coat of arms of the tree, revealing a quiet elegance. The shin armor made of vines tied to his shins, and the surface of the shin armor was woven with one or two patterns that Tok had never seen before, which seemed to be harmonious and natural, and seemed to integrate all the nature and beauty of the forest into his body.
"But those pointy ears and blue eyes on your top make me think you're a weird guy!" Teucer looked the man up and down curiously, as if he were looking at a delicate animal. "I've seen the people of Entle, and they are completely different from you, with brown eyes and normal ears."
"I say you're strange and rude, a Trian! Are you deliberately pretending to be stupid and laughing at my looks? I'm not an weird guy, I have the impression that you Trians are polite, and it's the first time I've seen you to call a savior on the right like you, maybe you lack some education. The aristocratic long-eared young man looked dissatisfied, and his words seemed to be mixed with a slight sarcasm.
"Hey, man." Teucer mimicked the way the long-eared young man spoke, "I know I'm in Entle, I don't know, the people of Entle look like you, I've only seen centaurs and dwarves and of course the people who live there with us. β
"Hey, hey, man, I think you're mistaken, this isn't the city of Entre of your Trians, it's at least 500 miles away from us, this is Sheffield Town, I'm a Wood Elf, not an Entre or something weird you say! I don't know you haven't even seen us Wood Elves. The Wood Elf was obviously a little annoyed, but in the end he blinked his eyes, putting aside the bad mood just now, "Forget it, I think you do have too little knowledge, so I won't care about you in general." We are a noble race. Not the rough and savage creatures of centaurs and dwarves. But I don't want to point a finger at these centaurs and dwarves, as we don't know them well. β
"Sheffield Town?" Teucer was incredulous at the Wood Elf's answer, "You say, I'm in Sheffield Town now?" So what is this Sheffield town? β
"Oh, my Forrestal, I think I already know where you came from, you must be from the secluded town of Goodbey. Sure enough, it's what the goblins call "ΞΑγ-hillbilly", but I didn't expect you to even know Sheffield Town, the border town of our Elwinian Wood Elf Kingdom. The Wood Elf shrugged helplessly, and he sighed softly, "It's been a long time since I've played the harp to a Trian like this, and the city of Entre you mentioned is the border town of your Trians, and now the situation there is tense, and we haven't seen an Entel caravan from you for a long time." β
"You guessed right, Wood Elf fellow, I guess I'm right about you right now. It seems that you often deal with the people of Entre City here, no wonder I want to mistake you for the Entre people. There's a great chef in my hometown who also comes from Entle, so I knew you had some connection to Entre as soon as I heard your accent. Teucer finally patted his head.
"No, it's not that I'm connected to the town of Entre, it's that the city of Entre is connected to us, and that's the point. Okay, let's not talk about those irrelevant things. The Wood Elf pointed to the wooden bench beside the bed, "Let's sit down first, I have many questions about what happened to you Trian people in the town of Goodbay. Mr. Guard. How did you get here, and the whole town of Gudebai is probably the luckiest. The Wood Elf's question startled Teucer's heart.
"I said you wood elves are really ghosts! What kind of magic is hidden in your deep blue eyes, even my identity can be seen at a glance, I am indeed a temporary guard of the town of Gudebai. But how do you say I'm the only one who escaped? You don't see that, Wood Elf man, what is this? I think I'm the only one who was taken prisoner, that's true. Teucer sat down on a wooden bench beside the bed.
"Oh, then how did you end up on the side of the road near Tuon? The road leads to the trail outside the town of Gudebai. Those guys won't catch you and let you go. This is important, so you have to explain it to your savior, it's not too much to ask. The deep blue eyes of the wood elves twinkled with doubt.
"You can see that you must be surprised at me, Wood Elf man, huh? But I have doubts about your questioning now, and I feel like I'm going through an interrogation without torture. Teucer looked directly into the Wood Elf's deep blue eyes, "Besides, we in Goodbay have never had much to do with you Wood Elves, so I have no reason to tell you anything that happened to us in Goodbay. β
"Ah, Terry's friend, I think you have too many preconceptions about strangers, and I think you are completely wrong." The Wood Elf gently stroked the long hair of his shawl, "If what I said is correct, then please answer my question." Your town of Gudebai has suffered misfortune, and more importantly, your misfortune has affected my territory. When I saw you lying on the side of the road, I thought you must be a messenger given to me by Forrest, the god of the forest, to help me. β
"What a perfect statement! But I think you're thinking too highly. Wood Elf folks, we in Goodbhai have been suffering from misfortune for a long time, and those damn goblins have come to the town every once in a while to plunder it. Our people are dead and wounded, and we, the inhabitants of Goodbay, have never had a good day, and we spend almost every day in gloom. Teucer frowned in disgust at the Wood Elf's words, "Well, I'll tell you the truth, how did I show you up and what is your name?" Tuang? I don't know the forest god Forrester on the side of the horse trail, which is obviously a strange name to me. I think I'm the only one who managed to escape from the goblin caverns in the mountains and kill the four Wolf Wolves who are still alive in front of you. I don't know how long I've been missing for my friends in Gudebai, a month, two months? Look at my face. Look at the horrible beard on my face. β
"I see, I think you must be a survivor who escaped from the Goblin Lair in Hawk Mountain, and your Arcana will be with you, man." The Wood Elf slowly reached out and placed it gently on Teucer's shoulder, "However, it doesn't matter how long you've been missing to Goodbai's relatives and friends, I don't think they can feel the presence of time now." They've come to the world you said you woke up to. β
"Wood Elf, please don't sell me a countryman? Something to say directly, we Gudebai people are not used to listening to the pretentious Entle accent, your tone is full of awkwardness! A chill ran through Teucer's heart, and he seemed to feel a hint of foreboding in the words of the wood elves.
"Oh well, lucky Trian man, I have to tell you sad news, buddy. This news has been confirmed by our heavenly friends, the Giant Eagles of Green Mountain, who have brought us bad news from the elven patrols we sent to explore the town of Goodbay. The town of Gudebai has been completely wiped off the map, except of course for the four-legged ones that gather in the Highlands, and although we are not of the same race as you, it is a good thing that our common enemy has done. I deeply regret this. The Wood Elf patted Teucer on the shoulder, "You're the only person the town can listen to this bad news in peace." β
"What the hell is going on?" After hearing the news of Gudebai, Teucer grabbed the shoulder of the wood elf and shook it vigorously, "What do you mean that Gudebai Town has been erased from the map?" I'm bothering you not to beat around the bush while talking to me, I've already said it, I'm not used to your Entre accent! Teucer felt that the word "wipe" contained a desperate message.
"Now that you already know, why bother me to tell me? Your hometown has been slaughtered by the black-robed demons of the Shadowlands and the goblin minions of Mount Hawke. That's the good thing that the goblins entrenched in the place you escaped from. The blonde-haired, long-eared wood elf was in awe of Teucer, "And it was to find out for myself this great turn of events, that I was able to meet you who fainted, and you were covered with wounds, and I saw you lying on the side of the road, with a sword in your hand, and a high fever, so I guessed that you were the guard of the town of Goodbay, although we were not of your race, and the soldiers had to die in battle, not by the roadside, so I had to save you." Besides, maybe you have something we don't know about. I think you are a gift from Forrest, the god of the forest. β
"Oh, thank you, Wood Elf fellow, if I don't have a home, I don't even have the last shred of hope, I'd rather die on the side of the road. Even if you save me, it will be a dead end for me to get out of here. However, I obeyed Arcana's call and I was going to do what I had to do. Teucer's tears flowed down his mind, and he thought of the benevolent priest of Deminsk, the fat man Marado, who loves stinky farts but harmlessness, the elegant centaur Alec, and the miners who took care of themselves and worked honestly, "How long was Gudebai slaughtered?" I think I've got to get revenge. I was captured by the goblins on the evening of March 20, 1028 Tark Calendar, when I was guarding the town gate of Goodbay! Since you Wood Elves are so well-informed, the days must be very accurate. β
"Praise to Forrest, the god of the forest, it's hard to believe, it's been a full half of the Talk month." The Wood Elves looked at Teucer in awe, "It's not easy to escape the Goblin Lair in Hawk Mountain, and I think you're taking the secret path they know about inside. Teucer's experience intrigued the elegant Wood Elf.
"No, I escaped by digging a tunnel in the goblin cave, and then I was attacked by the Wolves at my campsite, and I fought to kill three Wolfs, one of whom had a tooth through my calf. At noon the next day, I finally found a road, and then I lost consciousness, and when I woke up, I came to this secluded hut, and then I met you with long ears that I had never seen before. But you look like a good guy, oh no, a good wood elf. β
"Oh, lucky fellow." The Wood Elf listened with a little pride to Teucer's adventures, but his eyes were fixed on the ring that Toucer was wearing on his finger that had been removed from the cave skeleton's hand. "However, the information you provided is important to us Wood Elves, and you mean you dug a tunnel in the goblin cave to escape, do you? I'll give you this cottage as your home in Sheffieldtown. β
"You're going to make me the master of this big cabin?" Teucer wiped the tears from his cheeks, "Forget it, fellow of the Wood Elves, you and I don't know each other, and you saved me first, and now you give me this big wooden house, I'm just a farmer in the town of Gudebai." I've got nothing left, and I don't have anywhere to ridicule you. Mr! β
"I'm not a joker. I also see the excitement that is now flashing in your eyes. "I need you to provide us with the location of that secret passage to the Goblin Lair in Hawk Mountain if necessary. As a qualification and prerequisite for you to have legal status here. The proud wood elf was visibly interested in this point in Teucer's statement. Goblins are creatures that we hate. Not long ago, a team of goblins quietly infiltrated our Wood Elf territory, raped and killed 3 of our Wood Elf women who were collecting flower dew in the wild, robbed them of everything they carried, and then brutally nailed them naked to a stake. Our wood elves in Sheffield have been trying to find a way to smash down these guys' lair in Hawk Hill. β
"Wood Elf buddy. You've finally been able to get your words straight. Maybe that's the only value and condition for me to stay here. Teucer wiped away his tears and nodded, "If it's to kill the abominable goblins, if you can get rid of those damn goblins, of course I'll have to help!" β
"Man, you're such a smart and respectable human being. We Wood Elves are an honest race. The Wood Elf placed her white hand on her chest and nodded slightly at Teucer. Then he took Tokra's hand and sat him down on the edge of the bed. The Wood Elf untied a small wooden box from the vine belt and applied the pasty green plaster from the box to the wound on Toucer's calf, and Teucer felt a pleasant coolness. The Wood Elf then stood up and said to Teucer: "Man, your injuries have not fully recovered, you have been smeared with Elf herbal mud, and you should not walk around for half an hour, of course, I give you advice to lie down on the bed obediently and quietly, lunch will be ready soon, I will arrange for it to be brought to you later, wait quietly for lunch!" β
"What? Do I still have servants? Teucer pinched his face with his fingers, "I'm dreaming, you're all dreaming fantasies." β
"You Trians are all the same, I mean, I'll call my sister, and Avanna will bring you lunch, considering your mobility." The Wood Elf snorted and turned to leave.
The wood elf opened the shutter and shouted outside the door: "ΠΠΡΠ»Π°, ΠΊΠΎΠΊγ»ΡΠ³γ»ΠΉΠ°Π»Ρ." (Avenna, get ready for lunch). β
"Hey, long-eared fellow, I'm Teucer from Goodbay." Teucer looked ready to leave, "Thank you for saving me and taking such good care of me." We've been talking for a long time, and I don't know what to call you. I think you must be a local tyrant here. β
"Oh, it's the first time I've heard the term 'local tyrant', but I do have a little privilege in this forested town. I am the Captain of the Border Forest Patrol of the Elvenian Wood Elf Kingdom, the Baron and Light Knight of Sheffield, and Lord Wood the Glory. Wood's self-introduction is full of affirmation and pride in his title.
"Hi buddy Wood." Teucer greeted fresh friends. Teucer likes to be called plain and simple. He thinks that the name of the wood elf is so cumbersome.
"Teucer, my dear fellow, please use Baron Wood of Glory as my lordship." Wood also immersed himself in a proud self-introduction. He smiled and waved his hand at Teucer, lifted the curtain with one hand, and walked out.
In a few moments, a tall and slender woman in a pale yellow dress walked with a step that seemed to be as light as a dance, and Teucer always remembered her beautiful long flowing golden hair that hung down to her back, and saw her gently approach the edge of Teucer's bed, and from the bamboo basket he was carrying in his right hand, she took out the freshly made wooden elf dumplings and two emerald eltora fruits and gently placed them on the cabinet at the head of Teucer's bed. Her fingers were slender and white, and she glanced back casually, her eyes that shimmered with crystal brilliance almost robbed Teucer of his lonely soul.
The anger of the goblins in Toucer's heart no longer dominated the main melody, and the graceful body of the beautiful and light Evenna was deeply engraved in Teucer's mind, and even filled his heart for a moment.
