Xifeng's new book "Quan Ba Fusang" has been officially uploaded, and I would like to thank you for your support of this book. Xifeng promises to write a unique work of exotic travel, and promises to update it at least once a day, and will never disappoint readers who love this book. For the convenience of everyone, the era in which this book took place is introduced as follows, please refer to it.
The story in the book takes place in the Warring States period of Japan, that is, from the Onin Rebellion in 1467 to the establishment of the Tokugawa regime in 1603, about 200 years, which is the Ming Dynasty in China, and the coastal Wako Rebellion occurred.
Strictly speaking, Japan's Warring States period is not an official historical term, and it is generally used to refer to the history of Japan during the period of about 100 years between the late Muromachi shogunate and the Azuchi-Momoyama period. In this era, the traditional aristocratic politics collapsed, and it became possible for local tyrants and commoners and even ronins to become the daimyo of many countries and even the "people of the world". In the late Warring States period, the relationship between serfs and landlords under the feudal system in the past was gradually destroyed. The daimyo of various countries, led by Oda Nobunaga, gradually moved away from the previous system of integrating soldiers and peasants and adopted the practice of employing ronin as professional soldiers in cash. At the same time, the early alliance system of the princes and local tyrants gradually transformed into a centralized and dictatorial militaristic government. As a result, large-scale battles became the norm, and a unified shogunate was born from the flames of war.
After the Onin Rebellion, daimyo from all over Japan rose one after another, and wars raged, and the people were struggling to make a living. In the middle of the 16th century, a man who was determined to unify Japan by force and end the troubled times appeared: Oda Nobunaga. In the third year of Eiroku (1560), Oda Nobunaga defeated the 40,000-strong army of Imagawa Yoshimoto with 2,000 men and horses in Tsubashisasa, and his reputation grew. After that, Owari and were gradually unified, and preparations were made to attack San'in and Sanyo. During this period, Nobunaga built the magnificent Azuchi Castle. For this reason, Nobunaga's era is known as the "Azuchi period". (The starting point of this story is here, in 1580, the eighth year of Tensho, the official peak of the Oda clan)
In the tenth year of Tensho (1582), the Honnoji Rebellion broke out, and Nobunaga died. Oda Shigetomi Hashiba Hideyoshi defeated Akechi Mitsuhide and Shibata Katsuie successively and established himself as his successor. After that, through the Shikoku Expedition, the Kyushu Expedition, and the Battle of Odawara, Japan was gradually unified. Later, he was given the surname "Toyotomi" by the emperor and was given the position of "Sekihaku". The era of Toyotomi Hideyoshi is known as the "Momoyama period". For the name Toyotomi Hideyoshi, I think everyone is familiar with it, that is, he launched two wars of aggression against Korea, and the Wanli Emperor of the Ming Dynasty had to send troops, which shook the country's capital.
In the third year of Keicho (1598), Toyotomi Hideyoshi died of illness at Fushimi Castle. The Toyotomi clan was divided into two factions, Omi (Western Army) and Owari (Eastern Army). Tokugawa Ieyasu, one of the five elders of the Toyotomi regime, launched the Battle of Sekigahara in the fifth year of Keicho (1600), defeated the Western army, and established the Tokugawa regime. In the 8th year of Keicho (1603), the Tokugawa shogunate was established and the Warring States period ended. Then, in 1615, Tokugawa Ieyasu defeated Toyotomi Hideyori at the Osaka Summer Battle, and the Toyotomi clan was destroyed, which was considered to be the true unification of Japan and the end of the war.
