Chapter Twenty-Eight: The Ten Tortures of the Manchu Dynasty
Second sentence: Insert a pin
Needles are inserted between fingernails and are often used in female prisoners. Our sister Liu has been tortured in this way, but although this criminal law is cruel, it has not brought down our Chinese children. That's a real woman. Brother Zeng, Brother Chun and the like are obviously not enough to see.
The third Xing: The car is cracked
That is, the five horses divide the body, that is, the head and limbs of the tortured person are put on ropes, and the five horses are pulled by five horses to rush in five directions, tearing the person into five pieces, because as the head is the first to fall, followed by the arms, and when only the legs are connected to the torso, the pull will break one of the legs, and the torso will remain on the other leg. However, according to my research, the limbs of the five horses are not necessarily broken from the intended part when they are separated, because the wrists and ankles are much more fragile than the roots.
It takes a lot of effort to cut off the head, not to mention pulling, and the suffering of the inmates can be imagined. By the time it was torn open, I am afraid that the prisoner would not feel any pain for a long time. The real pain comes when pulling, and the moment the blood splatters out is the real horror.
'Poof', the blood flowed like a column.
I remember that Shang Ying was dismembered like this back then. A person who has nothing to do and is looking for trouble.
Fourth punishment: intestinal drainage
It looks easy, but it's quite difficult to implement. It is recorded in history that the first person to do this was our eighth master, Zhu Yuanzhang. Zhu Baye is a fierce man, what is so special about this set of punishments that he pioneered?! Needless to say, it must be similar to his character: fierce!
Tie a rope in the middle of a horizontal pole and hang it high on a wooden frame, with an iron hook at one end and a stone at the other, like a huge scale. The iron hook at one end is lowered, stuffed into the prisoner's anus, the large intestine is pulled out, hung on the iron hook, and then the stone at the other end is pulled down, so that one end of the iron hook is raised, and the prisoner's intestines are pulled out and hung high in a straight line. The prisoner screamed a few times, 'Ahhhhh
Fifth punishment: playing the lute
Playing the lute is very simple and easy. Of course, the pipa here does not refer to the pipa in the instrument, but to the pipa bone, commonly known as the rib. So how do you play it?! It's very simple, just shave off the ribs one by one with a knife, and the earliest time it appeared in the history books was also the Ming Dynasty.
Sixth punishment: broken vertebrae.
Not to mention, breaking the spine, living and leaving a lifelong disability, the possibility of being a vegetative person is also relatively high.
Seventh punishment: palace punishment
Not to mention this, there are many starting points, and buddies have done it several times.
Eighth punishment: lead pouring
To understand lead, we must first mention the Buddhist story of Yama. Since ancient times, Yama has a saying that black and white are the lord of hell, and there are hundreds of officials who are ordered by beautiful women; The black phase is two hours a day, and you will suffer from copper enema. Similarly, there is torture of tin or lead in the world. The melting point of tin is 232 °C Celsius, and the melting point of lead is 327.4 °C. In addition, the melted tin or lead solidifies into a hard lump as soon as it enters the belly, and the falling force of this heavy metal can also kill people.
Yang Cheng Zhaoxin, the queen of Liu Qu, the king of Changchuan in the Han Dynasty, was jealous and tyrannical. Liu went to pamper another Meiji named Rong Ai, drank with her many times, and Zhao Xin was jealous, so he said to Liu: "When Rong Ai looks at people, his expression is a little abnormal, probably because he has a personal affair with someone." Liu went to believe that it was true, and when he saw that Rong Ai was embroidering the pattern on his collar, he snatched the clothes in a fit of rage and threw them into the fire and burned them. Rong Ai saw that Liu went to get angry, he was very scared, and threw himself into the well to seek death, Liu went to order someone to fish her out, but unfortunately she did not die. Liu went to scold Rong Ai and forced her to confess her private affairs, but Rong Ai was tortured and said that she had an adulterous affair with the doctor. Liu Qu became more and more angry, so he tied Rong Ai to a pillar, gouged off both of her eyes with a red-hot knife, cut off the flesh on her two thighs, and finally poured melted lead into her mouth, so as to destroy Rong Ai until death.
Ninth punishment: stick punishment
If you take it literally, then you couldn't be more wrong. The so-called stick punishment is not to beat people to death with sticks, it is too violent, too untechnical, and that kind of practice cannot be said to be torture. The so-called torture is based on the word 'cool', cruel, cruel and inhumane.
Stick punishment, there is a very apt saying in modern times that coincides with him, and you must be extremely interested in this statement - bursting chrysanthemum. It is to take a stick and insert it directly into the person's mouth or anus, and the whole rod is submerged, piercing the stomach and intestines, and making people die a miserable death.
There is no record of this kind of punishment in the official history, but it is mentioned in Jin Yong's novel "Chivalrous Travel", and this kind of torture is also called 'open laughter'. This is overbearing!
Tenth sentence: Buried alive
This is not a punishment at all.
Eleventh Punishment: Five Punishments
Don't look at his esoteric appearance, in fact, it is just four words: eight pieces of disintegration. Simple! This is like some people, the name is five or six, but its essence is scum.
Twelfth punishment: sawing
Literally understood, not explained.
Thirteenth sentence: Ling Chi
We hear the most, but we don't see much. The earliest is to kill people and then chop them into meat sauce, called "醢", those who have received this punishment remember that there is the proud disciple Zilu of the old master, and the eldest son of King Wen of Zhou, Bo Yi Kao.
Later, it was developed more elaborately, and the purpose was to make the prisoner suffer the most, so not only did he inflict punishment while he was alive, but also required the number of knives that the prisoner had to suffer before he died.
It is said that later, each Ling Chi had to be executed by two people, starting from the feet, a total of 1,000 knives, that is, 1,000 pieces of meat had to be cut off before the prisoner was allowed to die. It is said that if the prisoner dies before a thousand cuts, the executor will also be punished. This technique later developed into the 'art of the death penalty'.
And the most famous person who received this punishment is the Ming Dynasty eunuch Liu Jin, who did a lot of evil, it is said that he did not cut for three days, and the number of knives was only 3,357 and then died, because he did not reach the full cut for three days, cut 3,600 knives, so it is rumored that even the executioner was punished, Liu Jin drank a little porridge after being cut on the first day, and continued to be punished the next day.
This was one of the official punishments of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Fang Xiaoru of the Ming Dynasty did not respect Zhu Di's will and was Ling Chi. (In the end, the Ten Clans were exterminated!) Originally, there were only nine clans, but Zhu Di killed some of Fang Xiaoru's students and friends together, barely scraping together the ten clans. )
It's miserable!
Fourteenth punishment: cooking
Here's an allusion: Please enter the urn.
The fifteenth punishment: riding a wooden donkey
Women-only criminal law, you know.
Sixteenth punishment: grooming
Grooming refers not to a woman's grooming, but to first pour boiling water on people, and then use an iron brush to grab and comb the flesh off the body one by one, until the flesh is exposed, and finally swallow. The real inventor of the punishment of grooming is still our Zhu Baye-Zhu Yuanzhang. Have you noticed that our Zhu Baye not only has a hand in fighting the world, but also stands at the forefront of history even wondering how to rectify people. I have to say that Zhu Baye deserves to be a generation of kings! It's too fierce!
According to Shen Wen's "Records of the First Politics of the Holy Monarch", when the punishment of grooming was carried out, the executioner stripped the prisoner naked, put him on an iron bed, poured boiling water on his body several times, and then brushed off the skin and flesh of his body with an iron brush. Just like the folk slaughter pigs with boiling water and then remove their hair, until the skin and flesh are brushed up, revealing the white bones, and the tortured person will die of anger before he can wait for the end. The punishment of grooming is the same as that of Ling Chi. According to the Old Tang Book. The Biography of Huan Yanfan records that Wu Sansi once sent Zhou Lizhen to arrest Huan Yanfan, dragged him around on the bamboo chariot, the flesh was exhausted, and the white bones were exposed, and then he was killed with a cane.
Seventeenth punishment: hanging
Brother Yue Fei died like this, and adults also died like this. However, the tools used are different, the eldest brother uses a bowstring, and the adult uses white silk. There is no comparison between the two, but one thing is the same, they have the same name abroad: hanging.
Eighteenth punishment: Execution
There are many theories about execution.
Some people say that it is to cut off all the knees below, some say that it is to cut off the feet, and some people say that it is to cut off the kneecaps.
In conclusion, torture is a form of torture akin to amputation.
During the Warring States Period, Sun Bin was framed by his senior brother and was tortured (Sun Tzu's feet. -- Han Sima Qian, "Report to the Shaoqing Book"). I heard that his name was originally Sun Bin, but after being tortured, he changed it to Sun 'Bin'.
If the kneecap is cut off, and the protection between the thighs and calves is lost, this person may not even be able to stand up, so the barnyard official history says that after Sun Bin was tortured, he couldn't even ride a horse when he went into battle, and he had to take a car (carriage or rickshaw).
Nineteenth punishment: beheading
The connotation is as simple as the letter, the executioner uses a heavy axe to cut the prisoner in two from the waist. Since the waist chop is to cut the person from the middle, and the main organs are in the upper body, the prisoner will not die all at once, and will be conscious after the beheading, and it will take a long time before he dies. When Shang Ying changed the law, it was clearly stipulated that if a family commits a crime, the neighbor does not report it, and the punishment will be cut in half.
Some people think that Fang Xiaoru was beheaded, but in fact he was executed by Ling Chi.
It is said that one of Bao Qingtian's three guillotines is used to cut in the waist.
Twentieth sentence: poison
Poison is probably the only humane form of torture. Among the ancient Chinese poisons, the most famous should be the poison '鸩', from which the idiom 'drinking the duck to quench thirst' comes from.
It is often used in death-giving situations.
At this time, someone will ask, didn't you say that the Manchu Qing Dynasty tortured the ten times?! Why did you say twenty?! This question can't be answered by Du Niang, so you'd better consult an expert. I'm not an expert, so I'm silent. All I can find is twenty, and twenty is twenty, but why is he called the ten tortures?! I uphold the principle of seeking truth from facts.
Zhao Yiheng didn't see the ten tortures of the Manchu Dynasty, Liu Quan just said casually, this girl has all the tricks.
Li Shiyao quit. Didn't you say that you would put it back when you talked about it?! It's been almost a day, why haven't you seen half a figure?! Don't...... Not good......
Li Shiyao was in a hurry, he was going to rob someone.
