Chapter 64: The Black Heart Cauldron
Lord Liu is a veritable second-generation official, and it stands to reason that his eyes should be on the top of his head, and he will yell when he hits someone: 'My dad is the lord of Liu Tongxun'. But why did he suddenly get intimidated after he joined the company?!
There is no lack of hidden meaning behind history.
Liu Yong also has his unspeakable secrets.
As the saying goes: no more than three generations of rich. Similarly, Shun is only three generations.
Liu Yong's family has been an official for three generations, and it has come to an end. Why?! Because his Laozi's official has done too much.
In 1754, Liu Yong had just been admitted to the Jinshi for three years, and in the Hanlin Academy, he was from a scholar to an editor, and finally survived to give a lecture. Suddenly, disaster fell from the sky, and speaking of this disaster, it was a very simple thing, and even said that it had nothing to do with their family, but it was put on the table by him.
A sad scene.
The conversation has to start with Amur Sana of the Xinjiang Hui Department.
Back to the department, we have to pay attention to this back part does not refer to what we are talking about today**,** and the back department are not the same thing. He launched a rebellion, and the soldiers occupied Urumqi at once, which was not called Urumqi at that time, but Guihua City, and the Qing army at that time retreated from Urumqi in the west to Balikun and Hami in the east in a blink of an eye.
Liu Tongxun's official position at that time was the chief military aircraft minister. The chief military aircraft has one job that he has to do every year, and that is to go to the border to visit the soldiers of the garrison. On behalf of the Government and the Supreme Leaders, I would like to extend to them the highest respect and warmest greetings. In 1754, when the Qing army was retreating and retreating to Balikun and Hami, Liu Tongxun's children's shoes appeared at the station. He was faced with the sudden retreat of the army, and he felt the severity of the situation at that time, so he wrote a letter to Qianlong Ye, in which he said: It is recommended to abandon Balikun and retreat all the troops to Hami. Re-prepare and do not engage in a head-on confrontation with the enemy.
Let's prepare first, wait for work, and when he attacks Hami, I will attack and counterattack with all my strength, but Qianlong Ye got this letter and got up, and he was furious: Rub, you dare to collude with foreign bandits?! Come on, escort Liu Tongxun back to Beijing to Lao Tzu, and behead the whole family.
Liu Tongxun's whole family, men and women, old and young, dozens of people, were imprisoned. For two whole years, without interrogation or questioning.
Two years later, Qianlong suddenly remembered Liu Tongxun's family who were in prison, and felt that he was a little too much, so he reinstated Liu Tongxun and Liu Yongguan to their original positions. However, Liu Tongxun made a suggestion: Forget it, forget it, son (Liu Yong), don't be in Beijing, this Beijing is too dangerous, you better let me go outside. So at that time, Liu Tongxun was in front of the emperor, and his son went to other places as an official, and left Beijing.
This incident left an indelible impression on Lord Liu's life. So much so that all the experiences of his life, all the lessons, and all the principles of being an official have more or less to do with the fact that he was innocently imprisoned in this year, his whole family was copied, and the entire family could be destroyed in an instant at any time.
After this incident, he summed up a set of five basic principles for handling affairs for officials. First: You must please the emperor, and act when it is time to act.
The lives of his whole family are in danger, and at this time, it is all in the emperor's words: the emperor said to let you go, the emperor said not to let you go, and no one dared to say let you go. The reason why his family was able to save their lives was because the emperor was happy for a while, the emperor wanted to come, the emperor figured it out, and the whole family was peaceful. So my task in the future is to win the emperor's favor with money.
However, he told us that if you want to please the emperor, it is easy to say, but it is too difficult to do.
Fortunately, Liu Yong's family has a background, three generations before and after, and more than 100 years of experience as an official told him: I haven't done this before, but I've heard of it. I know what to do. At this time, he was ready to take the old road of Haicheng: to engage in wenziyu.
Some children's shoes will ask: Unlikely, right?! Lord Liu has also gotten this kind of thing?!
Not only did he do it, but he did it twice.
What a ruthless heart.
The first took place in 1761. This year, he served as a scholar in Jiangsu, and in the spring of this year, an incident happened: there was a person in Pei County, Jiangsu who insulted the imperial court, and as a result, people were falsely accused, arrested and imprisoned, and tried in three sessions.
Originally, there was nothing to do with him in this case, if that person was just an ordinary person, the sentence would be handled by the prosecutor's office. The trouble is the problem of the composition of this person. He is a lifter, a lifter, a reserve official, and he must be examined by the academic administration.
Liu Yong was a scholar at that time.
Lord Liu's mind turned, and he immediately thought of one thing: Since this person dared to scold the court, didn't he dare to write out the scolding words? He immediately gave people advice: if you go to their house and search, there must be literal words in their house, there must be some handwriting. As a result, after a search, sure enough, there were two boxes full of paper, both of which were insulting to the imperial court.
It's a big deal.
Lord Liu was not afraid of big things, so he wrote two letters, one telling the governor of Jiangsu: You have to deal with this matter; The other letter told Emperor Qianlong: Eunuch Dayong insulted the imperial court, you have to deal with him.
After Qianlong heard about it, he was very angry, and his anger was abnormal, so he turned around and gave the order to kill his head. As a result, Eunuch Dayong died, and Lord Liu was promoted to the prefect of Taiyuan, Shanxi.
Lord Liu was beautiful all of a sudden. He didn't expect that it would be so easy to be an official. So, seventeen years later, he did another vote. This vote gave him a physical understanding of what it means to be 'soaring into the sky'.
The location is still in Jiangsu, and the time has been changed to 1777. That year, he served as a Jiangsu scholar for the second time. Just in time for Dongtai County, there is a family surnamed Xu, and there is an old man named Xu Xukui in their family.
Xu Xukui had a dispute with someone else on this day - a dispute over land, and he wanted to buy someone's land by force. But if people have money, they just have two words: don't sell it. Even if I want to sell it, I won't sell it to you!
Xu Xukui was furious: Rub, you still have to get up! At the moment, he is stalking, using both soft and hard, saying that he will eat this land. The family is also on fire: Rub, I don't believe that no one has cured you yet. The next complaint took Xu Xukui to court.
It doesn't matter if this is a lawsuit, the important thing is that Xu Xukui is also a scholarly family in their family, so this matter is rushed to let Liu Yong deal with it. As soon as Lord Liu received the report, he immediately thought of the case from seventeen years ago: This product must have insulted the imperial court and searched for me. A search. I really found out a "One Pillar Building Poetry Collection".
There are two poems in the poetry collection: 'The great tomorrow will meet again, and put the pot on the side', isn't this the restoration of the Ming Dynasty? I put that pot, the kettle pavilion where I poured water, next to it, but with a piece, can't this pot be read as not insulting the Qing Dynasty as a "Hu people"? This is a sentence, not over yet? He also has another sentence: 'During the Ming Dynasty, Zhenxi went to the Qing capital in one fell swoop'. This sentence will not be explained, and the explanation will be redundant.
Master Liu had summed up his experience in doing this kind of thing, so on the one hand, he sent the book directly to Qianlong. On the other hand, he is trying his best to inquire about the crimes of others. Related to this, in the end, the case was revealed, and more than a dozen people were brought out at once, eight of whom died, and three of the Xu family died at once.
In addition, from top to bottom in this county, the "Yizhulou Poetry Collection" has been engraved for decades, don't you know that the officials of the provincial capital, prefecture and county don't know? Why do you eat it? Therefore, all the officials involved in the case were arrested and questioned, and those who were dead were dug up and graves, and those who were alive were immediately executed. The following year, in 1780, Liu Yong became governor of Hunan.
The second lesson: in your own work, be decisive when you should be decisive. He felt that the reason why our family escaped this disaster was not because our family had this case or not, but because this case had nothing to do with our family. He knew very well what the emperor had let him go, why? It's because of his family background. So he knew very well that if I was going to be in the future, I didn't want to suffer a similar ordeal. Then for the Qing Dynasty, I should be diligent in my duties, and I should work hard, repay the emperor, and serve the motherland.
Finally, let's talk about 'Luo Guo' again.
The word Luo Guo really has a origin, it was really said by the emperor, but which emperor said it? I am responsible to tell you, not Qianlong.
Whether it is a storyteller or a singer, the "Luo Pot" about Liu Yong in it is all said like this: it is said that Qianlong one day, he took Liu Yong to open the shabu, gave Liu Yong the title of "Luo Pot", and also mentioned a poem to Liu Yong: "Disability in life is the front edge, the mouth is in the chest, the ears beat the shoulders, the sun and the moon are rarely seen on the back, the blue sky can be seen on the side, lying like the heart is missing three points, standing like a bow and missing a string, and after death, the provincial official outline is pretended, and the cage is in a long sleep." 'This is what Qianlong Ye Han Liu Yong did, and he wants Liu Yong to return him a poem, I will write you a poem, and you have to write me a poem.
Lord Liu immediately picked up his pen and wrote a poem to reply to the emperor: "The camel's back can store grain." People are long hunchbacked, resourceful, Wen Tao accompanies the monarch to set the national policy, Wu Luo guards the border to protect the family state, although the minister does not know the grace, Cheng is rewarded by long live, don't look at the Luo pot word is not much, 20,000 taels a year. ’
Whether he wrote this poem or not, I dare not jump to conclusions. The reason is that there is another poem, and the legend is also written by him: 'Carrying a hunchback, with a high chest full of economic wealth, a glance of loyalty and treachery, and jumping the dragon gate on one leg. He's talking about four kinds of people with disabilities, and he says all four people are good people.
There are four sentences below: 'Dan Xin Fu Sheji, Tu Brain Xie Huang'en, and those who take materials by appearance are not virtuous people.' Some people say that this was written by Liu Yong, because there is only one hunchback in the poem just now, and he wrote several disabled people into this poem, and many people have come to the conclusion that Liu Yong should write the latter.
But which one was written by Liu Yong, I don't think it's like any of them, I think it's all legends. But Liu Yong's "Luo Guo" is really what the emperor said, but this emperor is not Qianlong, he is Qianlong's son, Jiaqing, and he is not talking about the word "Luo Guo", but "camel". It is written in the history books: Jiaqing said that Liu Yong was called "Liu Huozi".
When Emperor Jiaqing ascended the throne, Liu Yong was already in his 80s, and it seemed that we should feel that it was time for us to be hunchbacked, so objectively speaking, Liu Yong was in old age, and it was true that he was hunchbacked.
Having said so much, I just want to tell you: Lord Liu is not a simple person, Qian Feng pulled him, and the adult is going to plant it this time.
Liu is 31 years old and adults, and in terms of intelligence and reaction ability, he is definitely above Liu Daren. Why was he stabbed by Lord Liu?!
Lord Liu smiled: This kind of thing has nothing to do with intelligence, it depends on experience.
