Wang Mumu was extremely disgusted with this political atmosphere, and also wanted to preserve a line of righteousness for the Great Song Dynasty, so he wrote a long letter and asked the telegraph operator to send it to Wang Anshi, the old man of Zhang Guo who was far away in Luzon. Later, Zhang Guo's old Wang Anshi proceeded from the overall situation and agreed to Wang Mumu's suggestion. So, in Wang Anshi's mainland hometown Jiangning Mansion (Nanjing) in the mid-mountain garden Wang Anshi "died", the history of Wang Anshi died on May 21, 1086, Wang Mumu was very relieved, he did not anti-history, it was Sima Guang who inspired himself, and time caught up. At the same time, from then on, in Wang Mumu's article, in this well-known land, only Zhang Guo is old, and there is no longer Wang Anshi. 

According to the usual practice, Wang Anshi died, and a mourning hall would be set up, and Zhang Guolao troubled his younger brother Wang Anshang to handle this matter, and Wang Anshang chose a wasteland behind the mountain for his brother to be a tomb. During this period, no one went to the royal house to pay respects, nor did they build a Shinto monument in front of the tomb as usual, and there was not even an epitaph, and all rituals were exempted. This was not only the trend of the world at that time, but also Zhang Guolao's deliberate pursuit.

However, in the eyes of the public, Wang Anshi is dead, death is a black threshold, there is no longer a pillar in this dynasty, and there is no soul in this era. In any case, Wang Anshi's life lasts for one day, and people look up to him for a day, even if they no longer give orders, they are still a flag, a sign, and a signal.

When Sima Guang heard the news, he let out a soft sigh. When a politician has no opponents, his life is no longer full of passion and fighting spirit. The newly appointed prime minister, who was so angry with Wang Mumu that he was recuperating at home at this time, immediately wrote a letter to another prime minister, Lu Gongshu. 

In this brief letter, Sima Guang is a little lost, a little hateful, and also a little like the prime minister's belly to hold the boat. He affirmed Wang Anshi's moral articles, but completely denied Wang Anshi as a politician. This is also to be expected. Affirming the opponent is tantamount to denying himself, Sima Guang is not so stupid. He even summed up all the reformers and Wang Anshi's protégés into two categories: one was "slanderers" and the other was "repeaters". He constantly reprimanded and attacked the reformers in various institutions and those who were somewhat involved with Wang Anshi, forcing people to "alienate" Wang Anshi and not dare to praise him anymore, because they would be included in the list of "slanderers"; I don't dare to criticize him anymore, because then he will be considered a "repeater". He wanted to hang Wang Anshi aside. 

Sima Guang made a conclusion about the dead Wang Anshi, and then suggested that "the imperial court should be generous and generous", so that the world should know that I, Sima Guang, do not care about previous suspicions, and I am tolerant and generous. The little emperor Zhao Xu posthumously presented Wang Anshi as the Taifu, and ordered Su Shi, a scholar, to write the "word-making" of "Wang Anshi's Gift to the Taifu". Su Shi is a great writer, and his lyrics are of course high-sounding and brilliant. 

No one sacrifices to hang, a dead politician, no one will go to the side, it's too late to hide, tend to be inflammatory, and fall into the well, which is originally an attribute of the villain, "both clear and philosophical, in order to protect his body", you know, Sima Guang's ears and eyes are paying attention to the movements of the Wang family!

The low mourning is disturbing and heartbreaking. In the far corner, several of Wang Anshi's old friends were sad and sad. Who else can understand this desperate pain? Yes, the Great Song Dynasty no longer has the strong voice of the times, and there is no longer a cry for revitalization. 

He even shamed himself as a scribe, and his literary ideas also showed the color of a statesman, and his purpose was to apply it to the world and revere the scriptures. Indeed, he appeared on the historical stage of the Northern Song Dynasty as a politician and thinker, ruled for two terms, advocated law change, and had power over the world.
