Chapter 190: Explosion

Okinawa in April is already sunny and full of spring, but Wang Dali's mood at this time is not so leisurely and sunny, but very excited and worried. As a Chinese agent, he has been ordered to hide incognito in the Okinawa nylon factory since two years ago, waiting for instructions from the chief, codenamed "Dongxue", and cooperating with his actions.

At first, he still felt that this work was very sacred and exciting, but in the two years he was lurking, the head of Winter Snow did not summon him once, making him enter the hibernation period in disguise. As he gradually adapted to life on Okinawa Island, Wang Dali felt that life here was actually not bad, at least the living conditions were much better than in China, and there was no situation where the higher authorities were deducting difficulties and making things difficult for the lower levels, and the people at the bottom were in dire straits, as long as they worked hard, they could live very well, and even the American GIs stationed outside did not dare to bully the workers in the industrial zone at will.

I thought that such a leisurely and comfortable latent life would continue until the time of the three-year rotation arrived, and I could return to China with the income of these two years of labor, but when I was on work break today, I picked up the Okinawa Daily News, which I must read every day, while eating, I suddenly found that there was a missing person notice in the cracks, and after reading the words on it, he was stunned.

Because this missing person notice is the code that the leader of "Winter Snow" summoned himself, he has been lurking for two years and waiting for this code every day, but when the code really comes, he is a little overwhelmed. But fortunately, he still has the basic quality, and he quickly adjusted his state, first asked the factory for two days off, and then came to the joint location on time.

The joint location is a locker in a shopping mall, and after opening it, there is only one letter inside, and after reading the contents of the letter, he was really shocked this time, because the content written inside is really too scary, and the Taiwan side actually wants to take advantage of the Bandung Conference to plot to assassinate Premier Zhou, once this kind of thing happens, it will be a major event that shocks the world. It seems that this "Winter Snow" chief is really powerful, and he can even find out this kind of top-secret information, but who is he? Why do you have to hide in Okinawa? And how did he learn about Taiwan in Okinawa? But anyway. This information must be sent back immediately, otherwise if it does happen, the consequences will be unimaginable.

However, it is a pity that when Wang Dali tried his best to transmit the information back, it did not attract the attention of the country, and many people thought that the "Terekin" group retired after the team leader. Unable to gather top-secret information, it was decided to charter Air India's Kashmir Princess aircraft (limited to domestic conditions, so only foreign airlines could be chartered). It was also agreed that on April 11, the plane would arrive in Hong Kong in the morning as a normal flight, and then change to a charter flight for the Chinese delegation in the afternoon, and fly directly from Hong Kong's Kai Tak Airport to Jakarta at 13 o'clock.

Fortunately, before leaving, Myanmar Prime Minister U Nu sent a telegram. U Nu invited Premier Zhou to rest in Yangon for two days before going to Bandung to attend the Asian-African Conference, where he would attend a small informal meeting attended by the prime ministers of China, Burma, India, Egypt, and Afghanistan to study the relevant issues of attending the Asian-African Conference. Wu Nu has such respect for China. Premier Zhou naturally obeyed.

As a result, the Chinese government delegation was divided into two routes: one was led by Premier Zhou from Kunming to Yangon, the capital of Myanmar, while some members of the Chinese government delegation and reporters flew from Hong Kong to Indonesia on the Indian airliner Kashmir Princess as originally planned.

On the evening of April 11, Premier Zhou received a phone call from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing reporting that the Kashmir Princess had suddenly lost contact and that her condition was unknown. At this time, the Reuters Singapore midnight telegram on the 11th also happened to come, this telegram said: Indian Airlines Kashmir Princess crashed in the sea northwest of North Borneo on the way from Hong Kong to Jakarta, and the fuselage fell into the sea. The whereabouts of the 11 passengers on board, including Chinese government staff and journalists, and the eight crew members of the plane are unknown, and all are believed to have been killed.

The occurrence of the Kashmir Princess incident immediately aroused strong shock and condemnation from the international community, and at the same time, not only cast a dark cloud over the hearts of every member of the Chinese delegation, but also caused anxiety among the representatives of other countries invited to attend the Asian-African meeting. In particular, the host country, Indonesia, is even more nervous and busy, for fear that there will be a mistake in any place or link, which will cause irreparable consequences. Some countries are worried that the Asian-African Conference will not be successful, some countries believe that even if it is held, it will not necessarily be able to achieve positive results, and some leaders are worried that their participation in the meeting may be conspired upon.

But Premier Zhou was not intimidated by the danger, and the Skymaster, another aircraft leased by Air India, insisted on rushing to Indonesia. On April 17, Premier Zhou led a delegation of the Chinese government to Bandung. On April 18, 1955, the Asian-African Conference, which attracted the attention of the world, opened as scheduled.

On May 25, 1955, the long-awaited investigation by the Commission of Inquiry into the crash of the Kashmir Princess aircraft finally came to a final conclusion: the plane exploded due to an external device. On the same day, the Information Department of the British authorities in Hong Kong issued a special communiqué on the Kashmir Princess air crash. The communiqué said: The plane crash was almost certainly caused by an explosion on the right flank, as this type of time bomb is usually exploded within 12 hours, and the explosives were in fact planted on the plane while it was in Hong Kong.

The person who presided over the assassination was Zhao Bincheng, the person who directly commanded it was Jin Jianfu, and the person who specifically carried out the bomb planting was Zhou Ziming, a ground crew member of Hong Kong's Kai Tak Airport who overhauled the plane.

The bombs used to sabotage the Kashmir Princess aircraft were small time-incendiary bombs made by the United States, which were secretly transported to Hong Kong on 5 April by Taiwan's "Secret Bureau" to the ship "Sichuan" of the Swire Steamship Company, which sailed from Keelung. After arriving in Hong Kong, they handed over the bombs to the 'Hong Kong Intelligence Station' under the 'Secrecy Bureau,' and they stored the bombs at a residence named Cheung Cho-shun on the first floor of No. 178 Third Street in Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Intelligence Station had instructed Agent Hui Hui in advance to train Chow on how to plant the bomb. Before the Kashmir Princess plane took off from Hong Kong's Kai Tak Airport, Chow Ziming placed the bomb near the fuel tank of one wing of the Kashmir Princess plane in a very short time.

On May 17, 1955, 36 days after the explosion of the Kashmir Princess, the Songshan Airport Security Command captured Chen Ziming, who was hiding in a small and rarely used baggage compartment on a Chennault Air flight. (To be continued.) )
