Volume 3: The One Who Should Think Thinks Chapter 114: Arrangement

The patriarch of Qingshan himself has the cultivation of the five realms, but he is the city lord, and there is no city lord in Bayuan who also holds this position. Then the only remaining monk above the four realms is Shui Gu, but with Shui Gu's temper, it is impossible to serve as any engineer, so he can only let the monarch send people.

But a monk who has at least four realms of cultivation can live comfortably anywhere, why should he go to such a remote wilderness, spend his days with a group of wild people in the deep mountains, and be an engineer who has not even built a city? Therefore, there is no problem with the feudal landscape city, but the appointment and dispatch of engineers makes it very difficult for the monarch.

Since Lord Xiling is so capable, this time he intends to solve the overall situation in the midst of external twists and turns, so the monarch also asked Xiling to find a way to do this. Xiling visited almost all the high-ranking hermits near the national capital, and as he expected, no one wanted to take on this thankless drudgery, but in the end, he still said that Xin Shu was moved.

Xin Shu reluctantly agreed to Xiling to be the engineer of Shanshui City, but there was also a condition, when there was a suitable candidate to succeed him in that wilderness, he would be dismissed and leave. Of course, Xiling nodded busily and thanked him repeatedly.

Xin Shu had traveled with Xiling to that wilderness, knew the situation of the various tribes, and knew what was happening there, so he was certainly the best candidate. At the same time, Xin Shu also has an identity, he is the descendant of Chiwangqiu, and he has a huge force behind him, but very few people know about it in the Xiangmuro Kingdom. This identity may also bring more help to Shanshui City, which is what Xiling thinks.

Xin Shu asked Xiling not to reveal his identity to others, of course Xiling would not have much trouble, and consciously kept this secret for Xin Shu and did not tell anyone.

What exactly does a master engineer do for a city? In many cases, it is a position that is feared but not done, and its main duty is to take charge of the fortifications. The engineer is at least a monk of the Four Realms, with supernatural powers and magical powers, which can not be done by others. Some tasks that are difficult or impossible to accomplish with ordinary manpower and material resources require the hands of the master engineer - such as finding suitable ores, refining refined iron, and crafting them into weapons required by soldiers.

There is also a situation that often needs to be solved by an engineer, such as when building a city outline, there is a boulder that cannot be found in a suitable position, then it depends on the means of the engineer. It can be seen from this that although the status of the engineer is very high and respected, many monks are reluctant to take on this task on their own initiative, and often need to be appointed by the king and the lord of the city, and the appointee has to politely ask the other party to agree.

The engineer also has a very important responsibility. It is the situation of the monks who are in charge of the territory under the jurisdiction of the city. Where someone has broken through the first realm, where has a monk broken through from the second realm to the third realm...... These news should be understood and grasped in a timely manner. On the other hand, the engineer should also be familiar with all the monks above the three realms in the jurisdiction, and he can contact them and ask for help if he has any problems.

There are many things that cannot be accomplished by the engineer alone, and he still needs more helpers. Monks above the Three Realms can create some artifacts that are difficult for ordinary people to make, and they also have magical means that are incredible in the eyes of ordinary people. Therefore, it can become the object of the engineer's help. But this kind of person cultivates well on his own, usually does not like to be disturbed, and may not give face to the engineer.

But for most monks, they may turn to the engineer for help. They also live in the city, and their villages and families are more likely to ask for help from the engineers, so they generally don't offend the engineers, and usually build good relationships and promise to help when they can.

Monks like this. It is also known as "co-work" in the people. The so-called "co-worker" does not refer to a specific person, but to a certain type of person, and this title has been handed down from the time of Emperor Yan.

When Emperor Shennong was in the world, he was the founder of a generation of emperors. Known as Emperor Yan, later generations who succeeded the Son of Heaven also took Emperor Yan as the name. When Emperor Yan was in power, he called on all the monks above the three realms in the world to help the people in exchange for the offerings they enjoyed.

This was a call rather than a command, because it was impossible for ordinary people to force the monk to help with supernatural powers, so they could only ask for it as much as they could. In the era of Emperor Yan, all monks above the Three Realms, as long as they were willing to use their magical powers to create artifacts and build projects for the people, could be called "Gonggong", which means "common engineers".

Later, Emperor Xuanyuan rose to become the founder of the new generation of emperors, also known as the Yellow Emperor in the world. When the Yellow Emperor was the Son of Heaven, he clarified a system. Monks from the three realms of the kingdom and above promised to help the city engineers in any matter, so that they could receive rewards and offerings, and when they needed their help, they had to obey the call to serve.

But this kind of conscription is not on call, and the monks' promises are usually conditional, such as what kind of offerings they receive, how many times a year they will act for the city or the king, as long as the promises are fulfilled, and other matters are completely voluntary or need to be negotiated. There are also some monks in the people, who may travel in various places, and occasionally accept the requests of the local residents and help them do something, which is also called Gonggong in the people—this is the legacy of the Yandi era.

As for the era of Emperor Yan, Emperor Taihao was also the founder of the country, and the founding name of the country was "Hua", which was known as the world, and the sons of heaven in later generations also thought it was called. However, due to its age, the details are not clear today.

Nowadays, the kingdom and the city in Bayuan also have a co-work system, and each city has set up an engineer to take charge of the "co-work" situation within the territory. Therefore, "Gonggong" is not an official position, but an honorific title for the people, and many people have a very high status and may not need this honorific title.

For example, Xin Shu came to Shanshui City to serve as a master engineer, and the only people who can be registered as co-workers here are currently Gu Xin, Xiao Bai, Yue Niu'er, Qingshan Patriarch, Shui Gu and others, and there is another group of Second Realm monks who may have hope in the future. As the city lord, the Qingshan patriarch can also become a co-worker, it depends on whether he is willing or not, and in fact, there is nothing that these people are unwilling to.

Master Gongshi also has the responsibility of trying to guide the talented young people of each tribe to enter the initial realm to cultivate, and recommend them to the school palace in the national capital. Nowadays, there is no school palace in the countries of Bayuan, but the official will still discover and train monks, which is also a major event to find talents for the city and the country, and it is not the responsibility of the engineer alone. Monks trained by the government are usually required to swear to serve the city and the kingdom, which is also a common rule.

Looking at it this way, there are many responsibilities of an engineer, and he can't be busy even with three heads and six arms, but this is not the case. Engineers also had their own assistants, and in those days, people had very few things to do, so they set up an official position and were often responsible for many kinds of affairs.

Xin Shu's arrival was of course warmly welcomed by the Great Wall Lord of the Qingshan Clan and the Elders of Shanshui City, and they were very grateful to this master. And Zhu Ming on Shude Hill was secretly sneering, only he knew the details of Xin Shu here, this person was the descendant of Chiwangqiu, and he was willing to run from the national capital to Shanshui City to work as an engineer, so he must have another purpose.

With the identity of the engineer, Xin Shu can smoothly lead all the monks of this generation to grasp the situation, which tribe has broken through the initial realm, and which monk has broken through from one realm to a higher realm, all the engineers need to know. If Zhu Ming finds a successor here, he will definitely not be able to get rid of Chiwangqiu's surveillance.

Xin Shu had indicated to Xiling in the Central Valley the identity of the heir of Chiwangqiu, but when he spoke, he held his voice with mana, and Zhu Ming on the Shude Hill could not hear it. He only lit up Chiwangqiu's token in his palm, and then put it away, and at that time, everyone's attention was on the side of the battle array, and almost no one would notice his action, and Zhu Ming should not either.

Zhu Ming was on the Shude Hill, although he could know what was happening in the wilderness, his Yuan Shen perception had been greatly limited, no different from what ordinary people saw, and more importantly, it was impossible for him to perceive every situation in the mountain all the time. At that time, Zhu Ming must have paid attention to how the Qingshan Patriarch cleaned up the big fish shell like everyone else, and it was almost impossible to notice his fleeting action.

It's a pity that Xin Shu miscalculated, Zhu Ming already knew what the outcome of this conflict would be, so he didn't care about how the big shell played at all, and kept focusing on these people from outside the mountain. As a result, perhaps luckily, Zhu Ming happened to catch a glimpse of the token of Chiwangqiu in Xin Shu's hand.

Zhu Ming knew who Xin Shu was and what he was here for, but he didn't say it, and he didn't even remind the Qingshan Patriarch, so let Chiwangqiu take matters into account. The Qingshan Patriarch had already ordered the Qingshan Clan and the Huahai Village clan not to tell anything about Baoyu's cultivation according to his instructions, at least for a while. And before Xin Shu could find out, he should let Baoyu leave the wilderness.

But Zhu Ming was still very worried, and somewhat regretted it, because he didn't expect that this person would become a master of Shanshui City in advance. Baoyu, this kid didn't have any magic obstacles in his heart, and he could have easily broken through from the Third Realm to the Fourth Realm, but Zhu Ming just made Baoyu's cultivation not so easy to break through, and then Xin Shu came.

Now Zhu Ming has a sense of urgency again, and he hopes that Baoyu will complete the preparations as soon as possible.

However, the patriarch of Qingshan didn't know what the mountain god was thinking, he was very grateful and respected Xin Shu, and the two got along very well. According to common sense, the first thing the city lord did after receiving the seal was, of course, to build the city, but the Qingshan patriarch did not do so. He first built as comfortable a residence as possible for Lord Xin Shu in the central valley, and then concentrated manpower and material resources to build a pass outside the village of Yuyu at the foot of the mountain.

This pass was officially named Shanshui Pass.

There is only one difficult and long way to enter this wilderness from Ba Yuan, and Youyu Village is a must-pass place. This pass was built before entering the village from the mountain road, and the wall was built into a wall more than two zhang wide and five zhang high with huge stones, and there was an arrow tower with a roof on the top, and there was an arch more than one zhang wide in the wall.

The pass is flanked by unclimbable cliffs, with a winding and steep road in the mountains in front and a fish village and an open fish sea not far behind. Its terrain is a pass, ten thousand people can not be opened, it is extremely easy to defend and difficult to attack, even if the army on the Bayuan comes here, it is impossible to set up a military formation to attack. And all those who enter and leave this wilderness, unless they can fly, must pass through this pass.

The construction of this pass is also out of the guidance of the mountain god, which coincides with the idea of the Qingshan patriarch himself. It is impossible to build a mountain and water city in a short period of time, let alone the guards of the city gate and the city wall, so build a pass in this place, which is the gate to enter and exit the wilderness, and behind the gate is the vast mountain and water city jurisdiction.

After the pass was completed, the Qingshan patriarch gathered manpower and material resources to dig and expand a road, which is the road leading from the central valley to the Shanshui Pass. Although it may not be as flat and wide as the carriage and horse avenue on the plain, it is also as smooth as possible, and due to the topography, the road is still difficult for vehicles, but it can allow pedestrians, cattle and horses to go on the wrong side.

Originally, the road from Yuyu Village to the Central Valley was the best road in the wilderness, but now it is also the most important inner road. The patriarch of Aoyama first ordered the excavation and expansion of this section of the road to become a standard in the future, and the road from Shanshui Pass to Bayuan should be excavated and expanded. Refer to the situation of this road.

From Shanshui Pass all the way to the distant Ba Yuan, I want to dig and expand the road like this. I'm afraid it will take a long time, and Patriarch Qingshan is not in a hurry.

The ancestors of the Qingshan ethnic group are Lu Wuding, who opened the way for the founder of Ba Yuan, who has taken Lu as their surname for generations, and of course they are also good at commanding strong laborers to build roads. The Qingshan patriarch was sealed as the city lord, but he was not in a hurry to build the city outline, but to build a pass and open the way. Interestingly, he didn't first expand the road from the Qingshan Clan to the Central Valley. Perhaps before Baoyu left the wilderness, the Qingshan clan would not have dug that road.

Xin Shu became a master of Shanshui City, in this wild tribe carried out an unprecedented huge project, he showed very hard-working, everything is dedicated, absolutely the most hard-working and selfless engineer in the five cities of Bayuan, it can not be described only as competent. Xinshu has been unanimously respected and praised by all the clansmen of the Shanshui clan. Won a high prestige.

Of course, no matter how high Xin Shu's prestige is, it is far from being comparable to the Qingshan clan. The clansmen here are not accustomed to calling the Qingshan Patriarch the City Lord, and still call him the Qingshan Clan.

The Qingshan ethnic group organized various tribes to build roads, reclaim fields, build new agricultural tools, build water conservancy facilities, and plant various crops sent from Ba Yuan. He also took Gu Xin and Xin Shu, the two "adults", to visit several demon clans that had not participated in the alliance before.

The feather people in the middle of nowhere are left to fend for themselves. The Qingshan clan didn't pay any attention to it, and now the most important demon clan in the wilderness is the Jiaorong clan. The Qingshan patriarch came to the Kakurong tribe as a guest and taught them to plant beans and open ditches to irrigate the fields, so that the Kakurong tribe also joined the Shanshui clan tribal alliance.

The people of the Kakurong tribe are not yet in the habit of using surnames, and their names are very interesting. The current patriarch of the Horn Rong clan is named Da Niu. In fact, their patriarchs have been called Bighorn because they think it is the most majestic and domineering name in the world. Only after becoming a patriarch can you be worthy. Dajiao just got a boy not long ago, and asked the Qingshan tribe to give the child a nice name first.

The Qingshan ethnic group named it "Yiqing", although the big horn didn't quite understand what it meant, but the Qingshan ethnic group must have a good name, more majestic and domineering, so he was very happy.

The Jiaorong people were born with two horns and were tall and powerful, perhaps because their bodies were too burly and strong, and their movements were a little sluggish and not too flexible. They went out of the mountains and had more contacts and exchanges with the tribesmen, except that they could not intermarry with each other, and gradually got along with each other, and everyone did not regard them as strangers. In the process of building the passes, the tall and powerful Jiaorong people have become very important strong laborers.

......

Lord Xin Shu worked very hard, but he had not forgotten his other duty, he was very concerned about the cultivation of those rising stars in the younger generation of the various barbarian tribes, and often asked the Qingshan Patriarch about the situation. The Qingshan patriarch did not doubt him, and made all kinds of introductions to Xin Shu in as much detail as possible, and introduced the best and most potential young people from each department to Xin Shu.

In the eyes of the Qingshan patriarch, among the young generation of this wilderness, the most noteworthy people are Xiao Bai of the Langri clan, Shu Zhuang of the Qingshan clan, Ah Jin, Sandstone of Huahai Village, and a woman who has just entered the initial realm, that is, Ziluo, the little girl of the Qingshan clan who always likes to dig into the roots.

Ziluo has reached the age of fourteen, and Granny Shui has once again called the people to watch the spinning not long ago, and this time the descendants of Huahai Village have also been called. When everyone heard about Baoyu's events back then, all the young people who met the requirements were absent, and they all eagerly hoped that they could also enter the initial realm and cultivate. But this kind of thing is about talent and luck, and this time only Ziluo succeeded.

Xiao Bai is currently the youngest known monk of the Three Realms in the various ministries, as for Shu Zhuang, Xiao Hibiscus, Sha Yan and the others are all in the Second Realm, but they are still very young and have good talents, and there is hope to continue to break through, as for Zi Luo, she has just entered the first realm, but she is the one worth looking forward to. Of course, there were other monks in the Barbarian Tribes, but these were the ones that Xin Shu paid the most attention to.

Except for Xiao Bai, these people are all from the Qingshan Clan and Huahai Village, and this result is not surprising, because the Qingshan Clan and Huahai Village have two masters, the Qingshan Clan and Granny Shui, and they are also willing to guide the clansmen with their hearts.

But the Qingshan clan did not mention Baoyu to Xin Shu, this is an absolute secret, and all the clansmen of the Qingshan clan and Huahai Village cannot tell outsiders. Regarding Lord Xin Shu's kindness of wanting to guide these young juniors to cultivate, Patriarch Qingshan also politely refused.

Patriarch Qingshan didn't believe in Xin Shu, the reason why he refused was because Xin Shu was too tired to add more burdens to this diligent engineer, and on the other hand, the more important reason was that he didn't need it.

Xin Shu was originally just a monk of the Four Realms and Three Transformations, and after coming to Shanshui City, his experience in this place may also be a good tempering in cultivation, and in a short period of time, he actually broke through to the Four Realms and Five Transformations, but in the eyes of the Qingshan Patriarch, he was still not a master. The Qingshan Patriarch himself has been consummated decades ago, not to mention that the mountain god is still there, if there is any situation that the Qingshan patriarch can't instruct, you can also quietly ask the mountain god in private, there is really no need to trouble Xin Shu.

But of course, there is no need to say these words to Xin Shu, the Qingshan Patriarch only said that Master Engineer is busy with affairs, and he, as the city lord, should take on more things, and will personally be responsible for guiding the younger generations to cultivate, so Xin Shu doesn't have to worry about it anymore. In fact, Xin Shu's main purpose was not to guide these people to cultivate, he just wanted to grasp the situation, if there were Zhu Ming's descendants among these young people, of course, he would not need him to guide them.

Baoyu's cultivation during this period of time, Zhu Ming didn't point out anything, he just watched quietly. The mountain god found that his previous worries were a little redundant, and his methods did bring more trouble to Baoyu's deep silence and achieved his own goals, but they did not affect the natural state of Baoyu's cultivation itself.

About a month later, Baoyu came to the Taihao ruins again, experiencing all kinds of scenes in the deep silence, but naturally found that he could no longer experience it, and he could return to normal with a single thought. The reason why the previous experience of concentration was a problem in cultivation was because when the kung fu reached such a point, one could enter that state of deep silence, and if you want to make a breakthrough, you have to go through this process.

But the scenes experienced in that state of concentration are not about whether one wants to or not, whether they want to or not, they are the strongest feelings in the depths of the soul, which will naturally appear, but they must be broken. When all this is overcome, it is no longer a problem, and it can no longer appear, and the deep silence has reached true clarity, and Baoyu has entered a familiar but new state of mind and body.

The reason why it is said to be déjà vu is that what is seen in the Yuan Shen is still the surrounding five-colored lotus pond, and the breath seems to be integrated with this strange little world. It is said to be brand new, because the realm has reached a higher level, and his vitality rhythm seems to have become the vitality of this strange small world, and this world also seems to have the life of Baoyu.

The so-called breath does not refer to ordinary breathing, but the feeling of having body and mind, Baoyu is a part of this world, and this world seems to be a part of Baoyu.

He sat in this state for three days and three nights, as if he were unaware of everything, but had the body and mind of this world. Those delicate five-colored lotus flowers, the clear spring of Changqing, the verdant lotus leaves stretched out, the Langji jade tree that exudes the light of Qiong, and the white jade altar surrounded by the jade tree seem to be inseparable from each other and in the same breath of life as Baoyu.

At this moment, the mountain god imprinted a piece of thought into Baoyu's Yuan Shen, telling Baoyu to take a Lang Ji fruit, which he hadn't taken before this cultivation, and then he would do one thing.

Baoyu opened his eyes and raised a hand, and a whirlpool appeared on the surface of the water in the lotus pond, and the nearby lotus leaves shook gently, looking full of vitality. The black silt under the spring was also stirred into a whirlpool of water lines, and a lump of silt was taken out by Baoyu in the air.

The mud ball fell above the altar, and was manipulated by an invisible force to change shape, as if it was wrapped in invisible flames and gradually burned into a vessel. According to the instructions of the mountain god, Baoyu "refined" this clay into a clay pot with magical powers.
