The establishment of 120 divisions is not entirely infantry, and there are also quite a few artillery units and armored units directly under them. Moreover, taking the artillery division as an example, an artillery division has three artillery brigades, an air defense regiment, and some other units such as the logistics support regiment. The same is true for armored divisions, with three armored brigades under one division, as well as supporting logistics units and engineering units. Although the suffix of armored divisions and artillery divisions is divisional, in fact, their establishment is entirely infantry.

Panzer divisions are class-based units, in terms of the tank units of armored divisions. A tank squad is 1 tank, a tank platoon plus a platoon commander is 4 tanks, and a tank company plus a company commander is 13 tanks. A tank battalion is 43 tanks (three companies plus one platoon), a regiment is 142 tanks (three battalions plus one company), a tank brigade is 327 tanks (two regiments plus one battalion), and an armored division is 796 tanks (two brigades plus one regiment).

The armored car unit of the armored division has only one brigade, but the armored vehicles in it are not much less than the tanks, compared to the delicate tanks, the armored vehicles are much simpler to maintain, and the requirements for logistics are much smaller, and an armored vehicle brigade is also equipped with more than 500 armored vehicles.

The number of armored divisions does not seem to be very large, but in fact, it is much more than that of infantry divisions, mainly in the logistics area, in order to shoulder these more than 1,000 tanks and armored vehicles, a whole twelve heavy truck battalions are needed. A baggage squad has 5 trucks, a platoon has 16 trucks, a company has 48 trucks, and a battalion has 160 trucks. If you add up the entire armored division's military heavy trucks, there are almost 2800 of them.

The three armored brigades of the armored division are direct combat units, and there are many more directly subordinate units like the baggage battalion, such as the armored maintenance battalion, the armored engineer battalion, the armored demining battalion, the anti-tank regiment... and other troops. Although some units are battalion level, they have several of them, just like the baggage battalions.

The total number of people in the entire armored division is nearly 20,000, and only nearly 10,000 of the 20,000 are normal combat troops, and the rest are logistics troops. As for the number of tanks in the artillery division, it will also change in the future, and with the armament of self-propelled guns, a corresponding part of the tanks will be reduced.

Compared with armored divisions, artillery divisions are not much worse in numbers. With this reorganization, the artillery division has also undergone great changes, and many things are different from before. A division is also three artillery brigades, which will be more numerically than the heavy artillery divisions of the Janissaries, mainly because the heavy artillery divisions of the Praetorian Guards are all equipped with large-caliber artillery.

Not all of the artillery divisions are heavy artillery, after all, that thing is too logistics-intensive. However, in addition to anti-tank and anti-aircraft guns, there were no guns smaller than 100 mm caliber.

Artillery divisions also start from class units, if it is a 105mm howitzer, it is generally served by 5 soldiers, and a squad can be equipped with 2 guns. If it is a 150mm or 203mm heavy gun, it needs a squad or a platoon of soldiers to serve.

After the reorganization, the artillery division is completely different from other units in many places, and the regiment-level establishment of the artillery division has been abolished, and the brigade level is directly a battalion-level unit. During the war, an artillery brigade had nine artillery battalions under its jurisdiction, and the battalion level was the basic combat unit, with three companies, nine platoons, and 27 squads under its jurisdiction. In non-wartime, there are 54 105mm howitzers at the battalion level, 26 150mm howitzers at the battalion level, and 8 203mm heavy guns at the battalion level.

For example: a 105mm howitzer brigade is 486 guns, a 150mm howitzer brigade is 234 guns, and a brigade has 72 203mm heavy guns.

However, it is impossible to do so in non-war times, and basically the total number of army support artillery of an artillery division will be about 700. Although these artillery pieces only need a few thousand people to operate, there are a lot of logistics troops, and at least more than 2,000 trucks are needed to support them.

Artillery and armored division-level equipment seem to be a lot, but in fact, they are all brigade-level combat units, and an army only has independent brigade-level support units, and only the establishment of a group army or above can be equipped with division-level artillery and armored units.

Otherwise, just like the more than 1,000 tanks and armored vehicles of an armored division, it will be very difficult for a military group at the army level to command, and only by cooperating with the troops of the group army size to launch an offensive can it be like an arm. In the future, once an independent theater of operations is established, it is very likely that several army groups will cooperate, and at that time there will be separate artillery clusters and tank armored clusters.

One of the biggest prerequisites for the current reorganization of the National Defense Forces is that they must have absolute air supremacy. Otherwise, it would seem that the anti-aircraft firepower is slightly weaker, and once a large-scale attack group is formed, it will be difficult to form effective dense anti-aircraft firepower.
