The entire search lasted for 40 days, and Chen Guang, the leader of the search team and the director of COFCO Sugar and Wine Miscellaneous Products Division who discussed the donation with Tangning this time, reluctantly and sadly announced: "Mr. Tony Tangning, a famous American industrialist and an old friend of the Chinese, unfortunately disappeared in Harbin on December 18, 1981!" ”

Tony Downing's disappearance caused an uproar in China, Japan, and the United States, and all parties sent search teams and experts to find him, but nothing was found, and he seemed to have evaporated from the world, and there was no trace of him again, perhaps just like he came in a hurry in 1946, and left this world in a hurry, or he had another life with ups and downs!
