There was a very abnormal situation in the marines of the Naval Resistance Army, that is, the number of artillery was actually more than that of infantry. But even then, artillery was far from enough. Not to mention the various artillery currently available, the artillery that has been continuously built also needs soldiers.

The training cycle of artillery is longer than that of infantry, and Li Guang boasted that he was prepared for a rainy day, and as a result, the distribution of troops was greatly biased in favor of artillery units.

The distribution of new recruits had just ended, and in February, after the staff headquarters had begun to formalize, Li Guang began to build fortifications on Shixiang Island. Li Guang didn't know whether the fortifications designed by these staff officers were really in line with military rules, but they were also carefully designed by the staff headquarters, and they also conducted sand table confrontation exercises with several prisoners of the army.

On paper, Li Guang's staff has always been talking on paper. But it is undeniable that these technical officers are improving at a rapid pace. The strength and equipment of the Naval Resistance Army are changing every day, and these staff officers are also adjusting and perfecting the defense plan every day according to the strength of the Naval Resistance Force.

In fact, every adjustment is an examination for these staff officers. Li Guang designed the imaginary enemy at multiple levels, including an attack on the scale of a brigade, a squadron (wing size), a fleet size (division and regiment level), and even a high level of the combined fleet scale. And there are thirty veterans who have just returned from Hainan. These forty-three people were appointed by Li Guang as company commanders and platoon commanders in the Marine Corps.

Of these thirteen companies, the current company commanders and platoon commanders are all acting, not full-time. This is the standard set by Li Guang, and only meritorious service can be promoted.

There were five infantry companies, each of which had four platoons and sixteen squads. Fifteen students per class.

This company-level configuration is much larger than the normal configuration of the Chinese army. The number of attached personnel such as clerical correspondents reached 250. The other units were well armed, but they were seriously understaffed, and some companies had only thirty or forty men. If these thirteen companies are fully equipped, they can only get May and June.

These thirteen companies, so far have not begun the third stage - a three-month basic tactical training of squads, platoons, and companies.

Basic tactical training, but it took Li Guanghao a lot of thought. First of all, the offensive and defensive operations of the island were arranged to the first step. For this purpose, Li Guang specially built four landing craft.

The shape of this landing craft is still provided by Li Guang (a pirated landing craft in the Normandy landings), which was designed by Lippmann's team. The artillerymen trained now by the three artillery instructors are also very targeted. Half of the training of the heavy artillery company was in the batteries in the mountains. In order to make the defense of the statue more solid, six caves were dug into the three mountains at the three corners of the triangle and six 152mm heavy guns were armed.

According to Li Guang's intentions, he was going to transport all the existing 152mm heavy guns to the mountains, but although these mountains were not big, they were really steep enough, and it was extremely difficult to transport.

The path in the mountain was carved out little by little, and at most it was to transport mortars and heavy machine guns.

In the process of training, the soldiers were also constantly building fortifications, and seeing that the defense of the stone statue island was improving day by day, Li Guang's anxiety was slightly alleviated. It's not that the fortifications of the island are complete, but he thinks that the island is not very dangerous until the army launches the Pacific War.
