Chapter 8 The Direction of Home

After decades of exploration, the warriors gathered in Mengzhong finally realized that the difficulty of finding the snow-capped caves had reached an outrageous level.

In the two hundred years since the war with the orcs, the accounts of the snow-capped caves have been incomplete. To this day, people are still unsure of the exact location of the snow-capped caves, and there are even many different versions due to vague hints in some notes. This legendary cave has never been discovered.

When people were almost desperate, a new idea came up with - since it was impossible to cross the snowy mountains, how about trying to get around them?

Inspired by this idea, the exploration team began a new attempt. They explored along the edge of the snow-capped mountains, headed north, and finally came to the shore of Mengzhong. This is an endless sea, and even in the records left by the Shenlong Empire, the name of this ocean is not mentioned.

Because Beach has always been a landlocked country, water navigation is only in the gentle waters of the Beach River. Therefore, the shipbuilding technology of the Beechcraft people is still relatively backward. But the enthusiasm for returning home has made people ignore the dangers of the ocean – and perhaps they don't yet know what dangers lie in the middle of the ocean.

Reinforced by the boats that sailed in the river, the explorers hurried on their journey to conquer the seas. They believed that if they bypassed the sea and sailed all the way to the southeast, they would be able to find the legendary Dragon Empire.

But for the inexperienced exploration team in the sea, the ocean is far more dangerous than any monster's lair. Various weather changes, difficult to grasp the flow of the sea, and dangerous factors such as submarine reefs caused the exploration team to suffer heavy losses. In these bloody lessons, people gradually mastered the rudimentary seafaring techniques.

Sailing along the edge of the continental shelf, the expedition found an island in the middle of the ocean. The crescent-shaped island, covered in lush vegetation, was named Cangyue Island by the exploration team. The explorers who stayed here soon discovered the strange Bull Demon Temple on the island.

Because of the limitations of navigation technology, continuing to move forward from Cangyue Island, you have to face the sea where there are often storms, coupled with the appearance of some terrifying monsters in the sea, which makes it extremely difficult to continue sailing and exploring, and finally people have to give up.

The road on the sea was impassable, and the exploration team began to fight the idea of land again, wanting to take the road from the east side of the continent, bypassing the snow-capped mountains to the Shenlong Empire. The Demon Dragon Ridge on the east side of Snow Mountain was discovered in this way. This is a huge basin surrounded by mountains, not only are the monsters extremely ferocious, causing huge casualties to the expedition team, but the surrounding winding and steep mountains are obviously impassable.

The exploration of the return of the Mafa people to their homeland has once again hit a wall.
