Chapter 392: Recovering Liaonan 7
The Baath Party's road transportation construction is mainly to lay concrete roads in the cities, including farms and cities, and to lay mud and gravel roads outside the cities. 【Reading.com】
It's something that can't be helped. Although at the present stage, the Baath Party has set up corresponding cement factories in every county town and farm in the Hubei and Ludong base areas, these cement factories can only barely meet the construction needs of the region.
When the Ba'ath Party built the inter-city roads, most of them were two-lane low-grade roads, but because of the distance, the building materials needed for these roads were still very large.
The construction of the five small industries that the Ba'ath Party is carrying out in various localities in the base areas is aimed at satisfying the needs of local construction. These small factories that have just been built are not enough to meet local needs, and it is completely impossible to support the construction of national highways.
Therefore, the mud gravel road, which consumes less cement and can even be mixed with lime without cement, has become the first choice for the construction of highways in the Baath Party.
The Baath Party's local construction is characterized by transportation first.
The Baath Party is an industrialized organization, although at present because the oil industry has not yet developed, so the machinery of the Baath Party is mainly steam-powered, but whether it is in industrial construction or agricultural construction, a large number of steam-powered machinery has been widely used by the Baath Party construction department.
In this way, without relatively perfect transportation, there is no way to solve the problem of transportation of large quantities of steam machinery.
For example, the No. 1 Iron and Steel Plant in Liaoning, which is under construction in the Baath Party's base area in southern Liaoning, was built in the Pulandian area north of the Acropolis in Jinzhou to use the nearby iron ore in the Pulandian area. A large amount of steel industry equipment needs to be transported from the Golden State Wharf to the Pulandian area. If it's a non-freezing period, it's better, and the transport ship can go directly to the bay of Pulandian. However, under the climatic conditions of the last years of the Ming Dynasty, the ice period on the coast of the Bohai Sea was as long as four or five months.
Therefore, whether it is from the perspective of coal transportation or the current factory construction, the southern Liaoning base area must build a road from the Jinzhou Acropolis that can directly reach Pulandian, preferably a railway that can carry a large amount of traffic.
Under such circumstances, especially when agricultural construction cannot be carried out in this winter, it has become very necessary for the entire base area in southern Liaoning to start building a road and a railway together.
Of course, there are many problems with carrying out construction in winter. In particular, under the current level of engineering and technology of the Ba'ath Party, it is estimated that a large amount of damage will occur after the first spring of the road, which is only a simple leveling and paved with a mixture of gravel and triple soil, and then rolled by a steam roller.
But that's the question for later. The Baath Party will certainly rebuild the road after the beginning of spring. The highway was completely temporary, and was built for the construction of the No. 1 Iron and Steel Plant in southern Liaoning and several industrial enterprises around the Acropolis of Jinzhou.
At the same time that nearly 10,000 Baath Party highway production and construction troops were engaged in the construction of this temporary highway, the construction of the railway from Lushun to Jinzhouwei and from Jinzhouwei to Pulandian was also put into construction with the arrival of Baath Party's railway production and construction troops one after another.
This is the kind of railroad that the Baath Party is currently building is very simple, the kind of railroad of the late nineteenth century. Therefore, under relatively harsh conditions, the construction of such a primary railway, which has relatively low technical requirements, can still be undertaken by the railway construction troops of the Baath Party.
However, even so, the railway from Lushun to Jinzhou cannot be immediately put into construction at this stage due to the complex local terrain and environment. However, the railway from Jinzhou Port to Jinzhou Acropolis, and then from Jinzhou Acropolis to Pulandian, can be put into construction immediately because of the simple terrain.
Fifteen battalions of railway production and construction troops and 10 battalions of newly formed Shandong production and construction troops are engaged in the construction of transportation in the base areas together with 20 battalions of highway production and construction troops in the ice and snow. At the same time, the No. 1 Cement Plant, the No. 1 Fertilizer Plant, the No. 1 Machinery Plant, and the No. 1 Iron and Steel Plant in Pulandian, respectively, began to carry out infrastructure work with the arrival of professionals from the Hubei base area.
In the entire southern Liaoning base area, except for the 10 battalions of the 1st Liaoning Army Corps, which is still carrying out military tasks, which can give people the feeling that the southern Liaoning region is still a relatively dangerous theater of operations, the entire southern Liaoning base area, which has fallen into a construction atmosphere in full swing, is not much different from the Hubei base area and the Ludong base area, except that the temperature is very low.
Of course, in the process of building the base areas, especially in some heavy manual labor that requires a lot of manpower, such as mining and quarrying, the Baath Party also began to bring in external labor in southern Liaoning.
Since the establishment of the Baath Party's base area in southern Liaoning at the end of 1629, there have been more than 10,000 new production and construction troops from the Ludong base area and more than 10,000 production and construction troops with various industrial construction experience transferred from the Hubei base area. With the cooperation of the First Fleet of the Baath Navy, the newly formed Donggang Revival Army "recruited" a large number of laborers in the coastal areas of North Korea.
In less than half a month from the end of 1629 to the beginning of 1630 alone, the First Fleet of the Navy and the Dongjiang Revival Army sent more than 6,000 Korean women of childbearing age over the age of 20 and under the age of 30 and more than 7,000 Korean men to the base area in southern Liaoning to supplement the shortage of manpower needed for the construction of the base area in southern Liaoning.
More than 6,000 North Korean women of childbearing age were given unified training by the Baath Party's Liaoning Party Committee after undergoing health and epidemic prevention treatment. Later, he was introduced by the logistics office of the base area to the soldiers of the Fuxing Army and the soldiers of the production and construction troops who had performed outstanding in the construction of the base area in southern Liaoning.
The establishment of more than 6,000 families has greatly encouraged the fighters who are in full swing in the construction of the base area.
Of course, such a good thing as organizing and arranging a marriage must only be enjoyed by those fighters who joined the work early and participated in the revolution for a relatively long time. Moreover, the Ba'ath Party's requirement is that only when more than half of the members of their units have already married will the leading cadres of the Ba'ath Army be organized to marry.
In other words, although about one-third of the fighters in the southern Liaoning base area have started their married life, the remaining two-thirds of the fighters and party members and cadres are still in a situation where they can only salore with envy. Of course, the situation will gradually improve with the efforts of the Navy's First Fleet and the Donggang Reconstruction Army in the Korean region.
However, the newly formed Dongjiang Revival Army, which has been working for less than a year, is not yet eligible to be organized and arranged to marry. One of the prerequisites for organizing a marriage is that the number of years of service must be more than three years.
More than 6,000 North Korean women were cared for in the Liaoning base area, and more than 7,000 Korean male laborers "conscripted" by the Baath Party were not actually abused by the Liaoning base area.
For these Koreans, who were even more miserable than the people of the Ming Dynasty and whose land contradictions were even more serious than those of the Ming Dynasty, although the work of digging mountains and mining, building roads and moving stones was indeed very tiring, many Korean laborers with poor health even lost their lives. But compared to their lives in North Korea, life as Baath Party laborers is no worse than life in their homeland in North Korea.
Although the Mongolian inspectors who did not speak the language were very rude and often punched and kicked them, it was always a fact that they had enough food to eat and warm clothes.
Many North Korean workers even privately feel that this kind of life is not very bad
