Volume 4: The Eventful Years Chapter 161: Lively [I]
If he's a hooligan who has lost his home and loved ones and happens to be here, it's nice to be able to keep him. Many simple villagers have moved this mind and asked in this way, either they want to raise him as a son, or some families happen to have a suitable girl who can be married to him.
Baoyu didn't stop, he told the people who had kindly kept him along the way that he was just a person walking on the road.
He didn't say he was a passer-by, because passers-by always knew where they were going, and he just kept going down that road. If Baoyu wanted to stay somewhere and settle quietly, a place like Baixi Village would be perfectly fine, and there would be no need to trek again, but if that was the case, why would he leave the wilderness and travel far away?
Before Pan Gu brought Baoyu to the Taihao Ruins, he had actually walked on this road. The mountain god did not tell him where he was going, but told him to travel through the kingdoms of Pahara, with some places to be careful with and others to see. Baoyu didn't deliberately go anywhere to find anything, and reaping all the experiences on the road was his practice of leaving the wilderness.
Baoyu on this road is lonely, and even often feels dazed and helpless, so he embarks on a long distance alone, and the strange world is always ushered in in front of him, which is really cruel for a child.
With his cultivation, he can survive no matter where he is, and he can take care of himself and Pang. But the feeling of being far away from his hometown and relatives and walking alone in the vast world is the reason why he often leaves the mountains and walks into the people.
Baoyu feels lonely, but he is not empty, if a person does not know how to reach the destination, then do the things at hand first. Baoyu has too many things to do in order to fulfill his wishes step by step. While cultivating alone in the mountains, Baoyu finally had the leisure to do something he had wanted to do a long time ago, which was to refine his stone eggs.
Baoyu first refined two stone eggs into one stone egg. The method of melting with a combination of instruments. The mountain god had told him that he could do this, but did not teach him how to do it. With the cultivation of progress. Along with the comprehension of the mysteries of the Great Dao contained in the layers of realms, Baoyu mastered it on its own, which is like a tree growing, and branches and leaves will naturally grow when it is rooted in the main trunk of the earth.
Then Baoyu took out the third and fourth stone eggs, and they were all melted into the same magic weapon, and they all naturally succeeded. With Baoyu's cultivation of the four realms, he can only refine the lower grade magic weapons, except for the spirituality of the heavenly and earthly treasures themselves. It can't give magic weapons more magical powers.
Baoyu's stone egg is refined in such a way, and it does not exceed the spirituality of the heaven and earth treasure itself, but it can be differentiated when the weapon is enthroned, and I have to say that this is both ingenious and the most stupid way of thinking. The reason why he said stupid was because almost no one would refine magic weapons like this, and his portable magic weapons were always in a state of both completion and incompletion, melting a new stone egg each time. It's like a new refiner.
The success rate of a cultivator of the Four Realms refining the magic weapon will not be too high, first of all, he must find a suitable flying material and earth treasure, spend mana and time to condense and refine the physical properties, in the process, it is easy to be damaged, and then refine it into a magic weapon that can truly be in harmony with the body and mind, it will take more effort. The slightest mistake can lead to failure.
If a cultivator of the Four Realms can successfully refine one of the two magic weapons after careful preparation, it means that his cultivation foundation is already quite solid and his refining techniques are already quite pure. But even so, if you refine a weapon like Baoyu, it is impossible to succeed.
Theoretically. If there is a half chance of success in refining one stone egg, there is a 1 in 4 chance of success in smelting two in a row. Three is one-eighth, and if you can't guarantee success every time, you will eventually lose all your efforts. But if he had spent the same amount of energy and effort refining the weapons eighty-one times, he would probably have succeeded in obtaining forty magic weapons.
Of course, Baoyu understands this truth, but he is not refining weapons for the sake of refining weapons, but only refining his own stone eggs, and when he does it, he is sure in his heart. Baoyu already had this cultivation skill, so he knew that he could succeed.
The monks often say that "if you are not careful, you will be damaged", but for him, there is no such thing as "carelessness", as long as he has the ability to do it, he can do it, and he knows it in his heart when he does it. There are many people who don't know what it looks like when they refine the magic weapon and what spiritual use it is, but there is no such problem for Baoyu's stone egg.
Baoyu is now offering this magic weapon, which can be divided into four "eggs" at the same time, and knock down enemies in the four directions of the southeast, south, and northwest. If he encounters something like Baixi Village again, he can beat the boss, second, and third of Liukou together with Lin Yan, and it is also very pleasant to think about it.
After Baoyu melted the four stone eggs, he naturally stopped and didn't try, not because his cultivation was not enough to melt the fifth, but because he knew that he was no longer sure that he would succeed, so he didn't reluctantly continue. The treasure jade refiner, whether it is a treasure, a magic weapon or an artifact, whether it is a success or not, has never lost any utensils and materials.
As long as you have this skill, you will never miss it, and there is no second person in the ages, even those immortals who have ascended to the sky, can do this. It's just that this underage kid still doesn't know at this time how rare his cultivation foundation is! Maybe he can't tell how many turns Baoyu's cultivation at this moment is already in the four realms, but looking at the magic weapon he has refined with his own hands, he should have already made five turns, and Baoyu himself didn't care about this.
Baoyu also carries the elixir Bi Needle Pill obtained from Baixi Village, which can be taken by monks in the four realms and the five realms, and its spiritual effect is to help people break through the original limit of cultivation mana, that is to say, when each turn of kung fu cultivation in each realm is complete, it can help each other break through to another realm, but Baoyu did not take Bi Needle Pill.
He had taken so many immortal elixirs in his early years, and that powerful divine effect still needed to be refined and absorbed, and the Bi Needle Pill had no meaning to him, all he needed to do was to cultivate his own kung fu to the point.
Of course, you can't be disturbed when refining the weapon, Baoyu will choose a secluded and safe place in the mountains and wilderness to perform the exercises, and have a pan gourd to protect the Dharma. After more than two months of cultivation journey, Pan Gu also gained something, and it finally broke through to the Three Realms of cultivation.
The cultivation of the three realms has the merit of imperial things, walking in the uninhabited mountains, Pan Gu likes to blow the fallen leaves around him, one after another. The dog was very happy to let them circulate around him.
Of course, the fallen leaves are not blown up by it. It's controlled by the method of imperial objects, but Pan Gu likes to pretend to blow with his mouth, and he looks very excited. Pan Gu not only likes to "blow" fallen leaves, sometimes he also likes to "blow" stones, "blow" dewdrops, occasionally "blow" too much control is not good, there are water droplets on the body, some stones hit their heads.
It is unlikely that ordinary monks have used the Imperial Artifact Method like this since the beginning of the Three Realms, it consumes too much Yuan Shen mana and is difficult to control, it is like nonsense. But Pan Gu used to play with Baoyu. I often see Baoyu manipulating water droplets and even air currents with the method of imperial objects, and of course I learned to do it. The dog was more just for play, sometimes his head was stoned, and he barked happily.
Baoyu's refining is a kind of cultivation, and so is the play of the pan. In the midst of cultivation and on this lonely road, Baoyu often thinks of his hometown, which is also a spiritual comfort in loneliness. When he was seated. He often enters a certain state, that is, his strange dreams since childhood.
In his dream, there are beautiful mountains and rivers, both ethereal and clear, I don't know where in the world, but I have integrated all the real beauty he has seen since childhood. That beautiful and mysterious figure always made him feel so intimate and yearning. There is also an indescribable longing in this yearning. Among the ethereal and beautiful peaks, in the clear and even sacred lotus pond, he saw her figure, and even gradually felt her breath.
Although he had never seen her face clearly, he naturally felt that she was so beautiful, and her breath was the best soothing to his lonely state of mind. It seems to awaken the innate sprouting feelings. Baoyu didn't know who she was, and didn't know why she had such a dream? It is only said that the child has grown up, and that the mountain god may know the reason, but he does not tell him.
And Baoyu is indeed growing up day by day, gradually moving towards physical and mental maturity on this road. Whenever he feels lonely and misses the distance, he always unconsciously enters such a fixed state in the end, this Yuanshen world from his childhood dream is different from the once familiar Taihao ruins, but belongs to himself.
When you break through from the Three Realms to the Four Realms, you must be disturbed by the demons in your heart, and you can dissolve or eliminate them in the fixed realm before you can break through to a higher level of cultivation. However, this does not mean that after experiencing it, all of this has nothing to do with future cultivation, and its impact will only be more subtle and far-reaching.
In Baoyu's "inner demon", there was a scene of the village being slaughtered, and the village of the Qingshui clan turned into the road village where he lived, and the seeds in his heart would gradually sprout, and he would definitely avenge the Qingshui clan in the future. When he was in Feihong City, he encountered the rogue who slaughtered the village and exterminated the clan, and Baoyu did not let go of Yan Ningzhu who had fled in the end, which must also be related to his state of mind.
When he was attacked by the demons, there were also beautiful mountains and rivers and wonderful figures in the mountains and rivers in the fixed realm, which was the best appeasement to the form and god. Since then, the dream has also turned into a kind of magic realm, and the magic realm has become the fantasy world in the primordial gods, which often appears in his current fixed realm, becoming a yearning and comfort on the way.
Baoyu instinctively wondered if this mountain and river existed in the world, and whether there was really such a person, calling him to find it in the dark. If that's the case, Baoyu must find her. The mountain god told him to travel all over the countries of Ba Yuan, break through the Six Realms of cultivation, and avenge the Qing Shui clan in the future, and Baoyu also had his own dream pursuit on Ba Yuan, but he didn't know where the destination was.
The two cities he walked through one after another were adjacent to the national capital of the Prime Minister's room, but he did not go to the national capital. Encountering Xingsha in Feihong City made Baoyu clearly realize that his cultivation was still far from the real masters in the world, and he should act more cautiously, and it was not suitable to go to a place with mixed ears and eyes and many masters in the national capital for the time being. Therefore, he passed through Taihe City and entered Longma City, walking around the national capital.
Each city has its own characteristics, for example, Feihong City is very large, with a large population, and many tribes live in it. The scale of Taihe City is less than half of Feihong City, but it is more prosperous and rich, because here on the Bayuan Plain, the earliest fertile plain to promote agriculture since ancient times, it is the most abundant and densely populated city in China, and it is also equivalent to a large granary, and the name of Taihe City is also related to this.
However, Ryoma City is another scene, it is the legendary ancient Ba country of the king of the king to subdue the dragon horse, in the southeast border of the Xiangmuro country, the territory is mountainous, most of the places are not suitable for farming, there are large areas of dense forests and mountains around the city outline. There have been many wars in this area in history, and it is now also a military town that defends the national capital, with the elite military formations of the Xiangmuro country stationed in the city outline, and the border is also guarded by soldiers all year round.
It was early spring when Baoyu arrived in Ryoma City, and he changed into lighter and thinner clothes, but the felt robe and the fur robe were not sold at the market, the felt robe was the first thing he bought with his own hands in his life, and the fox fur came from the hands of Granny Shui. The felt robe can be spread under the body overnight, and if you need to sleep, the fox robe can also be rolled up as a pillow.
In order to make it easier to walk, Baoyu bought a sackcloth package at the bazaar and carried his belongings behind his back, making him look more like a man on a long journey. Although the feather arrow was very short and light, it could no longer be hidden under the robe, so Baoyu changed the quiver and made a bamboo tube with his own hands when cutting bamboo in the mountains, and put the feather arrow and short bow in it and carried it in his bag.
This bamboo tube is very inconspicuous, and it is not even deliberately checked, and it is the most common thing around pedestrians on Ba Yuan, mainly used to hold water. After careful polishing by craftsmen, the bamboo tube can also be equipped with a screw cap or stopper, and the water will not spill out when placed in the baggage.
On this day, Baoyu walked out of the dense forest and stood on the top of the mountain and looked into the distance. At the foot of the high slope there is a mountain stream formed by a mountain stream, and there is a village next to the stream, which is built according to the gentle slope topography, and the houses are scattered and scattered, surrounded by terraced fields with stone edges. Further afield, rolling hills and plains, covered with lush vegetation, give the impression of a primeval jungle.
This was the first time Baoyu had seen a village without walls, and the courtyard walls of each house were relatively high, probably to prevent wild beasts from entering the village at night. Even in a place like Baixi Village, there is still a wall in disrepair. Whether it is a wild or plain area, there are large areas of countryside in Zhou, and the construction of walled walls is not only a habit since ancient times, but also a protection for the villagers.
The village has no walls, which is obviously related to the topography. The fields and houses are scattered along the hillside, and they are very far from each other, and it is indeed difficult to build a complete wall. But Baoyu still wondered why the inhabitants had chosen the village here, and although it was close to the water source, it was clearly more suitable to follow the stream to the uncultivated plains and hills downstream.
Baoyu thought so as to walk down the high slope along the stream. Before he reached the village, he heard the cries of a woman and a child in a courtyard.
In the distance at the foot of the mountain, the plains and hills covered with vegetation and crossed by streams were the hunting gardens of the royal family, and it is no wonder that it was uncultivated, but it did not look like a primitive mountain forest, some of which retained the original appearance of the mountain forest, while others were artificially built and leveled.
It took a long time for people to break away from the hunting and gathering life of the wilderness and enter the agricultural civilization, and also established prosperous and rich cities and kingdoms. When some classes were able to get rid of agricultural work and accept the support of the people, they set aside a large area of mountain and woodland outside the city for hunting.
Of course, this is not to tell people to return to the wild hunting life, but to have a better name, that is, to exercise the skills of fighting and cultivate the courage to fight in peacetime, which is called hunting. In fact, when the real war broke out, the soldiers who charged into battle usually had no leisure for hunting, and they were all trained in the military formation.
The so-called hunting is nothing more than the daily amusement and frolic of the children of the royal family.
The royal family's hunting garden land and mountains are all owned by the royal family, and have a special use, of course, it is forbidden for the people to occupy and reclaim at will, and there are many wild beasts such as roe deer, muntjac, antelope, fox, rabbit and so on in a large field of wilderness. Although there are many birds and beasts in the vast area, they have to go through galloping hunting every year, and large beasts such as bears, tigers and leopards are rare, often only in the depths of the hunting ground, and sometimes there are people who specialize in releasing animals in the mountains and forests for hunting.
The village is on the edge of the Hunting Garden, and the hunting grounds were demarcated before the village appeared. The villagers could not build their houses and fields within the range of the hunting grounds, and the gentle slope at the foot of the mountain was the most suitable place. That's why there is a village with scattered houses, terraced rice fields, and no walled walls.
The scope of the royal hunting garden is very large, but the boundaries are only demarcated, of course, there can be no walled walls and fences to enclose it. Therefore, although the villagers could not cultivate the fields there, they often went into the mountains and forests where the hunting grounds were located to collect wild fruits, kudzu roots, medicinal herbs and other things. Theoretically, this is not allowed, but in practice, no one cares about it, and picking some vine and kudzu fruits does not hinder anything.
The Shomuro Kingdom designated this place as a royal hunting ground, not only because it was close to the border and was home to some of the country's most elite military formations. It can better reflect the style of bravery, and the territory of Longma City is mountainous, the land is relatively barren, and the populated villages are not dense, which is the most suitable place for hunting around the national capital.
Yesterday, there was a middle-aged man named Shengyang in the village who went to cut firewood in the mountains and forests outside the village and entered the range of the hunting ground. It is very inconvenient to go up the high slope behind the village to cut firewood, the road is steeper and farther.
