However, there is still a distinction, it depends on what the situation is, for example, when Mencius answered with Chun Yuji, Chun Yuyu said that men and women are not close, and etiquette is with? Mencius replied, at this time, if you don't help, the jackals are also, men and women are not close, and the courtesy, sister-in-law, and those who give it the right are also.
Zheng Lang agrees with this point of view, the times are different, the importance is different, benevolence, righteousness and propriety are in different changes, and it is righteous to help sister-in-law, because of power, the weight is oriented towards benevolence and righteousness, and the etiquette is light, so it can reach out to the rescue. Poor Hai Rui, "Mencius" became a sub-sage in the Ming Dynasty, and he actually forced his daughter to death. Didn't you see this passage?
Chun Yu asked again, drowning today, why is the master's help? Mencius replied, the world is drowning, help the way, sister-in-law drowning, help the hand, the son wants to help the world? On the surface, the meaning is that the whole world has fallen into the water, why don't you save it, Mencius replied, the world has fallen into the water, and if you want to save it, you can only use the Tao, and the sister-in-law fell into the water, just stretch out your hand, do you want to stretch out your hand and save the world?
In fact, here, the so-called Tao contains the true meaning of Confucianism of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and faith, so benevolence, righteousness and propriety must serve it. However, it is necessary to think about it together, otherwise it may make people disagree again.
